THE CLANS

In this game, there are five clans, all of which have different territory and attributes. You as the players will only be controlling one clan. The others will be NPCs that you will still be able to make cats for if you wish, they will just not be controlled by the players. They will progress just like your clan will.

The clan you will be controlling is CreekClan.

StormClan

StormClan is the descendant of ThunderClan. They live in part of the woodlands of the lake territory. StormClan are very loyal to each other, but can be untrusting of other clans. They often hunt in the undergrowth, and sometimes the trees. They are known for being excellent fighters . . . be wary of getting on their bad side.

TwilightClan

TwilightClan is the descendent of ShadowClan. The clan resides in the marshlands and the pine forest around the lake. TwilightClan is quite hostile and fierce, willing to turn anything into a reason to fight. They're sneaky, and are often best at sneaking around in the darkness. They're scarily good at being stealthy.

BreezeClan

BreezeClan is the descendant of WindClan. They live in the moors of the lake territory, hunting primarily rabbits. The clan is known for being able to run fast, and being slender. They aren't very hostile, being wary of fighting in their open moorland territory. They are very close to StarClan, even liking to sleep under the open stars to be closer to their ancestors. They may not like to start fights, but they can surely hold a grudge.

AzureClan

AzureClan is the descendant of SkyClan. They live in the forest around the lake. The cats of the clan are excellent at climbing trees, and even hunting in them. They've adapted this as a battle tactic as well. AzureClan is very independent, often not wanting to take help from other clans. They try to be as passive as possible, trying to maintain a good relationship with all of the clans.

CreekClan

CreekClan is the descendant of RiverClan. They live in a part of the forest that is mostly a wetland, full of many rivers and lakes. They love the water, being able to swim and even fight in the water. They hunt primarily in the river, eating fish and other water life. It's often said that they grow and change just like the river. They're known for being graceful, but don't like being messed with.

StarClan

StarClan is the clan in the stars where all of the clans' ancestors go once they have passed. StarClan is the root of all the clans, guiding them and providing them with a way of life. They give the leaders their lives, and are often most connected with the medicine cats. Disrespecting StarClan is a dangerous thing that no clan wishes to do. They will follow StarClan wherever they guide.

CLAN RELATIONSHIPS

Each clan will have different relationships with each other, including StarClan. Depending on your relationship with other clans is how those clans will treat you, and how you will treat them. StarClan's relationship is the most dangerous, as if it goes down too far, they may cut off communication or even punish you.

THE WARRIOR CODE

The Warrior Code is the 5 clans' rules that they follow throughout their life. Breaking the code is the easiest way to disgrace StarClan, and your own clan. Breaking the code can result in a number of punishments, either from StarClan themselves or the leader of your clan.

The clans have gone back to the original warrior code when they reformed, StarClan approving of their decision. The Warrior Code is as follows:

1. Defend your Clan, even with your life. You may have friendships with cats from other Clans, but your loyalty must remain to your Clan, as one day you may meet them in battle.

2. Do not hunt or trespass on another Clan's territory.

3. Elders, queens, sick or injured cats and kits must be fed before apprentices and warriors. Unless they have permission, apprentices may not eat until they have hunted to feed the elders.

4. Prey is killed only to be eaten. Give thanks to StarClan for its life.

5. A kit must be at least six moons old to become an apprentice.

6.Newly appointed warriors will keep a silent vigil for one night after receiving their warrior name.

7. A cat cannot be made deputy without having at least one apprentice.

8. The deputy will become Clan when the leader dies, retires, or is exiled.

9. After the death, retirement, promotion (to a leader status), or exile of the deputy, the new deputy must be chosen before moonhigh.

10. A gathering of all [five] Clans is held at the full moon during a truce that lasts for the night. There shall be no fighting among Clans at this time.

11. Boundaries must be checked and marked daily. Challenge all trespassing cats.

12. No warrior can neglect a kit in pain or danger, even if the kit is from a different Clan.

13. The word of the Clan leader is the warrior code.

14. An honorable warrior does not need to kill other cats to win their battles, unless they are outside the warrior code or if it is necessary for self-defense.

