Where nobody seems to believe Geno for the storm. However, expected but even unexpected faces starts doubting that the trip will go smoothly too

No one's POV:
-

"NO!" Geno screamed as he was getting up abruptly. Alter flinched hearing him and approached him.

"Geno!" He said placing his hands at smaller's shoulders. Geno was pressing his hands on his skull and looking down terrified, breathing fast.

"Storm... storm..." He was repeating nonstopping.

"Storm?"

"Retreat... retreat... retreat..." Geno changed words. And then suddenly, he got up himself and ignoring the priest walked out of the room.

"Geno wait!" Alter called but Geno didn't turn. He kept walking to find and go up to the deck.

"Oh my God oh my God oh my God, storm's coming, storm's coming storm's coming..." He was repeating nonstopping in him. From his agitation and panic he couldn't stop repeating. Even when he stepped his foot on his deck. Whoever was near was looking at him confused and in wtf phase.

Geno raised his head and looked up, only to get shocked and... very confused. The sky was all cyan and the sun was bright. There was not even the smallest cloud to 'stain' the sky.

"Wha-? I... I don't get it..." He thought still looking around.

"Yo fishstick, you lost something that flew in the sky?" Dave, who was near at that time, asked to mock. In any other case Geno would have reply,

"Go f*ck yourself d*ck ball!"

But this time he didn't deign reply to him. He only kept looking up. Dave approached and stood next to him, looking up too.

"If you're looking for stars so desperately wait until it gets darker fishstick." He said waiting again for reaction. But for one more time with surprise he didn't hear Geno saying anything. The skeleton only started walking, looking one in front to watch where he goes and one up again to the sky. Dave started following him like the annoying mosquito in summer.

"Damnit fishstick, will you say at last what you're looking for?" The tiger monster asked again, now a little bit annoyed.

"Storm..." Geno murmured lost.

"Eh?" Dave did, not understanding for a moment what Geno said. But then he raised his eyebrows.

"A storm's coming?" He asked. Geno literally twitched his head and looked up to him.

"Yes..." He managed to murmur. For some silent seconds Dave was looking down to him serious and confused.

And then suddenly he started laughing

"*WHEEEEEZE* HOLY F*CK FISHSTICK! HAS YOUR ONLY EYESOCKET LOST IT'S SH*T TOO LIKE THE OTHER?! GUYS GUYS! COME HEAR SOME FUNNY THINGS THE FISHSTICK SAID!" He called and the pirates gathered around. Still laughing, Dave started walking, doing circles around Geno.

"Mickey cousin, may I ask you some simple things first?" He asked looking at Michael now. "First of all, look up to the sky." Raising an eyebrow Michael looked up.

"Ok?"

"Do you see clouds?"

"Uuuh, no?"

"Do you see even the smallest white clouds, that doesn't even prepares rain at least?"

"No?" Michael replied again and looked at Dave even more confused. "Why are you asking?" Dave left again a loud laughter.

"This is where the joke ends! The fishstick claims that it's gonna rain hard!" He said and everyone started laughing. Geno clenched his fists and teeth, his blood had started boiling from anger.

"IS IT SO FUNNY THAT WE'RE ALL GONNA DIE SOON? SCREW YOU!"

"Hah! You're totally nuts!" One of the pirates said and everyone started laughing again, making Geno even angrier.

"Oh no! The skies will open and it's going to rain sooo hard! Oh wait I can suddenly already feel drips on my face! I'm so scared!" Dave pulled the rope more and Geno spontaneously left an aggressive hiss. The glitched cloud had started slowly dissappearing and his iris from pale white, started making red and blue meanders.

"Enough!" Markus shouted, pushing the other pirates away and stood between Dave and Geno.

"Chill Markus! Come on, laugh a little bit." Dave said with a huge grin. Markus crossed his arms looking grimly at Dave. His look slowly turned to look at Geno, who's iris had turn again white but his teeth and fists were still clenched. The glitched cloud was staying smaller than the usual. Markus stood 3 steps away from him.

"I heard what you said too. I'm not laughing. But with all due respect I can show as a pirate, do you have any proof that it's going to rain? That a storm is coming?" He asked very calmly raising his eyebrows and his dark brown eyes turned even darker. Geno looked up to him a little surprised.

