POV: Kiyotaka

Currently, October 10th, the day of the Sports Festival.

Four days ago was Torikachi's birthday. We all have a good time from that moment, and Torikachi even sneezed after our party, showing that he's quite happy when everyone made a surprise party for him. (Umm... you guys wanna have a SS of this?)

Even I decided to join it because he asked me to. I genuinely had a good time there.

Now, the Festival has begun,

How much strength should I go for this event?

*time skip

Sudou is the first one to do the 100-meter dash. There's no need to say that Sudou's victory is set in stone, but the so-called Professor (Sotomura) got last.

For the second group, Koenji was supposed to be there but decided not to. Sudou was angry about it but couldn't do anything. Koenji got disqualified immediately.

Third group, Hirata and I. When both of us got ready in the field, I couldn't help but envy Hirata's popularity from the girls' eyes.

"Let's do this, Ayanokouji-kun." Hirata said.

They cheered him, they screamed hoping Hirata to win.

As the race starts, I give myself a boost for a headstart, then adjust my speed to match the pace with fourth and sixth place.

As a result, Hirata got first place, while I got fifth.

POV: Torikachi

The Festival has begun, and we started off with game 1: 100-meter dash.

I happened to pair with Yukimura right after Kiyotaka's group. Kiyotaka still wanted to be under the radar after all of this, huh...

"Let us do our best then, Yukimura." I encourage him.

"I hope so, Torikachi." He replied. "I'm not really good in terms of sports, I mean."

I then heard some girls in the background cheering me on, even though they are strangers to me, mostly senpais. I guess this is the result of getting 'too' popular in the school.

'This is a little bit troublesome.' I sighed as I waved back at them with a smile.

"KYAHHHHH!!!!!!" Their screamings could be heard by the megaphone to register.

"Don't worry about it, Yukimura," I said as I scan my surroundings. "With these people, I could get 2nd or 3rd place easily. I need to save my energy for next events too."

"And I know you could do it, Yukimura. I'm not blaming you for not having much physical ability." I continued.

"I supposed so." Replied Yukimura with a sigh. "It's quite tough being too popular in the school, huh?"

"It's quite troublesome, I just happened to play the piano out of the ordinary." I know that my sudden popularity came from my piano plays, and rumors kept on pestering me non-stop.

Ryuko even pouted at me for my sudden popularity too. What a wonderful sight back then.

"Well, it's unexpected that you said that you aren't the prodigy, but there are too many rumors about it that made me sometimes believe it was true." Replied Yukimura.

"I could neither confirm nor deny this information, Yukimura," I replied. "Let us prepare for the race, shall we? I'm sure our training will be worth it."

I already know about how Ryuuen set up his class's participation table. That was probably the reason why I held back during our training. The spies annoyed me a lot.

The race starts, and I burst forward on the track, giving myself a headstart.

A few moments later I adjust my speed, tightening the gap between me and the student behind me. However, I managed to get first place, the reason is Ryuuen's participation plan was only sending the weak students for decoys, so he wanted me to act overconfident.

However, I'm unable to do it even if I wanted to.

Yukimura even managed to get a sixth place in the race. I could sense that other students were holding back. That's how Ryuuen's plan works, but as I can see from the previous races, I am sure that both class A and D are holding back, but in random moments. This has to be Ryuuen and Katsuragi's plan. They are cooperating under the surface. I figured out that two students from class B, one from A, one from C, then Yukimura finished the race.

"I... managed... to not... get... last place..." Yukimura said while panting, having trouble breathing after just one event.

"You're doing great, Yukimura." I encourage him. It is better to let him keep his heads up. "It's not your fault to have a poor performance like this."

"I guess you're right." He replied while continuing to look down.

With the 100-meter dash completed, I need to head back to prepare for the hurdle race.

POV: Kiyotaka

Sudou is currently fuming in rage at how Koenji's act during the festival.

Hirata tried to calm Sudou down, but no prevail.

Sudou punchs Koenji, but Koenji manages to grab Sudou's fist with his palm.

"I don't have time for your pestering, Red-hair-kun." Koenji said with a mocking tone. "I'm sure you are aware of my perfectness?"