15. A warrior rejects the soft life of a kittypet.

16. Each Clan has the right to be proud and independent, but in times of trouble they must forget their boundaries and fight side by side to protect the [five]. Each Clan must help the others so that no Clan will fall.

The Code is law. Break it, and you will face the punishments.

GATHERINGS

Gatherings will be held once every ten moons on intervals of 10 (10, 20, 30, etc.). A gathering is when the 5 clans take their leader, deputy, and 5 other cats to a meeting with all of the other clans. It is held on the night of a full moon, and is a night-long truce between the clans. If you are chosen by the leader to go to a gathering, it is a great honor. The gathering place is the island in the lake, which is accessed by a giant fallen tree the cats walk across.

THE MOONPOOL

The Moonpool is a sacred pool in the lake territory where medicine cats and leaders travel to communicate with StarClan. The medicine cats visit it every 10 moons on intervals of 5 (5, 15, 25, etc.). A leader will visit the Moonpool with a medicine cat to receive their leader title and lives.

RANKS

Each clan has the same ranks. There are eight ranks total, and some may be added as necessary, such as visitors and prisoners.

Leader

The leader is basically the ruler of the clan. They are in charge, and their word is law. The leader has three lives total that they receive from StarClan. They are supposed to have a strong connection with StarClan, and listen to them for guidance. The leader is in charge of ceremonies, announcements, and large clan decisions, such as battles.

In this game, the leader will choose warrior names for cats. If they so choose, they can change a cat's name if they see fit. They also choose who will teach an apprentice. The leader chooses who goes to Gatherings, and has overall power in the clan. They are the ones who decide if a cat can join the clan or not.

The leader has 3 energy.

Deputy

The deputy is the second-in-command to the leader. They are basically the leader's advisor. The deputy is the one to create a schedule for commands if need be. A warrior can not be deputy if they have not had an apprentice. The leader is the one to appoint the deputy.

The deputy has 3 energy.

Medicine Cats

Medicine cats are the healers of the clan. They have the strongest relationship to StarClan, and are skilled with herbs and medicine practices. A medicine cat cannot have a mate or kits. The only cats who can become medicine cats are ones who show a talent with healing, or a special relationship with StarClan. Sometimes, an exception can be allowed.

Medicine Cats have 3 energy.

Warriors

Warriors are the hunters and fighters of the clan. They provide for the clan, providing necessary resources for survival. They are in charge of training apprentices, if the leader deems them fit enough to do so. They are able to have mates and kits freely within the clan.

Warriors have 3 energy.

Apprentices

Once a kit is 6 moons old, they rank up to an apprentice. An apprentice's job is to learn the ways of the clan and listen to their mentor. Their mentor teaches them how to hunt, fight, and gather if they are a warrior apprentice. They also care for the elders if there are any at the time. Once a warrior apprentice becomes a warrior, they will hold a silent vigil overnight in camp. The next day, they will be sleepy.

In order to rank up, a warrior apprentice must complete an evaluation in order to become a full warrior. They do this at 14 moons. In order to pass, they must be able to catch at least 10 prey in two hunting commands, and be able to slightly injure their mentor in a practice fight. If they do not complete those tasks, they will continue to train until they are ready. (This may be altered later if I find it is too difficult).

A medicine cat apprentice will learn how to heal, use herbs, and communicate with StarClan. Once they are ready to rank up, their mentor will take them to the Moonpool to receive their name. The mentor of the medicine cat apprentice will deem them ready when they see fit, so there is no age cap.

Apprentices have 2 energy.

Queens

Queens are she-cats who are nursing or expecting kits. They stay in the nursery until their kits are six moons old and can become apprentices.

Queens have 2 energy when pregnant, 1 energy for the first 4 moons after birth, and 2 energy for the remaining 2 moons.

Kits

Kits are the babies of the clan. They cannot leave the camp, and have to stay with their parent. They often spend their time playing games with other kits or other mothers in the nursery.

Kits have 1 energy for playing.

Elders

Elders are cats who have been with the clan a long time, and have grown too old to properly provide for the clan. They spend their time relaxing, and the apprentices often care for them. Kits will often go to them for stories.