Markus was obviously showing like the others that he wasn't believing him. Yet he wasn't challenging him, nor mocking him. As always Geno didn't know how to act towards him. He looked away, relaxing a little bit, only his fists were clenched. But because he had to answer and because he knew that he would sound totally ridiculous if he was saying how was he supporting his words, he preferred to not take this any further. He sighed defeated.

"No. I don't have any strong and logic proof." He murmured. Markus closed his eyes and sighed.

"If you're trying to hold back this mission now that it's close to end by saying stuff that doesn't make any sense, I'm sorry but it's not the time for these airs and graces. Not for Captain especially. If you wanted to avoid this fate, you would have dived days now and leave. But for reasons I'm not understanding you haven't left." Markus looked around to the other pirates.

"You all leave Geno alone and wait for Captain's orders." He said with a little bit raised tone and all pirates walked away. Only Michael stayed a little bit longer, looking at Geno with confusion and worry in his ocean blue eyes. But one silent sign from Markus made him finally walk away. The boatswain looked again at Geno and after some silent seconds sighed.

"I'm sorry. You've been dragged into this without wanting it, but..." He didn't finish his word. He closed his eyes lowering his head.

Geno stayed motionless looking at him lost in his thoughts. But the sound of soft footsteps made him turn. Some steps away from him he saw Alter standing, his hands in front of him that the long wide sleeves were covering. Markus walked away too after some time. Geno sighed and with lowered head approached Alter.

"Son, you had me worried." Alter started. Geno didn't say anything. "Do you wanna tell me what did you see?" He asked after some seconds. Geno inhaled and exhaled a little loudly. He described the dream and what he heard. At the point of the storm Alter covered a little his mouth worried. His irises had dissappeared.

"From the time I said that a storm is coming, nobody believed me. Well obviously, they're all, except ya, a bunch of idiots!" Geno said sighing loudly and crossed his arms annoyed.

"Oh dear. A storm?" Alter asked.

"Can't you talk to the Captain about it?" Geno asked with a glimmer of hope in him. "He listens to ya, doesn't he?" Alter looked at Geno sorrowfully lowered his head and shook it left and right with closed eyesockets and crossed arms.

"My words doesn't always have affect to him son. Captain is a very stubborn man. He doesn't retreat that easily if he has a goal. *sigh* This stubbornness of his has brought many times consequences, more bad for himself." He said. Geno lowered his head.

"Tch! And because of his actions I ended up to help him with his little problem!"

"It's also that I don't think he's gonna believe that your dreams are revealing things that are predicting what will happen ahead. Generally, Captain Reaper doesn't believe easily anything he hears until he sees by himself. Besides, now that we're all close to the 'Tearful Cave' there's no way he's gonna retreat like the last time we went there."

"Now that ya said we're close!" Geno suddenly said, despite being some seconds ago angry and annoyed. "All this time the ship isn't moving. Why did we stop if we're not to the 'Tearful Cave' yet?" He asked. Indeed the ship wasn't going up and down as much as it would do if it was moving, long time now.

"I don't know. I honestly don't know what he's planning." Alter said shaking his head left and right. But he looked around for some silent seconds before turning to look at Geno again. "But if I gotta guess why we stopped to this specific abandoned bay, nor far away from the 'Tearful Cave', nor close... I think we're hiding. Until Captain says so, we won't move from this bay."

"Hiding from what?" Geno asked with raised eyebrow(?).

"*sigh* We won't be able to understand completely what's in Captain's mind until he says so." Alter replied. Geno stood close to the gunwale and looked around. The ship had dropped it's anchor almost to the centre of something like a rocky bay. The rocks above seemed threatening like they were glaring at the ship and wanted to fall on it.

Huge rocky spikes were coming out of water's surface like stalagmites in caves, or like Charybdis teeth when she's about to swallow water, making the icon of this bay even creepier. God name it bay, it didn't even seem safe for a ship to stop! Why would Captain choose such a place to drop anchor if it was dangerous for the ship to collide with any bottom rock and sink?

And yet... Only a skillful helmsman, only someone who knew the seas very well and each part and place of them separately would be able to guide the ship so well between these rocks of this bay. Without hitting any and without seeing them(if they are bottom)! And besides, if this bay wasn't allowing any ships to drop anchor there, Captain wouldn't have choose to stop here.

