(when i say, you'll start the song)

Where Geno gives an amazing performance and with some extra help near the end, takes an epic win. Drama comes ahead...

No one's POV:
-

The guitar's last chords echoed inside the restaurant and then, complete silence overcame everything. Geno closed his eyesocket and took a deep breath for what was about to happen. It was his big moment to shine now, to restore his and every other monster's dignity. He waited...

...

(ok, enough dramatic-epic words, start the song now y/n!)

Geno closed his eyesocket and focused on the beat of the music as it began. He focused on dedicating himself to it, that's what he was told and learned. As the beat was slowly getting more intense he decided to open again his eyesocket and looked at the humans.

They were still smirking sarcastically and confident, that they had this battle for sure. (at 0:14) They started dancing. Geno admitted to himself, they had very good synchronization, it was as if they were each other's reflection. After a while (at 0:24), Francisco turned to look at Geno.

"Alright menina. Let's see what you got!" He said and with João took the exact same pose. Geno lowered head and smirked wider.

"Time to shine." He thought.

(at 0:28) As the guitar started playing more intensively all monsters' expressions from worried and concerned turned in a matter of nanoseconds surprised. There was not a single mouth that didn't open even a little, eyes that didn't open wide.

Especially Alter, the goat siblings and Atalanta's. They were all staring one at Geno's direction and one to each other. Quickly the surprise turned to impression though. All monsters were now whispering to each other excited, staring at Geno, gasping in awe, the wows were coming and spreading.

The small skeleton's steps, like fire were hitting the floor, the fast twirls he was taking seemed to make everyone more dizzy than he should be. Parallely, his arms were moving fast and sharply, yet gracefully, like feathers in wild wind.

(at 0:42) He stopped with his right hand on the height of where his stomach was and the left one on top of his head. He was breathing deeply and staring now at the humans' direction who were staring at him more shocked than any other monster.

Temporarily at that moment Danarei stopped playing the continuance of the music, staring at the little skeleton betraying surprise and just playing really quietly to let the monsters burst in clapping, whistle excited and admire out loud Geno's dynamic amazing beginning.

Geno smiled proudly, he discreetly turned to look at Alter's direction and fought to not chuckle as he saw him completely off guard surprised. However Tefra seemed to ask him something while staring at the smaller skeleton. With the exact same surprise, after a few seconds Alter answered her.

"After my win I'll ask what they discussed." Geno thought.

"Woooah, ladies and gentlemen, we have quite the fighter here!" Danarei said out loud as her friends were clapping. That seemed to annoy the humans and Geno laughed sarcastically.

"What's wrong? Cat got your tongues men? Or perhaps I stepped on them accidentally?" He mocked, making the monsters laugh.

"Whatever! It's only the beginning!" Francisco said trying to sound chill. But Geno could see it, he had make them TERRIFIED.

"Alright then. Miss Danarei please continue!" Geno said still staring at the humans with a big sarcastic smirk.

(at 0:42) The humans started dancing faster, doing more impressive moves, stepping away from each other and coming again close, twirling while making circles together. Now they were serious, seeing that they were facing a much more capable opponent than they had think at first.

(at 0:55) They stopped dancing and gave Geno his turn, who did even better moves than before, receiving more applause. (at 1:06) As the music got again faster and intensive Geno started spinning fast, in total 8 times before falling on one knee with hands in the air.

(at 1:10) "¡Olé!" He yelled giving to the humans their turn. Or so they thought as they danced alone only for a few seconds and suddenly (at 1:17) Geno stood up and started dancing again, making the 2 humans stop for a moment from surprise.

"What are you doing?!" Francisco yelled.

"Dancing, can't you see?!" Geno asked and chuckled. Literally, he was stealing the show. He stared at all monsters turning his back on the humans, seeing the impressed expressions of the crowd. For a moment the excitement and glory he was receiving made him forget to be careful.

At the very last moment he saw the shadow covering him. He turned and luckily stepped back fast as João tried to step on his foot. His smile dropped and focused more. The 2 humans were approaching him with dancing moves. They were even more serious, their moves even better and faster.

But they were aggressive and they were trying to take him out.

