Where a serious conversation takes place up to the deck and a dream... makes things even more confusing for Geno.

No one's POV:

"You can't leave without the necklace, you can't leave without the necklace, you can't leave-"

"Alright, I know!" He thought annoyed. The stars and a big white crescent, were decorating the dark blue sky, illuminating the empty deck. Empty? No. 2 figures, the one almost 2 times taller than the other, were walking around and talking. And these 2, where Geno and priest Alter.

When Alter asked Captain Reaper if Geno could get out, surprisingly, he said he had no problem at all. He sounded extremely sure when he said that, as if... as if he knew that although Geno was a siren and could leave anytime he wanted, something was stopping him (oh don't tell me).

That answer surprised Alter. And it surprised Geno even more once he heard that. However that made him angry. For him, it was like Captain was mocking him, even though he couldn't know that he couldn't leave! Right?

He was also a little relieved though, he wouldn't stay locked anymore. But that night, Geno couldn't sleep. The 10 hours sleep he had, weren't letting him close eyesocket for more than 10 seconds, although priest's bed was now comfy. It was also he was a little afraid to see another dream.

From the time he stepped his foot in this ship, the few of them he had seen so far, had become weirder. Even if he wanted answers, because he was sure the dreams had to tell him a lot of things, he didn't want to panic. And so, that night he was twirling and squirming nonstopping.

He didn't know what to do and 1 hour after, sick and tired of doing nothing, he decided to stop and looked around. His look fell at Alter. He had his back turned to him, kneeled. Praying, Geno guessed and indeed he heard him whispering a long beautiful prayer (skip the pray if you're bored).

Father God,

I know you are not the source of fear and anxiety. That is Satan's realm, and he delights in causing your children pain. You do not torment us with worrisome thoughts or burden our hearts with fretfulness. You are the God of peace. You desire to give me power over my worries as I count on your love and trust in your sovereign care.

Help me remember, when fears and anxiety come knocking at my heart's door, to answer with powerful Scripture to remember you are a good God and faithful, and you will help me challenge my worries with life-building truth instead of destructive thoughts. Your peace will guard my heart and mind in Jesus' name.

"Oh stars, how he remembers every single word so easily! And he's talking with a very beautiful way!" Geno thought with admiration sitting normally at the bed. Alter got up, crossed himself and turned.

"Lord have mercy." He whispered and lifted his head. When he looked at Geno he intertwined his fingers in front of him and looked away. "Did I wake ya up?" He asked.

"It wasn't ya who woke me up. What time is it?"

"Midnight. Nearly." Alter sat next to him. "Can't sleep?" He asked looking at him.

"I slept for 10 hours, logical. But it's also..." Geno covered his face with his hands and layed back. He groaned slightly. "... My dreams are so damn weird! And they're bringing me panic even if they're not scary!" He complained.

"I see." Alter said and paused. Geno wanted to talk about the dream he saw in those 10 hours, but didn't know how to start it and if the priest was willing or interest right now to hear. It didn't go like that however. After some seconds, like he had read his thoughts, Alter inhaled and looked at him.

"If there's something ya wanna say I'm listening."

"How does he always knows what I'm thinking?!" Geno thought.

"But..." Alter got up and walked with slow steps towards the door of the room. He pushed it gently with his hand and opened it. He turned to look at Geno. "... since none of us is sleeping, would ya mind if ya were telling me while walking around the deck?" Geno raised an eyebrow(?).

"Won't that be disturbing for the others who are sleeping?"

"Nah, all the years I'm in this crew, it's no problem. Welp, shall we?" Alter asked. Geno got up and approached him. And that's why they ended up out, to the deck talking. Geno described Alter the whole dream he saw. The priest wasn't looking at him but he was listening carefully.

"More pieces that aren't making sense. The siren didn't explain me so many things. Are ya making any sense?" Geno asked Alter who had his head lowered.

"... That Morganna she was talking about... She's scared of her and warned ya to be careful if ya hear her voice. Ok, from the 1st dream ya saw her and the recent one, we can tell Morganna is an enemy, but we're not sure why exactly."