Even in the situation Geno was, he kinda let the admiration for Captain's skills get him. However he quickly snapped out of it coming back to reality and shook his head left and right annoyed. It didn't matter right now to think positively or anything, it wasn't time and it would never be.

"If it serves his plans, whatever they are, then why not stop?" He thought rolling his eyesocket. "How long is the ship stopped here?" He asked Alter then to drift away the thoughts.

"Not too long after you slept, Captain guided the ship in this bay. We're at least 3 hours hidind here." Alter replied.

"*sigh* Those nightmares are never letting me sleep in peace and I sleep in any time of the day..." Geno murmured and pressed his elbows at the gunwale and his jaw rested at his hands, looking to the sky thoughtful again. He didn't change any words with the priest again.

3 hours later...

The sun was about to dissappear beneath the water. The sky was sharing with the cyan color, rosy and orange hues. The opening of the rocky bay had the luck to give this view for anyone who wanted to watch. Geno was still standing in the same position. Alter wasn't near anymore and he didn't really mind.

"U-Um... Geno?" He would have stayed in the same position for much longer if he wasn't getting interrupted by hearing someone else's voice. Hearing his name, Geno turned and saw Michael staring at him. He seemed... concerned about something.

"What nipper?" He asked the young pirate a little annoyed. Michael rubbed the back of his head avoiding Geno's eye contact. But then he looked again at him.

"What was that thing you were saying... about... the storm?" He asked and unconsciously his blue eyes took a darker tone from worry and concern.

"Did your stupid cousin sended ya? Go away." Geno said and hissed lightly. Michael took a step back but didn't turn to walk away. The skeleton huffed annoyed and turned again his back to look in front. Michael stared at him silently for some seconds. Before saying something that wouldn't keep Geno with his back turned for long.

"Did you get warned by a dream?" He asked. Geno's eyesocket widened up from shock and looked at Michael.

"That's exactly what happ-!" He started with the shock getting him for a moment. But then he looked at Michael suspicious. "Hold up, how didja know that I'm having dreams?" He asked raising an eyebrow(?). Michael looked away and started stepping back.

"U-Uuum... I g-guessed it?" He stuttered. Geno walker towards him with a quiet hiss escaping from his throat.

"Did Alter told ya you little-!"

"N-no!"

"He's trusting ya enough to share what's going on with me, doesn't he?" Geno asked again letting a louder hiss. Michael started shaking.

"Genooo. no!" Alter suddenly came walking out of nowhere and stood between Michael and Geno. He turned to look at Michael. "Son, how do ya know about the dreams? Were you eavesdropping?" He asked calmly. Michael looked down intertwining his fingers in front of him.

"A-Accidentally at f-first. Then I-I got curious to hear wh-what's going on." Michael stuttered. Geno clenched his fists and hissed again. Michael became even more pale. Alter seemed ready to say something. But Geno prevented him.

"Whatever. It doesn't really matter who knows and who doesn't. Besides I'll die." He murmured and turned his back, walked towards the gunwale and rested his arms at it. A gentle breeze at that moment passed through the ship. Geno closed his eyesocket to enjoy the cold that was passing. But not for long.

Geno opened again his eyesocket and looked around. Who were talking? The voices didn't sound familiar to him. Suddenly something came back in his mind. From the happy memories his mother showed him. When he was 5...

Hello prince Geno~

How are you priiince?~

Come ooon! Sing with us the songs we bring from faaar away~

"M-Mommyyy!" He called worried but mostly scared. He was sitting to the sandy beach playing with some rocks when he heard those voices that were sounding like crystal dripping water, nightingale's song or like a whistle. CQ came out of the house and sat close to him.

"What's wrong honey?" She asked worried.

"T-There are these weird voices that are greeting me. I don't know from where they're coming!" Geno said and looked up to CQ.

Do not be afraid of us priiince~

"Aaah! There they are again!" Geno skirled and wrapped his tiny arms around CQ. But his mother chuckled softly.

"Now I understand for what you're talking about. What you hear is nothing but the wind my son." She said. Geno raised his head and looked at her surprised.

"The... The wind?"

"Yes. Sirens, but even mermaids, can hear wind's messages. The wind travels everywhere and brings them from very far away to the ones who understands it. You can talk with it, ask questions and favors."