"... if they see you're still dancing and the battle takes too long, they will try to cheat and make you do mistakes..." He recalled Tefra's words.

"Too long? It's barely a minute!" He thought, but made sure anyways he was keeping distances. (at 1:20) An idea popped in his mind.

Both to do something cool and spare some time from the humans chasing him. After he avoided them again he approached a near table and suddenly jumped on it. (at 1:24) As the guitar stopped playing and only the rhythmic drums were heard, he started hitting his feet, twirling with hands on his hips.

He kept watching as the humans were slowly approaching him. He smiled, pretended he wasn't acknowledging their existence and kept having the time of his life as (at 1:38) the guitar started playing again.

"No matter what happens, don't let them corner you..." (at 1:45) When the humans were really close to the table he was standing he took an impressive leap and stood on another table. (at 1:49) As the guitar got a little more intensive Geno kept hitting his feet down.

He sticked out his tongue to the humans, irritating them more. The 2 men approached him again, clearly wanting to overthrow him. (at 2:02) The moment exactly they moved their feet to make the table fall, Geno jumped above their heads, did 2 flips and successfully landed behind them.

"¡Olé!" He yelled again receiving more applause, wows and whistles. (at 2:04) The moment the guitar got even more intensive, so the applauses from the monsters did as Geno kept dancing. (at 2:19) When the music got quieter and the beats started playing every 2 guitar chords, Geno started alternately clapping his hands and stomping his left foot on the floor.

At the same time he was going close to the tables of the monsters and signing then to bob their heads to the rhythm. (at 2:47) The music started having again more melody in it and Geno started doing other moves. The humans were literally dance-hunting him from behind to make him stumble.

But Geno was avoiding them gracefully, mocking them more. And the more angry he was making them the more their moves were becoming faster but less smooth. (at 3:00) The music went faster and Geno started feeling the fatigue slowly clenching his chest. But he didn't care.

"Halfway to the end. I got this."

(at 3:28) The guitar became even more intensive. This time the humans weren't hunting him together, but they had splitted, leaving to Geno less chances to maneuver and escape them. (at 3:50) And suddenly, there.

Francisco finally managed bump on him. The smaller skeleton temporarily panicked as he was about to fall, hearing the gasps of surprise and worry from the other monsters. But he managed to put his hands on the floor and did cartwheel. He managed to land on his feet and he stared at the 2 humans finally a little concerned.

(at 3:56) When the guitar started playing sharper chords, he was dancing and stepping back, trying to keep his eyesocket on both humans, sometimes looking back to not bump anywhere. But was the worry and he suddenly started feeling even more tired? Uh oh,

"This is bullsh*t!" He thought, not realising on time to stay away from the borders and he felt bumping on a wall. F*ck. He tried to dance himself away, but before he could even take a step, the 2 humans stood in such way, he knew, any attempt to get away might lead to get tripped up or bumped.

Despite that sudden turn of luck, Geno didn't want to give up. Even when the humans started closing the gap and threateningly approaching him with triumphant smirks on their faces. When they were only 3 steps away he decided that he should make an attempt be aggressive. That way perhaps he would save himself until the end.

"But am I really gonna intimate them? I'm so much smaller to show power." He thought. Still he was gonna try. Geno closed eyesocket ready to do his attempt. When the guitar would pause. Indeed (at 4:07) when the guitar stopped playing momentarily, he was ready to try attack.

But the guitar never started playing immediately. The first things Geno heard was the humans whispering f*ck, the monsters almost like choir gasping and whispering intensively. When he opened eyesocket, he was shocked to see...

"Tefra?" He asked. She didn't turn to look at him just placed hands on her hips and looked up to the humans.

"I know I said I won't fight, but you know what? If you're going to keep cheating and make a child loose purposely, if this is how it goes, I'd rather not just sit and watch. It's a shame let a girl fight 2 frauds that doesn't even deserve the title of the best dancers." She said strictly.

"Now I like that turn of events!" Danarei said excited and (at 5:08) she started playing again.

"Oh yeah?! So you think you're better old lady?!" Francisco asked annoyed, referring to Tefra's previous words. Tefra guffawed supposedly offended, placing hand on her chest.