"So WHAT?" Shouted Sudou, unable to do anything.

"Sudou-kun, stop this already. We need to prepare for the next event."

"Tch..." as Sudou express his irritation, Horikita also tried to convince Koenji to cooperate.

"Koenji-kun, could you try to at least perform some of your strength for the class? We will lose at this rate." Horikita asked.

"A no is a no, Horikita-girl." Koenji replied. "What you see is what you get."

Horikita also give up on Koenji. Out of everyone, Torikachi is the first in our class managed to convince Koenji to participate, back then in the island exam. But for this event, he will not do anything, meaning Koenji will be roaming, not participating in this event.

However, I already have a plan in place.

As the events go by, the first event of the Festival is done.

The overall score of the Red Team is 1993, while White Team is 1913.

Torikachi said the overall score of both teams will be different from the original guess, but he interfered to the point that we become White Team instead of Red Team.

POV: Torikachi

The overall score of both teams is not the same compared to the light novel, considering we are not class D, but class B instead. However, the scores are quite impressive.

This is why I said I will do nothing. I need to at least degrade our class to class C if I wanted to arrange things right at the moment, including our confrontation in Y1V7, so I just need to do nothing and we will be back on track with the plan.

The next event will be the hurdle race, and Horikita will not have a good time, since Kinoshita will pester her in the race, and Yachima is also from the track and field club too.

The hurdle race will be a pain for me since I lost my strength from my previous life, so I might be in either fifth or sixth place.

I happened to run with a familiar presence, Ishizaki.

Even though we did not talk throughout the race, but I could hear him calling my name multiple times.

However, I simply do not care about it and managed to reach second place, while a student from class C reach first place. The last hurdle always gets me in the race.

My part of the race finished, and I continued my preparation.

POV: 3rd Person

In a tent of a single class, a muscle-head student is currently fuming in rage.

Ken: "Oi, what the hell you all?? I couldn't believe that you were all so weak in sports."

Ike: "Ken, you already know that we are weak compared to other classes. We won't stand a chance."

Sotomura: "Umm... hey, Sudou-dono. I'm quite sick, so can I skip the hurdle race this time?"

Ken: "What did you say? Go get your ass in there and run already, even if you crash all the hurdles."

Then, the result of the race is as the student said.

However...

Sotomura: "H...Help... I can't... b... rea... the..."

The sick student is fully exhausted just from two events and perhaps, most of the students of the specific class feel the same.

Someone comes in with a plastic water bottle in his hand, opens the cap, and shoves the bottle into the sick student's mouth.

Torikachi: "Drink slowly, I will keep this loose but do not exhale. You might die."

The sick boy kept his composure and decided to follow the boy's order, while the others tries to lift him up.

After consuming a whole water bottle, the savior speaks.

Torikachi: "You might be sick, so don't overwork yourself. You might die if you do so too soon."

The boy then turns to the person who is currently meant to carry the class.

Torikachi: "You might have killed one student, Sudou, and you might have taken the blame. Expulsion and court could occur if such things happen."

Ken: "HUH? What did you sa-..."

As early as the boy starts to yell, he got slapped by the person who just says so.

POV: Torikachi

"You are the one to talk, Sudou." I said with an irritating expression. "Which do you prefer? Basketball or jail?"

This sure can shut Sudou down, no one has the right mind to prefer to go to jail instead of something else.

"Tch..." Sudou displays an irritating voice.

"You already know what our class is like, and you decide to kill them by making them overdo what they aren't capable of," I said. "Do YOU want to go to jail if such things happen? Because YOU who will take the blame."

"Fine, fine. I have enough with your pestering." Sudou replied. "Let's just go."

"Good to hear that." Sotomura almost died from Sudou's actions, and luckily that I managed to save him. Even though Sotomura might not have died from the original novel, but Sudou's behavior pissed me off.

Yes, I did interfere a bit, but it does not change the outcome after this event.

I said as I leave the tent to go somewhere isolated for "certain business".

POV: Kiyotaka

I happened to run against Kanzaki. He engages in a conversation.

"I'm hoping for this race, Ayanokouji." Said Kanzaki.