"Wooow. So awesome!" Geno said impressed and his only iris turned to a star.

"Isn't it? Do not be afraid from now on if you hear wind's voice. Remember also that if you ever feel lonely..."

"... The wind will be here for you always." Geno whispered and looked down covering his mouth with his scarf a little. He wasn't so panicked from some of the things the wind said, he knew them already. But he was confused for other things. His soul wasn't ready for it's song?

Free your soul from the shield of hate to sing it's song without burden? The necklace isn't enough to open the road, you must sing the song of your soul, when your soul is pure from hate? What was the meaning of all these?! Especially that phrase...

"The darkness won't be captain's ally and cover for his plaaan but his enemy. They will attack you aaall~"

Darkness? And... Who will attack?!!! Geno groaned and covered his face with his hand trying to understand what he just heard.

"Let's go son. He doesn't want company right now." Alter whispered and pat Michael's shoulder. Him and Michael turned to leave. Suddenly the boy stopped, closed his eyes a little bit and

Achoo!

Geno flinched a little bit but didn't turn to look. Although he had to say, Michael's sneeze sounded adorable. It was like a kitten's. Wow, a man who sneezes like that! Geno let a small smile appear on his face. But it wasn't only one sneeze, Michael let 2 more sneezes like that.

"Ya ok son?" Alter asked.

"*sniff* Yes priest Alter." Michael said. And finally, Geno heard the priest and the boy walking away. He was now all alone. But again, that silence wasn't meant to last for more than 10 seconds. Geno had his eyesocket closed and thinking deeply. So deeply he didn't hear the footsteps from the boots approaching him. Only when he felt someone jogging his shoulder.

"Genocide!" Geno flinched hearing the full version of his name and turned to look who jogged him. Not like he didn't recognise him from the voice.

"Dog face!" Geno said and hissed at Ramirez taking a step back. The doctor looked at him with apathy. Only when Geno relaxed a little he realised that the doctor wasn't alone. Some steps behind him he saw Aldo. His attention stayed to him for a moment before seeing Ramirez taking a step towards him. He twitched his head and hissed.

"Back of ya son of a b*tch! Ya came to annoy me too?!" He asked.

"What was that thing about the storm?" He asked abruptly. Aldo pat Doctor's shoulder and started gesturing once Ramirez turned. Geno wasn't very good with hand gesturing but he got what Aldo said for this time.

"Will you explain already why do you bother talking to him-" Before he could finish Ramirez grabbed his wrists.

"Stop gesturing for a moment asking for explanations!" He barked and then let his wrists.

"YOU NEVER EXPLAIN ANYTHING!" It was what Ramirez would see Aldo gesturing, if he hadn't his back turned and looking at Geno.

"You said about a storm before." Ramirez said again calmly. Geno clenched his teeth and fists.

"WILL YA ALL LEAVE ME ALONE FOR ONCE?!" He screamed and hit his foot to the floor.

"I don't have time for your crap."

"Then go away!" Geno replied and hissed. Ramirez pinched his nose(the same sh*t i showed in a previous chapter, i didn't and still i don't know how to name it exactly) and sighed. But then he looked again at him.

"Answer me this only Genocide." He started and crossed his arms.

"First, it's Geno! Not Genocide! Second, if I answer will ya leave me alone already?!"

"Whatever." Ramirez murmured rolling his eyes. "How did you know that a storm will come?" He asked. Geno and Aldo's eyes widened up.

"Huh?!"

"No huhs! How did you know?!" Ramirez asked again. Geno didn't know if the doctor was joking or not. But if he wanted to get rid of him as fast as he could he preferred to go with whatever he wanted.

"Screw this sh*t! In the situation I'm in it can't get any more ridiculous!" He thought and glared at Ramirez. "Because I'm the one who's gotta save your Captain's ass, as the 'chosen' I'm having some magic weird dreams that are waking me up out of the blue and one of them happened to tell me that we're gonna have a storm, in a f*cking sunny day!"

He answered fast, very annoyed and mostly angry, then crossed his arms waiting for Ramirez's reaction. The doctor looked down thoughtful and crossed his arms. But not for long. He suddenly looked away and clenched his teeth and fists.