"Old lady?! Me! Hah! Ł ə t' s s ə ə h ø w y ø u t r y t ø d ø s ø m ə t h ī n g f u n n y t ø m ə ī n t h ə f ə w s ə c ø n d s t ī m ə ł ə f t f ø r t h ə s ø n g t ø ə n d." She said. And oh there! The humans started sweating BIG bullets. The small female turned to look at Geno and smiled. "Eugenia, you did truly amazing. Now stay back and watch how we make the opponent fall down in just a few seconds."

(at 4:30) The music started playing again intensive and Tefra started dancing with fast moves towards the humans. They tried to dance their ground but found themselves backing off to Tefra's powerful moves. Geno watched surprised as the small female, without even going close to the humans or even contact them, was making them do mistakes, she made João stumble!

"What is this technique? How is she making them back off like that in only seconds? She's small and yet she makes them do mistakes. So cool!" The small skeleton thought truly impressed. Near the end of the song (at 4:43), the men actually tried to fight back Tefra. They moved so she was between them and then tried both to make her stumble.

But Tefra at the very last moment sharply backed off, twirled and tripped up Francisco, who fell forward. On João. Who had approached really close and instead of finding Tefra he found Francisco. They fell on the floor and as the guitar hitted hard the chords for one last time, Tefra raised hands in the air in a graceful way and stayed there. (i have no damn clue how to describe the posture she took so the picture will speak instead:)

"Olé..." Geno did quietly and bemused as the monsters bursted for one more time in loud applause. Tefra heard Geno saying olé, turned and looked at him. She approached and gave her hand. The smaller slowly held it and let the goat guide him in the middle of the 'arena'.

They both looked around, Tefra just smiling chilly and Geno confused. He looked around and spotted Alter being from the few not clapping or making noise, just staring to his and Tefra's direction with his hand resting on his chin and smiling. When he looked again at Tefra she was staring at him.

"Come on child, let's say olé together." She just said. Geno chuckled a little, but turning to look to the crowd he raised hands with Tefra and between the loud applause, they both said out loud, "OLÉÉÉ!" And in fact 2 more times.

"There we go ladies and gentlemen! We have the winner, but in an unexpected turn of events, the winners!" Danarei said, making the monsters go even more crazy than before applauding.

"YOU!" Francisco yelled slowly standing up with his friend. Geno and Tefra turned to look at them.

"Well gentlemen, was the floor tasty?" The smol skeleton mocked. "Now about that bet-"

"You... You cheated!" João said with his face red from anger pointing at Geno. Every monster immediately started protesting.

"Get lost you lying f*cks!"

"You dare say that about a little girl?!"

"Shameless!"

"You're the cheaters!"

"You said you'll fight us alone!" Francisco said pointing at Geno too. "But then you stepped aside for the Infernal to help you!" He looked at Tefra, his eyes filled with hatred. The small goat crossed her arms.

"So what if I did? If you consider this cheating then it's nothing compared to what you tried to do to Eugenia. In a dance battle you're not allowed to hit the other, unless we're talking about capoeira. But that was flamenco. So don't talk about us cheating unless you admit you cheated too." She said with her eyes emitting sparks. "Hmph. Humans. No wonder Bernard chose to go with monsters' side, even if his position was getting harder."

"Bernard was a fool to think us humans and you filths can get along." Francisco said sarcastically.

"You are the fools to translate kindness and purity as foolishness. But you don't even have from these anymore." Tefra said with raised chin. "Because unlike you, us monsters prefer to keep it most of times nice and easy, as the one who finished the dance battle and because both sides cheated, I want you to do nothing from what Eugenia said."

"But Tefra!" Geno went to protest.

"Silence child." The small goat stopped him sharply. She looked again at the humans. "Take foot out of the restaurant. I don't want to see your cheating faces anymore. And never again challenge the monsters. If you come back, I will not have the same mercy as tonight. Đ ø n' t ə v ə n t r y f ø r g ə t t ī n g t h ī s." She threatened calmly.

Silence fell in the restaurant for many seconds. Finally the humans turned to slowly leave. Tefra didn't stop staring at them. When they were close to the opening, only then she turned. Geno looked at her surprised but also... sad.

