Might as well actually come back, eh?

And might as well start this with a long, hopefully inspirational speech

Listen, guys, girls

Unless you've taken residence under a rock, or at the bottom of a pond (which isn't a terrible idea) you know its getting pretty bad out here

But, well, we're humanity

We're not the smartest, not the most foreward thinking

But we've always, always, /always/ had a funny way of pulling through

And not just for us, but for other species. Sure, we fuck up, that''s a given. But we try to fix it, little by little. And yeah, sometimes it doesn't work.

Sometimes we fuck up so bad there's no fixing it.

But we still have a chance. All the global warming arguments?

Two words

self preservation

If we do manage to wipe ourselves out, the world will go on. It might take millions of years, but eventually, there will be another humanity, another race to take our throne, and it will have the chance to learn from our mistakes.

The world will go on

And we have to make a choice

Are we worth saving? Is this fucked up race really deserving of the Earth?

Sometimes, I think not

Sometimes i think, 'Well, that's it, we're spiralling into oblivion'

And sometimes, well, sometimes I look around me

Not at the overly loud assholes

Not at the people who don't deserve the world

At the people that do.

Some are my friends, some not

But there's something there

A quiet determination

A spark

Something that tells me that it is not yet done

Our final chapter is not yet written

We have a chance, and

Looking around

I think we can take it

We are still young, but, well, look at yourselves

Look at what you've done

We don't believe in ourselves

We believe in each other (more or less)

We are not the generation to fight this battle alone, but together

I think we have what we need

We have each other

We have strength yet untested

We have the minds, the hearts, and the spirits

We are not yet ready

But our time is coming

Our time will come

And I wish all of you, each and every one luck when it comes

-Citten, on an odd day
