"Are you a goldsmith?" Jahnavi asked as she scanned Karn from head to toe. Karn was a little confused by such a remark.
"Your attire. They are expensive. I don't like them" Jahnavi replied
"No I am a charioteer" Karn replied.  He was not lying entirely as this was somewhat true. He was a charioteer once upon a time .
"So you have lived here all your life?" Karn asked trying to get every detail he can grab about this mysterious girl.
"Yes" she replied not giving in too much .
"I am from Hastinapur though" Karn replied.
"Hastinapur? Yes...I have heard stories of your city from mata. How the people there has ousted their queen and how the king himself didn't stand up for his wife. A coward! How can you respect such a king?!" Jahnavi cried with frustration and anger.
Karn couldn't reply. What was he supposed to say. All of the things that she had said was his past and she was very much a part of it if she really was his Meghna.
"I know." Karn said looking faw away
"However I really wish that the previous king defeats the present one. The present king is an evil man. The previous king atleast looked after his subjects" she said .
"And where did you learn so much about Hastinapur?" Karn questioned.
"Actually when I heard the name Hastinapur...I felt a stange connection towards that place. I wanted to go there. I don't know why." Jahnavi paused and looked at Karn strangely.
"Why on earth am I saying so much stuff to you? Who are you?" She asked a little disturbed that she had spoken too much
" Radheye...I am Radheye" he replied looking extremely sad as never in his entire life had he imagined that his wife would forget his name.
"We have reached your destination" Jahnavi said .
"Will you leave right now? Actually I had to return. I will return within minutes" Karn said .
Jahnavi looked around. There was honestly no boats nearby so she agrees to stay. Karn bought some sweets for his family and his cute little niece. And about the medicines...Draupadi didn't need them .
"You returned pretty early" jahnavi said . She looked satisfied. She didn't have to wait for long .
"So today is your engagement? Your mum was telling us..." Karn said looking at her intensely.
"Even I got to know about my engagement yesterday. But my maa always wants my welfare so that's definitely a good decision you know" Jahnavi said in an understanding manner.
"What about your wish? Don't you love him?" Karn asked.
"Love? What is love? I have no idea what you are talking about" jahnavi said looking clueless. Karn thought she must be bluffing. How could she not know the meaning of love?!
"What is love?" She asked again and Karn noticed the genuineness in her voice.
"Love- the most amazing emotion we can ever feel. It's like the breath of fresh air that keeps is alive...that keeps our life boat sailing. Like when you see your parents together...isn't it like they are meant to be? Like they love each other...they love every little thing about each other...they fight but at the end they always support one another" Karn explained.
Jahnavi seemed to really think about what he had said. He seemed right...she didn't even know who she was getting married to.
"We have reached the shore babu" Jahnavi said looking a little low.
"You can call me Radheye" Karn said as he smiled. As he got down from the boat he was shocked to see the person he feared to see the most.
"So even after repeated warnings you won't give up? Why are you here?" It was Draupadi
"So you have started following me now!?" Karn asked.
"Please bhrata. I was concerned. Your brothers are busy fooling around and enjoying the royal life while you're trying to court an engaged girl!" Draupadi said
"She is not yet engaged krishnaa!" Karn said.
"Bhrata!!! She is not Meghna!" Draupadi replied for the last time.
"What if she is?" Karn argued back .
"Meghna is dead bhrata!" Draupadi cried.
"People do die Krishnaa. But they are born again and they die again and thus they are born again. You were born too yagyaseni." It was a very familiar voice.
"Govind!" Krishna and Draupadi shouted together.
"Actually I am here to meet my sakhi " Krishna said and approached Jahnavi.
"Kanha?! It's you! I thought you won't be coming until next week."Jahnavi smiled as she saw her friend after such a long time.
"Krishna?! You know Jahnavi?" Karn asked genuinely surprised.
"Since ages bhrata. And Jahnavi this is my..." Before Krishna could complete his statement Karn outspoke him
"I am his friend Radheye " Karn said and Krishna smirked while Draupadi was absolutely tired of controlling his brother in law.
Jahnavi smiled as she looked at Karn. They had a mutual friend.
Karn looked at Krishna searching for answers and Every move of Krishna was shrieking how this girl was Meghna. Krishna called her sakhi and Karn knew for a matter of fact that Krishna didn't have many sakhis . There were Meghna and Draupadi. He had never mentioned any Jahnavi ever.
"Since how long do you know Jahnavi?" Karn asked.
"Since my birth. I will turn six months old next month" jahnavi said.
Karn and Draupadi looked at her confused.
"Always waiting for a chance to flaunt her magical birth!" Krishna remarked.
" Jahnavi was born six months ago from the holy waters of Ganga. Like yagyaseni Draupadi from Panchal. On 16th of April" Krishna said looking at Karn giving him an ironical smile
Both Karj and Draupadi could feel the ground shifting below their feet. What in earth is happening?! 16th of April the same day they had lost Meghna was the day Jahnavi was born. Draupadi couldn't understand if this was a big confidence or did their friend actually return back in their lives.