"Fine. We'll leave." Francisco murmured under his breath. Tefra didn't turn to that, perhaps she hadn't hear. Big mistake to not look at them. "But not without a gift!" Suddenly the brunet grabbed a glass from a near table and turned, throwing it towards Tefra. Geno's iris disappeared.

"TEFRA WATCH OUT!" He yelled at first to his real voice and the last 2 in girly pitch. Tefra turned only halfway to look behind surprised. She saw the glass flying towards her and her eyes widened up. Geno closed eyesocket.

TING!

Everyone gasped shocked, some monsters standing up and talking all together. Geno opened eyesocket, only for it to widen up. The glass was inches away from Tefra's face... surrounded by blue aura.

"Who's using telekinesis?!" He thought. Another thought hitted him. "But no way..." Geno instinctively turned slowly and looked to a certain table's direction. Pyros and Atalanta were staring at Alter. The tall skeleton had stood up from his seat. His left arm stretched towards where Geno was. Blue aura around his fingers.

Blood running from his mouth.

"Guido..." The small skeleton whispered, his iris contracted.

The glass suddenly fell down shattering in pieces. Together Alter also, on his knees, holding his chest with one hand and covering his mouth with the other while coughing. A few screams of terror were heard as more blood ran down Alter's chin and on the floor. The magic blocker was flickering like crazy.

"Guido!" Pyros kneeled near Alter. "Stay calm, stay calm! I'll take off your blocker and heal yo-!" But Alter suddenly got up pushing him away and walked towards the opening with clenched fists and teeth, wiping the blood from his mouth. Both Tefra and Geno were staring at him shocked, the little skeleton plus terrified. Despite how he seemed, the humans didn't seem to understand in what grave danger they might were now.

"Hah! How did you like the magic blocker idiot?" João asked laughing with his friend. Without saying anything Alter kept approaching and in front of everyone's shocked eyes he grabbed the 2 men from their collars and slammed them on the wall. The humans' expressions from arrogant and mocking turned terrified immediately.

"Wait wait! You can't *cough* kill us!" Francisco tried to speak. Instead of answering, Alter slammed the 2 men's heads loudly on the wall.

"§ H Æ M Ə Ł Ə § § m ə n! H œ ₩ đ æ r ə ¥ œ u t r ¥ t œ h æ r m H Ə R?" He asked, sounding like the howling wind in a wild storm.

"Put us down, or-!" João tried to say, only for Alter to slam the back of his head and Francisco's on the wall again.

"M æ k ə m ə."

"Guido, put them down!" Pyros said both in a commanding and worried tone while walking towards Alter. As for Geno and Tefra, they were staring to each other shocked this whole time. But the small female also seemed confused. Everytime she was looking at the small skeleton it was as if she was asking, why?

"That is not him when he gets angry. Please stop Alter, you'll get us in trouble!" Geno thought clenching his teeth from worry.

"We'll call the authorities on you!" João tried to threat Alter again.

"§ ə ə ī £ | € æ r ə. B u t ə n ø u g h, | € æ n' t j u § t § ī t § ə ə ī n g § u € h u n £ æ ī r n ə ə § æ n đ đ ī § r ə § p ə € t ī n t h ə £ æ € ə § œ £ t h ə m ø n § t ə r § h ə r ə!"

"Guido!" Tefra suddenly said, who had approached him and tucked him from his vest. As if he was brought back to reality, Alter flinched and looked down at her. Immediately he seemed calmer. But he still didn't let go of the humans. "Let them go man. Since they didn't make it to harm me, there's no need to take it further. They're not worth your time."

"She's right, we're not worth-!" The humans tried to say.

"Đ ī đ æ n y ø n ə g ī v ə y ø u p ə r m ī s s ī ø n t ø s p ə æ k?" Alter and Tefra asked the exact same time as they turned to look at them, who gulped.

"Are you sure you're alright Signorina?" The tall skeleton asked, softening even more.

"Yes. But you're not. Let them leave already so we can heal you." Tefra said crossing her arms with a strict expression. Alter sighed and slowly putted down the humans.