"The feeling is mutual, but I'm not that fast," I replied with my hands on the air.

"That's a lie. Ichinose said that you are fast, Ayanokouji." Kanzaki said. "But what concerns me the most is your calmness over a problem. It does concern me for once in a while."

"I see," I said. "Well, let's race, shall we?"

As the group starts the race, I start to use my strategy again, give myself a headstart, and adjust my speed, resulting in third place while Kanzaki took first.

POV: Torikachi

It is time for Horikita's hurdle race. Since I already know the outcome, but I still wanted to watch for future references.

Horikita, Kinoshita, and Yachima all have a great headstart. Horikita is currently taking the lead the further she runs, leaving the other two behind.

However, again, Ryuuen's plan that results in Horikita's third place since the other two are in the track and field club.

Moments later, the hurdle race has ended, and we proceed to Capture the Flag, well, it can also be called Pole Topping (idk why Japanese people said it's Capture the Flag, lmk if you if y'all know something about it)

The event played out perfectly compared to the light novel, and of course, Sudou's enraged by Ryuuen stepping on his back, but Sudou could not do anything about it.

Albert's strength as the attacker and class A's strength as the defender made our team shambles, resulting in the Red Team getting a full win out of it.

And as expected, we won the Ball Tossing event by a landslide. I'm quite surprised to see classes B and C worked out better than I thought.

But it does not matter since I need things to be in place as they should be. I am already intent to lose, at least to class C.

As the events have gone by, throughout all the years, including Tug of War, we won by Ryuuen's intention so our class's group won, but not for class C's group where they fought class A, so it's a tie for both teams.

For the obstacle course, Ike got sixth, Sudou got first, Kiyotaka got third, and surprisingly my group contains the same students as the previous races, so I managed to get first again.

POV: Kiyotaka

It's Horikita's turn in the obstacle course. Surprisingly, Kinoshita and Yachima from class C were also there.

However, Horikita keeps turning to Kinoshita during her race. This is not like Horikita at all, and she results in pathetic seventh place while Yachima got first place.

And the worst of all, Horikita and Kinoshita both have their legs mingled, causing them to fall during the race.

Kinoshita is injured, unable to continue to the Festival, while Horikita sighed in disappointment.

"Why were you keep looking back at Kinoshita, Horikita?" I asked.

"She kept calling out to me during the race." She replied. "So I guess the injury is deliberate."

Good. She's starting to understand her current situation.

"However, I will continue my participation. I can not let loose." Horikita is being persistent. "Even with my injury, I'm sure I could make it throughout the event."

"I guess you do you." I replied while walking away from her field of vision. I noticed Torikachi going somewhere pretty isolated from the crowd by himself, every time after each event, but I will leave it for now.

POV: Torikachi

The next event is a three-legged race. The race started out as usual and the results are the same as the light novel.

Sudou paired with Ike reached first place, Hirata paired with Kiyotaka also reached first place.

It's now my turn and paired with Yukimura.

"Just start slowly." I told him. "We should not care too much about speed. As long as you could reach up to my pace, we should be fine."

"Thank you, Torikachi." he replied.

As the race starts, we get a small headstart, but I slowed my speed when we reached 100 meters on the track to keep pace with Yukimura.

And as a result, we managed to reach first place, while class B's group reached second place. I noticed both class A and D are confident even though they lose most of the events. They don't even lose a single breath.

Yukimura asked me about the situation but I shrugged it off, playing dumb with myself so he can figure it out by himself.

The races continued as it is Horikia and Kushida pair for the race. They had a great headstart but due to Horikita's injury, they got last place.

The event ends with a small break for the next event, and Sudou is still raging about the class's poor performance as usual.

*time skip to Calvary battle

It is now the Calvary Battle for the first year. Things happen as usual, but I, as the horseman, intentionally crashed one of class A's riders, resulting in them being disqualified. I do not care much about the reward itself, but to reduce the manpower instead.

Soon enough, my group got disqualified because Miyamoto was exhausted from carrying Yukimura too long.

For the rest, all of them got disqualified due to Ryuuen's tactics, our team lost a huge margin.

Everything is already according to plan.

