I have been sick

In so much pain

It hurt to read

Or write refrain

I'm better now

Pain not so bad

Pick up a pen

And writing pad

While I was sick

The words still flowed

Stuck in mind's dam

The lyrics glowed

Today dam breach

A word release

Pen is busy

Word's won't cease

I'm so grateful

Health tide has turned

I read and write

Life's spark returned