"Very well. I'll let them go." He said about to turn his back.

"Why thank you." Francisco said sarcastically, murmuring also some insult.

"Aw, since you so nicely said thanks, why let you go without a gift?" He said and in front of everyone's shocked once again eyes he striked 2 strong uppercuts, fast like snake attack, hitting successfully the humans' chins. They fell backwards.

"Guido!" Geno yelped. Alter looked down to the humans grinning wider.

"Honestly, I'm a nice guy, but not quite when you bring me to my limits. You called my daughter a cheater, you attacked behind Signorina Tefra's back, just how unmanly is that? The 'gift' I gave is from all monsters. Get out of our sight gentlemen and never again bring yourselves to us. And tell your guards and... that Lord Raymond who I see monsters love very much..." He said obviously sarcastically. "... that we do not fear threats and we aren't toys to be played around, nor like it." He completed.

"Screw you, you-!" Francisco was about to say. But then Geno saw his and João's expressions turning terrified and pale as they were looking up to Alter. Whatever Alter did, he felt lucky he didn't see it. The humans crawled back, not knowing what was hurting more, the back of their heads or their chins, managed to stand up and literally sprinted out of the restaurant. "YOU WILL REGRET THIS SKELETON! YOU AND YOUR DAUGHTER FOR WHAT YOU DID!"

"Ciao!" Alter just said taking from his pocket a handkerchief and waved it for a few seconds towards where the humans were before cramming it back to his pocket and turn to the monsters rubbing his fists. All monsters bursted again in loud applause.

"Now that was from Italy with love!" The fairy friend of Danarei's commented making some monsters laugh. Geno followed Tefra who, together with Pyros were dragging Alter back to their table. They made him sit down.

"Guido what were you thinking?!" Atalanta yelled surprised.

"You can be in serious trouble for this!" Pyros interfered.

"You thought punch them without calling me?! Man!"

"Atalanta!" Pyros turned at her.

"But babe!"

"Do you know you're really crazy?" Tefra asked as she was unlocking Alter's magic blocker. "If they come to arrest you for hitting the humans, it will be very difficult defend yourself even with the 'title' of Bernard's close friend. Or us defend you. Why did you do that? Harm yourself so spontaneously and then these men?" She asked staring at Alter in wonder, her hands filled with healing magic.

Alter turned his head slowly at her, smiling gently. He didn't answer for many seconds. Finally he looked again ahead. He seemed ready to say something but closed again his mouth shaking head left and right.

"... I said it before. I couldn't stand seeing the unfairness and disrespect they had. And Bernard... wouldn't like it seeing you hurt." He eventually said. He definitely wanted to say something else, but what? Tefra stared at him silent for many seconds, as if she had understood that. But she just looked down and focused on healing Alter together with Pyros.

"Now why he did he mention Bernard like that? And what did he really wanna say?" Geno thought.

"... I know the behavior I showed before was completely surprising and unacceptable. When I see injustice, I become so angry and... I loose it. I really just wanted to defend your position Signorina. I apologise." Alter said then looking down. Tefra rolled her eyes.

"You shouldn't. But also the apology is almost unnecessary, didn't you see how everybody applauded for what you did? They all want badly throw punches like you to the humans."

"Still that wasn't right! You might be Bernard's friend but you're untouched as long as you follow some rules!" Pyros said.

"Why, do even humans follow their own rules?" Geno murmured.

"Eugenia, right?" He heard a different voice really close to him a few seconds later. Geno flinched and looked to his left. Another human was standing near him, wearing a hat. If the urge to hiss almost got him, he held it back, for he had recognized the man. It was that Jim guy from the restaurant Tefra burned down, the same human sharing soup to the poorest monsters.

"Uuuh, yeah." Geno replied. "God, he's TALL, like-!" It was the first thing he realised about Jim. But he tried to calm down, even if he was wondering. What was he doing here? How was he accepted in? Geno was about to look around to see if the monsters were reacting to his presence.

"Mister Grillby allowed me to enter. Don't worry, monsters know me." He said smiling gently. That calmed down Geno, especially when Tefra nodded that everything was fine. Though she just seemed to ignore the man.