POV: Kiyotaka

"Have you redeemed your mistakes in the past, red monkey?" Ryuuen taunting Sudou. "It was your fault that our classmates got injured and it was a shame that we lost again."

"So you wanna fight me instead of those weaklings? Only us who will fight each other." He continued. "I will bow to you if you managed to win me head-on."

"HUH? What did you say? I could fight you head-on!!!" Sudou complied with Ryuuen's taunts, immediately rush to Ryuuen's unit.

"Sudou-kun! Calm down and let just finish this." Hirata said, regaining some senses for Sudou but it is futile. "Fine... you do you but finish this quick."

There is only Hirata's unit and Shibata's unit on our team, while Katsuragi's unit and Ryuuen's unit are on the opposite.

However, Shibata's unit got disqualified and Katsuragi's class lost two of their units. We managed to obtain Katsuragi's unit's bandana.

Now there's only my group and another unit of our class, while Ryuuen's unit still remains.

Again, we lost into Ryuuen's hands, Hirata told Sudou that his hands got slipped while trying to grab Ryuuen's bandana.

Sudou still could not believe Hirata's words and kept on blaming him.

We head back to our class's tent for a break.

"You did great, Kiyotaka!" Karuizawa engages in a conversation with me.

"Yeah, I've done great. But why are you calling me by my first name?" I asked her with doubts.

"I also called Yousuke on a first-name basis, so why shouldn't I do the same with you?" she replied.

However, I could not help but be skeptical about why she dropped the honorifics on me while the case is not the same as Hirata, but I decided to shrug it off for now. I guess I'm being pitied that no one ever used my first name ever before, well, except Torikachi.

As we head back to the tent, Torikachi greets us.

"Where did you go, Kiyotaka?" He asks me with a grin. "You did something to Karuizawa, didn't you?"

"Stop joking around." I quickly replied I already knew his intentions from this conversation. "You already know about those things, weren't you?"

"I don't know anything..." he replied with a whistle. "I just happened to see both of you return to the tent at the same time."

"Let's 'calm' Sudou down, shall we?" he continued asking.

Speaking of Sudou, he went berserk, acting like a tyrant in the class, blaming everyone for being too weak in terms of physical ability inside the tent.

Hirata did try to talk some senses with Sudou but to no avail.

"Didn't you say that you will carry us to win this event?" Yukimura asked. "And you blame everyone just because you could not carry all of us."

"Tch..." Sudou makes an irritating expression, while could not keep controlling his emotions, swings his fist against Yukimura, but Hirata took the hit instead, causing him to fall to the ground.

"What happened here?" Chabashira-sensei asked while entering the class tent.

"Nothing happened at all, Sensei." Hirata replied while holding his face. "Sudou has his hand slipped."

"I will file a report of this event, just in case if things escalate," said Chabashira-sensei as she walks away from the tent.

Sudou got furious and leaves the tent and nowhere to be seen.

I and Karuizawa are walking to somewhere private for a conversation.

"This is bad," Karuizawa said. "Sudou just left, now what are we supposed to do?"

"This is not my problem," I said. "This is all part of Ryuuen's plan, Karuizawa. He already uses his lackeys to ruin Sudou's temper and they were also targeted Horikita."

"So is there something we could do about it?" she asked. "I'm sure you could pull something off, Kiyotaka?"

"This is not my problem. Everything was settled at the start. Our participation table got leaked and there's nothing we could do about it anymore." I told her. "Class D targeted Horikita from the start until now, you notice?"

"I do notice that. Even Manabe and her gang decided not to target me during our Calvary Battle." Karuizawa answers with relief.

"What do you think about Horikita?" I asked for her opinion.

"I used to hate her because of the attitude, but I could sympathize with her," she replied, understanding what it feels like to get targeted by a bully.

"I already have something planned for this event." I told her the statement.

"What? So you have a way to win this event?" she asked. I think she misunderstood the concept that I have plans for this event.

"No, but I have the plans to avoid somethings worse than that." I answered her.

"Let's head back." I continued.

*time skip

POV: Torikachi

It is time for the 200-meter dash, and Sudou is nowhere to be found. I know that he went to the dormitories, but I will let him be and let the miracle happen.

