the rules of the game are simple. the point of the game is to walk around the house with your candle, and only your candle. no lights are allowed. you have to avoid the midnight man at all costs. if your candle goes out, then the midnight man is somewhere around. you have ten seconds to relight your candle. if you are unsuccessful in doing so, surround yourself in a circle of salt. if you are unsuccessful of doing both, the midnight man will make you hallucinate of your worst fears until exactly 3:33 AM. one legend says that the midnight man will rip your organs out, one by one. 

if the temperature drops suddenly, or you see a dark, humanoid figure, or you hear dark whispers without any ratified source, leave the place immediately. 

you must not: 

a) turn the lights on, or use a lantern

b) leave the house

c) use another person's blood on the paper bearing your name

d) or provoke the midnight man. this could anger him.

you must also never assume, that even after 3:33 AM, when the game ends,