"Scheisse!" He barked. Whatever that meant, Geno guessed the doctor was worried about something. "It wasn't craziness after all. The dreams are one step ahead once again! Mist mist mist!" He continued.

"Buddy? What's wrong?" Aldo gestured.

"It's wrong that we're all going to die!" Ramirez replied and started walking away with fast steps.

"Wait! You... actually believe me?!" Geno asked surprised following him with Aldo.

"Whether I like it or not sirene, you are right!" Ramirez replied sharply as he was still walking. "But it's not only about the dream! Sometimes I feel that I'm the only observant in this ship!" He murmured then.

"But why?! How are ya so sure too that-!"

"No questions and stop following me!" Ramirez barked again, causing many heads to turn and look at him surprised.

"Can someone explain what fly sting him again?" Dave asked sarcastically with raised eyebrow as Ramirez was passing, not giving time for his crap either. Geno and Aldo finally gave up and stopped following the doctor. They only stared at Ramirez as he was getting away, even though they were very curious. Where was he going?

Captain Reaper was watching from his spy glass around the area and far away. For now everything was very good, no sign of unpleasant visits. He let the spy glass and took off his one glove. Despite frowning for a moment seeing his marks, he ignored quickly and put his index finger in his mouth.

Then he took it out and waited for some seconds the breeze to blow. He could barely feel the cold passing because as skeleton he didn't have problem with cold. But soon he let his hand fall and smiled satisfied.

"So far so good." He thought.

"Sir." Captain flinched and hurried to wear his glove again. Luckily he had his back turned. When he wore it, he turned and saw Ramirez standing 5 steps away from him with his hands behind his back and bending a little in front.

"You can stand normally now Doc." Captain said smiling and placed his hands at his hips. Ramirez raised his head and looked at Captain. His expression wasn't so grim now, the face he had with almost anyone else.

"Sir, may I tell you something?" He asked. Captain Reaper chuckled.

"And you're asking?" He said cheerfully. But before Ramirez could start talking he looked up, closed his eyesockets and took a deep breath. "Ya feel it Ramirez?! Perfect weather, the wind goes the way I expected and wanted..." He turned his back and raised his hands in the air high. "Damn, like it's telling us go ahead as fast as ya can fellas!" He turned again to look at Ramirez still smiling. " Don't you agree?"

"I would have prefer to try and share the same excitement Sir. However I have doubts for this... 2nd visit to the 'Tearful Cave'." Ramirez said and crossed his arms. His expression got slightly darker. Captain looked at him confused and surprised.

"You Ramirez? Doubts?! How weird, ya don't usually mind anything! Is it because we might find something unpleasant to face?" He chuckled and turned his back. "C'mon Doc, you've faced sirens and mermaids again, what's worse than that?"

"The storm the siren saw before anyone could see." Ramirez said very serious. Captain turned to look at him shocked.

"Doctor! My my, from when you started believing that easily anything that doesn't have explanation?" He asked and chuckled. "Ya heard what our siren said and took it seriously?" He continued still quite cheerful, thinking that Ramirez was probably kidding and not bringing objection with that way, obviously he didn't know him be like that.

"I'm not joking Sir. I'm never joking." Ramirez replied calmly and clenched his fists. "I prefer 10.000 times to explain things with logic rather with fairytales or myths. But the prophecy is one step ahead of what's expected with logic this time. At first I thought the siren was faking it and lying that there will be a storm to scare us and not go to the 'Tearful Cave'. But later, even if I didn't want to... I got serious doubts. We can't go."

"What are ya trying to say exactly Doctor?" Captain asked kinda threateningly. "And how do you support your proofs that there will be a storm?" He asked again. But both his eyesockets were empty. A shiver run down Ramirez's spine. But he fought to stay calm.

"I'm not with siren's side because of the magic dream that warned him and believed him. For other reason I find however to believe what he believes too. The weather feels wrong Sir. You feel it positive and like luck is by our side. But it's not for me. I... learned how to understand when the weather is promising a good trip or not." He answered kinda... ambiguously.

Captain looked at him still dead serious with his hands at his hips for many seconds. But when he approached Ramirez, the doctor felt his hands shaking lightly. He tried to stay motionless and chill again. Captain stopped in front of him still with the same deadly expression.

"You dare doubt me Doctor?" He asked. Ramirez opened his mouth to say something. Bur one more shiver ran down his spine and didn't answer immediately.

