Austin held his knife tightly as he slowly moved around the mansion. What he knows is that Todd is dead and that was the last person he had hope for and now it's only him in the game left and that gets scary.

How many overall competitors are still in the game, he has no idea but he knows it can't be more than five. Being in this game makes one think about their lives and everything they took for granted. He feels horrible knowing that he might die any second and he could've treated his parents better, after all, that's what they deserve after everything they provide for him.

He made his way slowly and carefully up the stairs and into a room. He aimed to hide under the bed, thinking that by now the players and demons would be tired of people hiding in such predictable places. So, he got down on the floor and crawled underneath the bed.

He was shivering in fear and hadn't realized that tears were gently rolling down his cheeks. He has never been so scared a day in his life, of course not. This isn't an everyday scenario. This is horrific and if he were to make it out alive, he swears that he'd have no choice but to appreciate life more.

He clutched the knife tightly in his hand and tried to keep his breathing normal. He looked around to try and see if he sees any feet entering the room, but there were no feet.

Suddenly, the door slammed shut and his eyes bulged. He swallowed as he saw fog emerging from the floorboard. He was panicking, of course. Because all he could think about it next time Mr Aldin yells 'lights on,' it'll be his death that was announced. The fog rose higher and made its way closer to Austin. He gripped the knife tightly, ready to swing at any given moment.

The smoke was inches away from his face, it was lukewarm like it was alive or something. The smoke slowly covered him and there wasn't much he could do since you can't cut smoke. The smoke felt strange. It was alive, it had to be. It felt heavy on his body. Holding him down. And he could feel the smoke's heart beating softly on his body.

He was consumed in smoke. It higher him all over his body. Gripping each inch of him, not letting go. The grip got slightly tighter and slightly heated up by the second.

He nearly yelled when he saw white feet with black veins standing by the bed. Just standing there, appearing out of nowhere. The figure got down on one knee and gripped the blankets that hung from the bed, his hands were like his feet. White with dark veins. It was like the figure was taunting Austin. He slowly lifted the blankets and before Austin knew it, he was having a staring contest with a young boy. Around ten maybe.

He had a pale face and the blackest eyes Austin has ever seen. With two tiny white dots. He grinned, the boy's mouth was just as black and his tongue was white. He had no teeth and that was a creepy sight to see. He put his hand out to try and reach Austin, Austin stabbed him but even though the boy appeared solid, he was still just fog. The boy laced his fingers around Austin's neck and slowly pulled him out from under the bed and held him in his hand, Austin's feet only inches off from the ground.

The little boy laughed a bit like he was only playing a game and opened his mouth. His mouth opened wide open, space bigger than his head and he brought Austin closer. Austin could scream, but he knew there was no way out and he could attempt to stab him again, but he knew the boy would still be fog. So he just closed his eyes as he felt his head enter the boy's mouth.

"Lights On!"

Mr Aldin made known and the lights went on, and instantly the boy disappeared and Austin fell face down on the ground. He was relieved that someone died. It's a horrible thing, he knows but being seconds away from death only promoted him to stay alive now more than anything.