"Oi! Where is that air-headed monkey?" Ryuuen approached our class's tent and look towards Hirata.

"Sudou-kun went for a break." Hirata replied while keeping his composure. "You have been lucky so far, Ryuuen-kun. And I know that you have our class's participation table."

"What do you mean about that?" Ryuuen kept on playing dumb. "I neither have any information about your peasants."

As Ryuuen leaves the tent, without a care in the world, attends the 200-meter dash and won the race perfectly.

I already know about this, so I will leave things as they should be.

POV: Kiyotaka

"You should get Sudou back to the event, Horikita." I said.

"Why does it have to be me?" she replied, kept being persistent about being by herself.

"Then how long are you going to be useless, Horikita?"

"W-What? I'm not useless."

(And yes, Kiyotaka roasting Horikita scene is too long for me to write.)

*time skip

"You currently have two options, either salvage this event or bring Sudou back. That will be up to you to decide. I'm done speaking with you." I told her while leaving the scene. I'm sure she's not dumb enough to salvage this event on her own.

It is currently lunchtime and I have not see Horikita anywhere. I hope she's doing what she should do.

"So, who is the traitor in our class?" Karuizawa asked me in private.

"I thought you already knew from the footage Torikachi sent us?" I asked her again.

"But it is hard to believe that Kushida is the traitor, but we could not do anything against her for now."

*time skip to scavenger hunt (yes I wanted to skip unimportant scenes since most of them were nothing but fillers, I write too much now so I'm sorry)

POV: Torikachi (pls I need actual character developments first)

It is time for the scavenger hunt. I'm not the one who will participate, but I noticed Ryuko is also attending the race as the second group.

'I have a bad feeling about this.' I thought as I pretended to go somewhere else, but I can see that Ryuko is pouting when looking in my direction. I do not know about her luck, but I'm sure that it will not be great for me.

As the scavenger hunt started, Ryuko take the lottery, blushed when she sees it, and reach out to me.

"Let me guess..." I asked her midway, I already what is her condition to continue.

"No... please just follow me..." she replied with a red face, unable to continue facing me.

"Hey... are you okay? I don't think you shou-..." I played dumb.

"I-I'm fine. SO please follow me." she said.

I could sense jealousy from both girls and boys of all grades glancing towards me and Ryuko.

However, we managed to get first place while Kiyotaka placed last. Talk about his luck...

"What did she ask you about joining her?" Kiyotaka asked me.

"Well, I could already guess it, but I wanted to play dumb for now." I replied. "I'm not ready for that type of relationship yet."

"I see..." he replied while sighing in disappointment.

"Bad luck?" I asked. "Don't worry, I knew what you got in the race back there. I'm sure you are aware of it."

"Again, you always surprise me with your 'predictions'." He replied. "I guess it's time for the relay race now. I will be the anchor."

"I know." I said. "I guess I could talk to Manabu-senpai for a bit when I reach your place."

*time skip to 1200m relays.

Sudou is back in action through Horikita's convincing, good.

Now it is time for me to get ready for my position.

The race starts with Sudou burst out a huge lead compared to other classes.

Then Hirata is the next runner, again, he's a fast runner so we are still in the first place.

Then, it was Onodera's turn. Even though she's fast, but compared to others, she got lost in the lead.

Next up, Maezono. Our class is already lost the lead compared to other groups, class 2-A is taking the lead.

"Here you go, Torikachi," Maezono told me as she/he passed me the baton (pls forgive me idk Maezono is a boy or girl.)

"Thank you for giving your all, Maezono," I replied while starting to run. With these gaps, I could lead to third place before I pass the baton to Kiyotaka.

POV: Kiyotaka

"President, do you want to race?" I ask him so his curiosity goes up. "Do you want to see one part of my true strength? If you accept, I will run with my full potential."

"Interesting." He replied. As soon as he receives the baton, he did not move one inch from his position.

"I accept your challenge, so please do show me." He continued.

A few seconds later, Torikachi reach out to both of us, giving me the baton.