Captain Reaper was the only person he was respecting as much as he was fearing also. But he had the character to say his opinion even to the ones you don't want bring objections unless you wish to die, like Captain Reaper. Even if he knew that the consequences would be negative he wasn't holding back to speak.

"Priest Alter... Dared to doubt you too the last time..." He dared to say and Captain Reaper flinched, his chill for a moment broke. "The same thing happened to him like with Geno... because priest is 'blessed' from a siren... he was warned before the disaster. He knew the next move... he knew what was coming... his symbol too with it's way... showed that something would go wrong... But nor you nor Captain Nightmare... wanted to hear him... and you both ended up cursed... now the siren... is warning us... And whether I like it or not... he's right... not mostly because of the dream, although that's truth... but for my personal reasons and that odd... So... I'm covered enough and dare to say... that... Apparently my opinions... aren't the same as yours for this time... Captain." Ramirez managed to speak very slowly, preferring that, rather than stuttering.

"... Kneel and lower you head." Captain said very coldly after a small pause. Ramirez's eyebrows got raised only for just a moment, he knew what Captain was going to do. But he obeyed. For some seconds nothing happened. Until he felt Captain's glove-wore hand on the top of his head.

"Do I look like I'm gonna retreat now that I'm so close Doctor?" Captain Reaper asked with a voice that sounded like it was coming from the depths of Hades. Unconsciously, Ramirez's ears lowered a tiny bit. "I'm not if ya wanna hear it out loud. You're not that dumb to believe weird and ridiculous stuff. If ya don't have any stronger proof, escorted with some logic that a storm will come, then you sound like the siren. We might have failed to take any treasure the last time because we didn't listen to Alter. But the odd ya said will not make me retreat like a coward now that I'm so close. I don't care so much for the sirens and the mermaids we'll face, cause we all know the solution for this. But there will be. No. Storm... Now, you'll keep your mouth closed and not continue with this nonsense. Understandable?" Captain waited for Ramirez to answer, who's ears were completely lowered now.

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=67f8sCqmwxU

"... Yes Sir." The doctor replied very calmly even though cold shivers were running nonstopping down his spine. Captain hummed, stroked Ramirez and in the end pat three times his head. He stepped back with his hands at his hips still dead serious.

"That's what I thought." He said. Then he turned his back with his hands behind. He only turned his head very little, still serious and strict. "In about 2 hours we're sailing. Say it to the others now that you'll go, to prepare the ship and themselves. And as I said, I don't wanna hear anything about what we talked right now. Anything..."

"Doc, what the f*ck was that outburst?!" Geno asked once he saw Ramirez approaching with lowered head. But very quickly he saw something was off. Especially when Aldo ran towards him and placed his hand at doctor's shoulder with a concerned expression. For the first time Geno saw Ramirez's ears lowered. What had even happen?

"Yes... No, I... no big deal..." These were the only words Geno caught when Ramirez turned to Aldo. Alter stood next to Geno looking to the doctor worried.

"Oh God, what did Captain tell him..." He murmured. Geno looked at him surprised.

"Do ya know exactly why the dog is like that?" He whispered. Alter shook his head left and right.

"I don't know what he discussed with Captain Reaper. But whatever it was, it was serious enough for Captain to pet him." Geno looked at Alter confused.

"Excuse me what?" He asked crossing his arms. Alter sighed and crossed his arms too.

"There's nothing more humaliating for Ramirez than getting pats on his head from Captain. He doesn't care for punishments that can cause pain. But the pats are the worst way for him. He just doesn't like it." Alter replied.

"Aaaw!" Dave suddenly did behind them making Geno flinch. But he was looking at Ramirez with a sarcastic smirk and crossed arms. "Did the puppy get pat pat from Captain? Boo hoo hoo!" All of a sudden Ramirez's ears went straight up and looked at the tiger monster with clenched teeth and fists.

"Vulva!" He barked. And the very next moment he started talking in a language that sounded rough. Geno wasn't understanding sh*t.

"*sigh* There he goes he's enraged and speaks in german now." The small skeleton looked up to Alter confused hearing him murmuring that. He didn't prevent to ask what the heck was going on though. Dave laughed.

