14 Years Later...

"I'm proud to welcome our newest police officer Gidget Adams!" Mayor Snowball called out in a loud and clear voice. While the fluffy white Pomeranian walked up onto the stage to get her badge, the audience broke out into applause. No one was clapping harder or cheering louder than Gidget's boyfriend Max. The Pomeranian blushed when she heard the Jack Russell terrier calling her name.

She had done it. Months of hard work and strict training had led Gidget to this moment, She was going to officially become a cop. Just like she had said when she was six years old. Her dreams had been accomplished. Now here she was. This day couldn't get any better than it was right now.

"Well done young lady," Assistant Mayor Pops praised Gidget as she got up on the stage. He gently placed her badge on her uniform. Beaming with joy, the Pomeranian looked up at the elderly basset hound as she replied, "Thank you."

"No problem-" Pops started to say. However, he was cut off when Snowball hopped down from the podium. Motioning to a camera out in the crowd, he remarked, "Say cheese!" He placed one paw on Gidget's shoulder as they both smiled at the camera. Holding up a microphone once the picture had been taken, the white rabbit declared, "It's a privilege to announce that I would like our newest officer to serve at the very heart of Manhattan!" Gidget's mind exploded when she heard that. She was gonna be serving in the main city?!

She couldn't wait.