"She called me illegitimate prince in the first dream. Is this ironic? Ugh! I don't know!" Geno said, remembering the time with the shark, when he called him prince too. "In the next dream, if I see the pink haired siren I'm asking her questions and I'll get answers!"

"Don't get so angry with her Geno. She was fond and seemed to know ya very well. She knows a lot of things about you even if you've never seen her. Is she... any relative of yours? Do you remember? Can ya tell?"

"I remember growing up only with my brothers. No one else." Geno replied. Alter hummed. The 2 friends stopped near the gunwale. Geno rested his arms at it and looked at the dark sky. Alter looked up too, pressing his hands at it. They stayed silent for a minute.

"Why do ya need my help again?" Geno asked.

"What do you mean?"

"The time I was asking why should I stay with the pirates, the siren told me, they need your help. Ya said it yesterday Alter too, ya all need my help but..." Geno stretched out his left arm and looked at his palm.

"... For what? What's my purpose? To all of this?! Don't ya have already anything ya want?!" Geno slammed his fist at the gunwale and looked at him enraged but confused.

"Captain took the necklace! Alright, he took what he wanted for this mission, the 'salvation of the world'! But next, he threw me in the sea to see if I'm a damn fish and wow, would you look at that! I actually am! WHAT ELSE HE WANTS ME, FOR GOD'S SAKE?! JUST DECORATION?! PLAY?! WHAT?!"

"Shhh!" Alter placed his hand at Geno's shoulder. He could feel the smaller trembling from anger.

"The siren told ya to not listen to your hate. Now you're saying things that aren't making sense because of it and anger towards Captain and all the other pirates. Yeah, the necklace is one of the keys. We'll need it once we arrive to the 'Tearful Cave'. But we need ya too because the prophecy said it, you can save us, I know, you're playing a big role. The 'Tearful Cave' is an entrance for the siren kingdom. And since you're a siren... " Alter looked up to the sky.

"... There's one reason why you're still here."

"Oooh, I see! We arrive to the cave, open the entrance with the necklace or whatever, I'm diving and swimming to find the kingdom... to do what exactly?! How am I supposed to stop an attack or whatever, that will happen in some months if I have no idea what on earth happened and it's happening?!"

"You're angry, annoyed and confused and you're making all these questions. Because it's the start, I understand it. But because you're looking for answers, means ya want now to find the truth. Maybe..." Alter took his hand from Geno's shoulder and looked again up.

"... that's another reason why you're here except because you're the chosen of the prophecy, just the hero that will help us: to discover and find the truth about yourself. To find who you actually are. Trapped in the village for years ya knew actually nothing about yourself and never learned. But Geno, it's important and interesting, from the time ya get in the ship, many new questions but also some answers came! Ya learned that you're a siren, you saw the reason of your behavior towards specific things. That's important too. And the dreams, if they aren't making things clear now, they will, if ya think deeply and search. Patience only needs for this. And faith. You'll see the whole truth someday Geno."

He wasn't so wrong, Geno thought. In the village he never learned anything. And never cared to find something anyways. But when he got in the ship and the dreams started becoming wild and realistic, when he learned he's a siren, it was like he fell into deep mysterious waters.

Waters he wanted now to search and find more. And as Alter said he needed patience, who knew how many things were hiding and slowly were going to appear. But how much patience he could have? For how long? He wanted answers fast.

"Patience? Yeah ok. But how? I'm not you to wait for answers that will come too slow." Geno murmured. Alter chuckled.

"Who said that you need to be like me? Patience is virtue and something that anyone can slowly learn and improve if they try. Before going with the pirates, I was believing wrongfully that I was patient enough for many things. But in this ship I realised that I had more road to become truly patient. I got tested many times and needed to tolerate a lot of things to reach that point. But except from patience I learned a lot of other things. You Geno, only need to tolerate the time, which will give ya all it's answers in the end."

"Ya forgot that I also need to tolerate the pirates. The daaamn pirates! Now I'm seriously wondering if I find the answers I want, before they make me go nuts by just be close to them." Alter chuckled kindly.