"You should chill out a little if we want to understand what you're even saying and if you speak normally!" He replied sarcastically. Ramirez started walking towards him enraged. "Oh ho ho! We're gonna fight?! I see! Bring it on 'sea dog'!" Dave challenged Ramirez taking battle stand as the doctor was lifting his sleeves.

But they didn't prevent to touch each other. Something cyan, like a rope, flew towards Dave and Ramirez making a cracking sound as it was wrapping around them.

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=NSvIgJUb8wo

"What the-!" Dave said trying to untie himself. But suddenly he left a small roar of pain as the rope seemed to make... deep blue spikes when he was moving. Ramirez from the time the rope had wrap around him hadn't move an inch.

"That's enough!" Markus voice was heard. And only then Geno saw that the weird cyan ropes he saw, were starting from boatswain's hands, they were actually very long whips! And his eyes had changed color. The dark brown color of his eyes, the natural color, was now cyan and the dots in the centre of his eyes weren't black but deep blue. The small skeleton raised his eyebrows(?) surprised.

"Patience combined with integrity! Woaaah..." He thought as he was seeing Markus' serene and calm expression showing more seriousness now that he was using magic. This was how his magic was working and his weapon. Whips with spikes!

"Yo Markus! Hey buddy! Will you untie me now?!" Dave asked looking at Markus. The human looked at him still serious. But instead of untying him, he made the whip that was tying Ramirez dissappear.

"Oh come on! Why him?!" Dave complained.

"Because he's more patient than you, he hasn't speak nor complain and right now instead of trying to kill you..." Markus looked at Ramirez sharply who actually was ready to move towards Dave but stopped. "... he's going to explain freely, what did Captain told him, what they said." He completed and waited with crossed arms.

Ramirez took a deep breath, crossed his arms too and looked down for some seconds. Then, he revealed the conversation. It was remarkable how calmly he was revealing everything and admitting! Admitting he was believing too that a storm was coming. Geno listened to him surprised, he wasn't expecting support from him.

"Hold up Doc! Are you nuts?! You say that you believe the nonsense the fishstick said?! From when did you become his buddy?!" Dave interrupted and everyone started looking one at Geno and one at Ramirez. The Shepherd guffawed sarcastically and serious and placed his one hand on his hip.

"Two people doesn't support each other because they feel sympathy for one another always. In this situation I do not support the siren because I feel any pity or sympathy for him. And I don't absolutely support him because he said a dream warned him. For a moment like all of you, I thought he was saying crap. But it happened and I saw something... that makes me have the same belief with him and admit that his dream might have convinced me a tiny bit too." He said giving one quick look to Geno.

"BULLSH*T!" Dave roared. "You're as nuts as him!"

"Whether me and the siren are the only ones who are nuts, I don't care. But I know that we're not the only ones. I believe him mostly because of some different odds. The priest..." Ramirez said turning his head at Alter. "... believes the siren because he's his very good buddy and it's logic to worry and believe him. Our crumb..." He continued looking now at Michael.

"... I'm pretty sure believes the siren too because he believes whatever priest Alter believes too. Or because he's eavesdropping accidentally many times. So, count four nuts in this ship mister!"

"DO YOU HAVE ANY PROOF! ALL OF YOU FOUR THAT A F*CKING STORM WILL COME ALREADY?!" Dave asked.

"Volume down Dave!" Markus ordered squinting threatingly at him. He turned to look at Ramirez. "But his question is still correct. Doctor Ramirez, to finish with this situation, is there any proof indeed for your doubts and worries?" He asked while the whip was disappearing from Dave. Ramirez crossed his arms looking at Markus.

"I would have say how did I reach this conclusion. Buuut, since I'm sooo 'nuts', who will believe me? Too baaad." He asked with clear sarcasm in his voice and shrugged his shoulders. "But hear this out at least, all of you straw-head peasants! Our priest warned us the last time, he knew what was coming because of a dream too!" Ramirez started and Geno looked at Alter surprised.

"For the ones who doesn't seem to remember it, he said that he saw a dream where sirens were attacking us when we were in the 'Tearful Cave' and that, one big chest was hiding a 'very bad surprise'! Yeah sure, there was no way anyone would believe him! We all called him an idiot, insane, a fool to believe in dreams that much. First and better me! And guess what! The Captains got cursed, they separated and we're all like sh*t, IN THIS F*CKING SITUATION, BECAUSE! WE DIDN'T! LISTEN!"