"Good luck to both of you, people who I admired the most." He said as he grabs both of our shoulders, implying the sign of good luck.

"You've done great, Torikachi." I told him, and I turned my gaze to the President.

"Run as fast as you can." I told him and we started to run.

I do not care anything more about this race, the one I only care about is the person who is currently running besides me. I do not care what the crowd sees, nor do I care about how shocked they will be.

I never once run this fast in my life. The only thing I care about at this moment is to give all of my power to win this race.

POV: Torikachi

Damn, Manabu-senpai and Kiyotaka both already take the lead at the same pace. Most students are shocked by this turn of events.

Well, except for me of course.

"What? How did he become so fast all of the sudden?" Ike could not help himself but ask the one million dollar question.

Quite expected because he just match up with Manabu-senpai out of the blue.

As Karuizawa and Hirata turn in my direction, seeing that I'm smiling, they engage in a conversation.

"Did you expect this event to happen, Torikachi-kun?" Hirata asks me.

"Yep. I already know about these things. You could already see that I grab both Manabu-senpai's and Kiyotaka's shoulders.

"You are pretty well-acquainted with the President, aren't you?" Karuizawa asks.

"Well, I'm not the secretary of the council for no reason." I replied with a grin.

"Do you know the reason why he held back?" Hirata asks me with curiosity. "How could you know all of these things?"

"Well, as I always said, I knew everything," I replied with my most iconic reply. "However, I can't disclose this information to you yet, Hirata. It's hard to explain in a time like this."

"Well, I guess you can tell me anytime you feel comfortable enough," Hirata replied with a timid expression on his face.

"Say, Hirata. Does all of our classmates are fully aware of Kushida's actions now?" I asked with a serious tone. "I need to confirm this for future measures."

"To answer your questions, Torikachi-kun. Even though they are fully aware of it, but some of them were skeptical about it." Hirata replied with enough information for me to figure things out.

"Let me guess, they were Ike, Yamauchi, Miyamoto, Hondou?" I guessed most of the perverts in our class. "There is no need to tell that they always hallucinating about her. I could break them down by throwing at them more evidence."

"I guess that's how you solve problems," Hirata replied with a sad smile.

"You looked calm while saving Sotomura back there, Torikachi." Karuizawa uses the opportunity to speak, did not want to be a leftover in our conversation.

"I guess it's my nature to be calm then." I replied with a shrug, leaving her skeptical about my answers.

The relay race has come to an end, with Manabu-senpai reaching the first place, while Kiyotaka reaching second place because a senior fell to the ground, causing him to lose the time to finish the race.

How unfortunate for him...

The Festival has ended with the win going to the Red Team, effortlessly.

'The rankings are:

First place: Class 1-D (Ryuuen's class) (+50CP)

Second place: Class 1-A (Arisu's class) (+0CP)

Third place: Class 1-C (Ichinose's class) (-150CP)

Fourth place: Class 1-B (my class) (-200CP)

Since my class got last place and lost the event, so it's a 200 class points deduction. Sounds heavy but okay.'

Class A: 874 CP (0)

Class B: 607 CP (-200) => Demoted to class C

Class C: 653 CP (-150) => Promoted to class B

Class D: 342 CP (+50)

The class dropped down to class C, which is a good sign.

Now, with everything already in place,

I guess it is time for me to meet with Arisu for the confrontation.

===========================================================================

Ayyoooo

It's me again.

Took me long enough for an update. I got sick on the final day of 2021 and I slept through 2022, missing out on the countdown of the new year.

I literally write this on the phone while I couldn't get off my bed, so I skipped a lot of the plot, including Kinoshita's blaming, Kiyotaka spying on other classes, Class C's overall performance, Horikita and Sudou's revelation, Kiyo roasting Horikita, .etc

My apologies for skipping a lot of the scenes in this chapter, but there's still the final confrontation chapter coming up. I will include most of the details about Kiyo ruining Ryuuen's plan, and Arisu's confrontation. I can't remember the exact words of their conversations, and I'm too lazy to read the light novel. So expect it to be a bit OC. Again, I apologize for my laziness.

So yeah. Hope y'all enjoy it and expect the confrontation will be a bit longer