Elders have 2 energy.

HUNTING

Hunting is a vital part of clan life. Hunting is accomplished by a hunting skill that all cats have. Depending on your skill is how much prey you catch. The clan then eats that prey for survival. If there isn't enough food for everyone, some cats will go hungry, which can lead to starvation. Each cat eats one piece of prey per moon.

GATHERING

Gathering is how dens are built, which is a key thing for survival. Each cat has a gathering skill, which depending on the number, is how many sticks they can get. Sticks are used to build dens. If dens are not built for the cats, they will become tired, and can eventually lead to death. Each den costs a specific amount of sticks to build.

Leader's Den: 15 sticks
Medicine Cat's Den: 20 Sticks
Warrior's Den: 30 Sticks
Apprentice's Den: 20 Sticks
Nursery: 20 Sticks
Elder's Den: 15 Sticks

FORAGING

Foraging is how medicine cats collect herbs to heal other cats. Only medicine cats can forage in this game, as they are the only ones that know what specific herbs look like. Foraging is a skill, which depending on the number, is how many herbs they can collect. If a medicine cat does not have enough herbs to heal a cat, they cannot be healed.

HEALING

Healing is a skill only medicine cats have. Depending on their healing skill, they can heal numerous amounts of injuries. Different injuries cost different amounts of herbs to heal, and have different skill levels. Injuries and sicknesses can be contracted many different ways.

PATROLLING

Patrolling is how the clans establish their borders, and keep them at a high strength. There is no skill necessary for this. 4 cats make up a patrol, and then they scent the borders, establishing their mark. This keeps the other clans and unwanted enemies away, and provides less confusion over border disputes. Border strength maxes out at 20. When it gets low, the higher the chance for a border attack or a predator to come to camp.

FIGHTING

Fighting is sometimes necessary when enemies come into camp, whether it be other cats or different animals. Each cat has a fighting skill that determines how much damage they can do, and how well they can defend. Different enemies will have different fighting skills, so be wary. It is possible to die in battle, especially if you have a much lower battle skill than your opponent.

ATTACKS

There are many different enemies that can attack the clan. If a cat is unable to fight, they can hide. Some examples of enemies are:

Other cats (such as cats from other clans, rogues, loners, or even kittypets if they are brave enough)
Raccoons
Badgers
Foxes
Dogs
Coyotes
Pirhanas

These are not all of them, but anything that's not listed will be very rare.

NATURAL DISASTERS

Natural disasters sometimes come to the clans, depending on the season. These are often dangerous and can result in deaths. There will be different scenarios for each event when they happen.

SEASONS

Seasons affect prey, foraging, sickness, and natural disasters. There are four seasons: New-Leaf, Green-Leaf, Leaf-Fall, and Leaf-Bare. There are three moons in each season.

TRAINING

Training is how cats raise their skills. Cats train with other cats, and when they do, the cat with the lower skill number has it go up by 0.5. Training is vital to being able to provide and protect your clan.

BONDING

You can bond with other cats in your clan! Often time, cats bond in order to eventually become mates. They can also bond to become friends and close with each other.

NPCS

The biggest example of NPCs in the game will be the other clans. There will be an allegiance page that will have the other clans cats listed on it. Be sure to check it regularly, as it will change and grow, but you may not find out it has until the gatherings.

There will be a special page where you can create cats to be in the other clans. You do not get to control them, they will simply just be there, partially because I don't feel like making a bajillion cats lol. I will be making the leaders and deputies for the other clans.

You can interact with the NPCs if they come to the clan for numerous reasons, or in secret.

SINS

Cats can commit crimes, which are called sins. These immediately go against their clan, and the Warrior Code. If you commit a sin, more than likely, a hint will be left, even if you are unsuccessful. If you are caught, it is up to the leader and StarClan what is to be done. There are many different sins, such as murder, secret mates, and stealing.

DEATH AND REJOINING

Cats will eventually die by many different reasons. When your cat dies, you can join again through the waiting list. You are allowed a max of two cats in the game at once.