"Now now son. Don't be so negative. They all seem bad by first eye sight-"

"And they are." Geno interrupted him.

"In this ship, everybody has an interesting story to tell. They passed many difficulties before be who they are now. And some of them, they're still carrying them in their hearts and souls. Some of these difficulties are similar to yours. And if ya listen to them, I think ya won't look at them with the same way."

"You're very hopeful that I'll change my mind about them and you'll get disappointed." Geno murmured crossing his arms and looked away. Alter chuckled again and to Geno's surprise he felt his hand patting gently his head. He stepped back looking at him surprised.

"Sorry, just a habit. Anyways, I think you're right. Who am I to tell that you'll change your mind because I said so? You'll decide this by yourself." Alter said and looked at the sky. From all this conversation, Geno started feeling his eyesocket getting heavier. He muffled a yawn.

"Feeling sleepy?"

"Just a little." Geno replied rubbing his eyesocket.

"Let's sit down." Alter suggested. Their backs pressed the gunwale. For 10 minutes they stayed silent. Alter wasn't looking at Geno and thought he had slept by hearing him saying nothing for so long.

"Alter." Geno murmured. Wrong, he was still awake. The priest turned to look at him. He had his arms wrapped around his knees and staring at the absolute of the night.

"What?" Alter asked.

"... Do ya have any siblings left behind?" Geno asked. For a minute the only sound was coming from the small waves that were splashing at the ship. Geno thought Alter hadn't hear the question, besides he didn't speak loud enough. He was ready to repeat it.

"2. Both dead. Years now." Alter finally replied calmly.

"Oh, I'm so-"

"I've come to terms with that, it's ok." Alter cutted him. A little abruptly Geno could tell. He guessed it was because he hadn't actually come to terms as he was saying. But he didn't force him.

Alter started murmuring prayers and the conversation between them ended completely. The prayers surprisingly, seemed to work as 'lullabies'. Priest's calm, sweet murmur seemed to relax Geno. He had close his eyesocket, it wouldn't take long until he was falling asleep.

After 10 minutes, as Alter was still praying, he felt something touching his shoulder. Surprised a little, he turned and saw that the thing that was touching it, was Geno's head, who was sleeping peacefully. He smiled and very carefully to not wake him up, carried him like a baby, back to his room.

"Well well well. Look who's back!" Geno heard a female evil voice echoing through the dark walls. He looked around with clenched fists.

"Who are you and where are you?!" He screamed. That voice was reminding him something but couldn't remember now.

"Oooh silly 'prince'. You've heard my name before. Your dear mother told you in the previous dream, didn't she?"

"Wait! M-My what?!" Geno asked surprised. The voice laughed sarcastically.

"But of course! It was your sweet mommy who warned you about me. Didn't she tell you to not listen to me when you hear my voice?!" The voice said and laughed again.

"What a sweet mother, wanting to protect with that way her child. But a disgusting traitor for all siren kind! Going with a common landlubber! Hmph! What a shame really. I wonder what she found on him! At least, she was smart enough, when you were borned, some years later, to send you 3 to the land!"

"W-What?! B-But-"

"Silly 'prince'. You don't remember how did you end up on land don't you? Why you had no one close to you to protect you, only your brothers."

"Stop!"

"And now, after 14 years! Finding you with the pirates. Tch tch tch. You're a very big stupid mistake 'prince' but you can become a bigger one if you think, even for a moment that the pirates needs your help. No, they don't see you as a help, the 'chosen of the prophecy', they will just use you to do the dangerous stuff and they won't care if you die! Now CQ confuses me even more. You can't get away without the key she threw you, because you're connected now. And that Captain you're in his ship... He's keeping it doesn't he? If you don't find it and take it, he'll send you to your death because of her! But if you find it before arriving to the 'Tearful Cave', you'll get free!"

"STOP IT!" Geno screamed kneeling and shutting his ear holes. The voice started laughing nonstopping, on purpose, wanting to torture him.

Geno had never felt so confused. He remembered when he was saying that he wanted answers quickly. He was regretting now, because he wasn't feeling able to understand all these revelations he heard. And would he even remember them when he would wake up?
