Snowwater screeched as he spotted Sharpstar trying to shake off loads of rats.
Bigpaw ran towards him, but was cornered by a lot of other rodents.
"Braidpaw! Help your sister!"he cried as he sprintes toward his leader. He caught a glimpse of Redleg yowling as she collapsed from the weight of the enemy. Ashpaw was nowhere in sight. Snowwater went around to where no-one was to avoid rats.
"Snowwater,"a voice acknowledged.
The fur on his pelt stood up,"Ashpaw?"
The yellow apprentice stretched,"You know, Snowwater, this goes against everthing I planned,"she meowed.
Stiffled curiousity shot through him, "You should be helping Redleg; she's old and she's struggling,"he ordered.
"I don't take orders from StarClan cats,"Ashpaw snarled, calmness perishing like dew in a desert.
"StarClan?"Snowwater repeated,"But I'm-"
Pain sliced through his throat as Ashpaw's teeth locked onto it.
He gasped,"I always knew you were a traitor!"
"Then you were always right,"the apprentice purred, studying her claws,"And soon. Oh, a bit sooner than planned, AshClan will rise. It will be led by Ashstar, and the Dark Forest cats,"
The Dark Forest! He'd heard of that place. It was were treacherous cats went when they died.
"Ashpaw...please. Don't do this," Snowwater choked.
"I murdered Heatface,"Ashpaw murmured.
"What?"Snowwater exclaimed.
"I did it for AshClan,"she whispered, "And my forbidden love,"
The deputy gasped as pain pierced him. He felt himself falling to the ground. He was winded, and he didn't recover.