"Ramirez?! Chill out!" Markus stopped him raising a little his voice. Ramirez looked at him enraged and 'charged' from his words. But he sighed placing his one hand at his hip.

"Very well then. Whoever thinks that this trip will go better than the last one I'll let you think that way. And also, Captain Reaper told me to not continue with this 'nonsense' supposedly. So it's better to end it here. However, he told me one more important thing to pass it to all of you before I go away."

And there, Ramirez revealed that the ship in less than two hours would be ready to sail and that everyone must prepare. Enthusiasm and excitement appeared on almost everyone's expressions, they seemed to forget Ramirez's heavy words a little bit. About them being prepared, there seemed to be no problem. They were!

"Finally! Some real action!" Dave said more excited than almost anyone else.

"Patience everyone! We all must wait for Captain's orders! And until then start preparing the ship!" Markus ordered and everyone started slowly getting away still talking excited.

"I had to imagine he had the trait of patience in him." Geno thought looking at Markus, who slowly looked at him, Michael, Alter, Ramirez and Aldo, who hadn't leave his side.

"You all go too. No objections." Markus said calmly. The brown color of his eyes had returned minutes now. "And as I said. No more conversation and objections Ramirez. Captain has taken his decision and we must go with whatever he's planning for this time."

"So you don't believe me either huh?" Ramirez asked with apathy. Markus sighed.

"Patience has it's limits Doctor. We can't pay attention right now, there's no time saying nonsense about-... about..." He suddenly from serious turned shocked. His eyes had widen up and was staring down at something? At what?

"Markus? A-Are you alright?" Michael asked waveringly.

"Doctor..." Markus whispered still shocked. "Forget what I just said... that you and Geno were saying nonsense... and count me in the 'nuts' team too..."

"What the f*ck is your problem Markus? Weren't you saying a minute ago-" Ramirez tried to ask with raised eyebrow.

"I know what I was saying... But... but..." Markus for a moment stopped, still staring somewhere no one could understand.

"Markus? What are you staring at?" Michael asked totally terrified now.

"Now... it found to appear... Priest Alter..." Markus whispered but still they all heard him. They turned to look at Alter who raised an eyebrow(?) confused. "... Your... your right wrist..." Alter looked down on his right wrist and lifted his sleeve, only for his white irises to dissappear.

"Uh oh..." He only said. Ramirez held his hand and looked at his wrist too. Aldo looked above his shoulder and his eyes widened up.

"The symbol..." Ramirez murmured serious but his voice was hiding some concern. Geno approached to look at what everyone was staring. His iris dissappeared seeing what everyone else was seeing. On Alter's right wrist, the «Sirens' symbol» wasn't golden and bright anymore. It had the color of the copper.

And the gems weren't colorful and shining, they had the same color with the whole trident. But the worst thing was that a weird thick black and golden liquid was running from Alter's wrist. How weird, this wasn't the color of his blood. As if...

"The symbol is bleeding..." Ramirez murmured and took two steps back. Geno looked at everyone confused. They seemed very serious about it, he was understanding that something was terribly wrong. But why?

"Count me in the 'nuts' team too!" Aldo gestured and Ramirez nodded, although he was more chill than everyone else, with some clear agitation.

"Alter? What's the meaning of this? Why is the symbol... bleeding?" Geno asked looking up to Alter. The priest turned very slowly to look at Geno. But he didn't answer.

"Oh no..." Markus murmured covering his mouth with his one hand and looking away. "Like the last time..."

"Last time?" Geno asked.

"The last time we went to the 'Tearful Cave'. Last time... this happened..." Michael replied pointing at Alter's wrist. "When we were close... and long after he told us the dream... his symbol started doing this... And we... and we didn't know what was meaning. Until..." He didn't continue from his shock and fear. But Geno had understood enough. Still however, that wasn't answering his questions.

"Why is the trident bleeding? What does it mean?" Geno asked again, waiting from any of the five to say something. For many seconds no one answered.

"Big danger ahead..." Geno turned and looked at Markus, he was the one who said that.

"... and..." But the boatswain hadn't finish yet. Geno waited with worry and agony to hear him. That silence lasted longer. Until...
