When the Monsters and the Humans were in war, they chose sides.

Monsters chose the North. 

Humans chose the South.

Luckily for the Monsters, they had better resources. They manufactured and grew food crops, while the Humans grew only cash-crops and didn't have factories.

The Humans grew jealous.

The Humans were coming up with a plan to get rid of the Monsters for good.

One human child herd the plans.

That human is Frisk.

Frisk is now targeted by the Humans as a threat and for being a possible spy.

(He/She) found (his/her) way toward the North and was taken under the wing of a Monster nurse by the name of Toriel.
