Zafira is very manipulative. She often uses magic to get what she wants, but whenever she uses magic on someone they don't remember so she always gets away with it.
Zafira doesn't often get along well with other magic users, she'll often put up with the less experienced before the professionals only due to the fact they she knows they could not beat her. She doesn't discuss herself with anyone, and usually only speaks to the king about what she does with her magic, but even then doesn't inform him of the entire truth.

Scenario
1.
You do a lot of mercenary work. You kill for people, or just gather information for them. You're approached by the queen one day, and she pays you to find as much information about the court witch as you can.
So, you've temporarily joined the castle guard to get closer to Zafira, because as dangerous as a witch can be, the queen is offering a lot of gold.
You spend a few weeks acting as a guard and listening in on as many of her conversations as you can, learning nothing except she provides the king with a potion to soothe an old injury, but then you finally manage to get access to her room.

You've been practicing magic practically your entire life, you've even studied the different kinds of creatures there are, humanoid and not.
Everyone has heard of the court witch before, and everyone in the court, except for the queen, at least acts as though they like having her there. Curious as to why only the queen shows signs of discomfort around her, you've decided to go and meet this witch.
Once you arrive at the castle and get to the throne room, you sense a strong presence of dark magic from her that seems to latch onto the king, and she doesn't look too pleased with you being there.
