"Kids, make sure you behave!" Myron called. The pups and kitten who attended his school's annual sleepover night didn't pay much attention to him as they dumped glitter on one of the snakes. The reptile merely sneezed in reply. Sighing, the hamster looked back at Gidget and Tiberius. The trio were sitting at a small table, getting ready to talk. Myron gazed up at Gidget, waiting for her to go first.

"Did Hu come here when he was younger?" Gidget asked, watching the kids. Following her gaze, Myron nodded his head as he explained, "He still comes here. Not as a student though. He's more like a teacher's assistant on Fridays. On the day that he went missing, he wanted to discuss something with me so I had my driver go pick him up."

"Do you have any idea what he wanted to discuss?"

"Not a clue but it sounded big. I could hear the terror in his voice."

"Ripper and Rooster mentioned that he looked a bit uneasy during swimming lessons," Tiberius recalled, grabbing another cupcake. Remembering that, Gidget murmured, "So you had your driver go pick him up. I'm going to guess that the van never arrived. It looked like it got in an accident and something attacked Hu and the driver."

"You're both correct and wrong officer. Something attacked and that something... was Hu," Myron responded. Shocked, Gidget and Tiberius listened as the hamster continued, "My driver was scared to death. Hu attacked without explanation. He tore up the van and caused it to crash before he ran off into the night."

"But... Hu sounds like such a sweet tiger. Why would he do that?"

"Look around you officer. We are all animals. We might've evolved since the disappearance of humans but that doesn't mean we've all changed. As you know, dogs were the first to be domesticated by mankind when they were around. You guys evolved much faster than any other animal. The rest of us slowly followed. But we still weren't full domesticated by the time humans vanished. Dogs seem to use that to discriminate themselves from all other animals. One could say that they thought we were going to become wild at any second."

"Do you have anymore information?" Gidget asked. Shaking his head, Myron answered, "That's all I can tell you. However, you might have some luck if you go to my driver. He escaped the crash, though not unscathed..."