"What is it?" The small skeleton asked. There Jim took off his hat and held it on his chest.

"I watched your dance battle from it's beginning. It was amazing. You were amazing back there. Do you... perhaps give autographs?" He asked, catching off guard the small skeleton.

"U-Uuuh... what? No, sorry, no, not really sir." He stuttered.

"My my Eugenia, you've got an admirer!" Alter commented and the smol skeleton looked down flustered. But suddenly the taller got serious and crossed his arms. "Now that I remembered! Bambina! Signorina Tefra here asked me how come a little Sirracussian like you knows to dance so well flamenco! And do you know what I told her?! I have no clue! Is this why you were disappearing for hours when I was calling you to learn tarantella, huh?! Learning somewhere else flamenco?!"

Geno got the message that he had to make up a little story again. He looked down supposedly embarrassed and shy with hands behind his back.

"Guido, pwease, don't be mad at me. The... the truth is, yeah. There was a guy near the district we live and I had watch him many times practicing flamenco. He said it himself he comes from Spain! I learned from him. A-And I'm sorry for saying this, but I find flamenco more interesting than tarantella! Please don't ground me."

"Normally I should, for, you trusted a stranger and you weren't even telling me where you were! But... no. Instead I should be proud you showed such interest learn this dance and I saw it in the battle you had. Congratulations Eugenia. I should have said that earlier."

"You must be lucky she's your daughter Sir." Jim said smiling kindly.

"Oh yeah. I'm glad God brought her to my path." Alter admitted. Geno giggled and smiled wide, to the point his mouth hurted. But suddenly... he felt dizzy. He could hear the monsters voices distant, the lights blur in his vision. At first he ignored it, he thought it was because of his mortal nature illnesses side effects.

It wasn't something new, often he had felt dizzy, his vision and hearing had played tricks on him. Casual. And so he stayed silent and motionless, hearing Jim asking Alter if he was alright now. Not really hearing though. Somewhere else his mind was.

Because he knew damn well, the side effects of his illnesses weren't including the sensation of someone staring at you behind your back intensively.

He slowly turned to look behind him. At first he saw nothing suspicious. But then, when his vision cleared, there. It was that mysterious person of yesterday, the one that was staring at him while Geno was waiting for his fries to come.

So far away he was sitting, Geno wasn't sure if the person smiled at him. But he saw him waving his hand gently. Even like that, he felt even more worried.

"Eugenia? Is everything alright?" Alter's voice prevented him from panicking. He looked at him, realising the goat siblings, Atalanta and Jim were staring at him concerned. He tried to smile and rubbed the back of his head.

"Uuuh, I'm sorry. I doze off, ha ha..." He said slowly. He paused for a few seconds. "Well, excuse me. I'll go to the bathroom." He continued and walked away, not even sure where exactly he would find the bathroom. But he went first to Grillby and asked him. After he gave instructions and thanked him he kept walking.

He walked through a small corridor and after avoiding at the very last moment men's bathroom -since he was still pretending he's a girl, imagine if someone was seeing a 'girl' inside men's bathroom!- he entered women's. Once he entered, he closed the door behind him and pressed his back against it.

He slowly slided down pressing hands on his chest and breathing heavily. He closed eyesocket and tried to calm down.

"What the f*ck? Why? What's going on? Who's this person watching me?! Why? Why? Why?" Why was he feeling so stressed about it? Geno stood up only to stop in front of one of the sinks. He looked in the mirror taking his patch off slowly. He touched the edge of his melted eyesocket, freezing to his reflection for a moment.

Then as if he was lunatic, he opened the faucet quickly and splashed water on his face, 2 times. Then he closed the faucet and pressing his hands on the sink he looked down still stressed and breathing heavily. For how long he stayed there wasn't sure. He finally wiped his face and wore his patch again taking a deep breath.

"Relax." He murmured. "... nothing is wrong, nothing will go wrong, just act normal and-"

"Oi punk!"

Geno flinched and raised head. He looked in the mirror. His eyesocket caught a second monster standing a few steps behind him, immediately recognizable. He slowly turned to look.

"Atalanta." He thought gulping silently. But either way he tried to smile.
