"ROOOOAR!! I'M THE EVIL SNOW LORD!! MUHAHAHA!!" The brunette waved a snow monster around.

The youngest girl giggled, "Ahhh!! Help me!! I've been captured!! ...Aqua, make a prince and give it to Ven!"

Two young girls and two young boys were play in the room together, playing with snow and the snow figurines the oldest girl had made.

"Okay!" She giggled as she made a figure from ice that looked like a prince and gave it to the blonde.

"Halt you monster! I'm going to stop you!!" He said, giggling a little.

"Not if I capture you first!" Terra chuckled and made the snow monster hold the prince.

"Oh no! My prince!" The littlest pretended to be scared. "Snow Fairy Godmother! I need your help!"

Aqua laughed as she used her own character, who was on a horse, "The snow fairy godmother will stop, you snow monster!"

"Aqua, Piri, Ventus, and Terra, almost time for bed!" They heard the two girls' father say.

"Terra, your father said he was going to his chamber. Ven, your mother said she was going to hers too." They heard the two girls' mother say with a gentle giggle. The parents came in, smiling. "You two don't wanna get left behind, do you?"

"O-oh! Okay!" Terra smiled and stood, waving and running off, "See you tomorrow guys!"

"Bye bye Terra! Bye Ven!" Piri giggled and waved.

"Bye Ven, Bye Terra!" Aqua giggled a little and Terra blushed, hearing her giggle.

"See you later!!" Ven said, running after Terra.

Aqua and Piri's dad laughed a little as he asked, "What were you four playing?"

"Oh! We were playing Enchanted Forest!" Piri giggled, showing him the princess figure.

The girls kept playing and their father walked over to Aqua's bed, sitting down, "Hmm... well, that's not like the Enchanted Forest I've ever been to before."

Both of the girls gasped. They focused their attention to the king and Aqua asked, "You've been to an enchanted forest before?"

"Yeah, and you didn't even tell us? What was it like?" Piri asked, wanting to know every detail, like Aqua.

"Well, I could tell you now..." He said with a smile as the girls scrambled over to the bed and sat.

"Tell us! Tell us!" Piri giggled, clapping her hands excitedly.

"Alright, alright, I will if you two settle down." He said, chuckling.

"Are you sure they are old enough, Isao?" Their mother asked him, smiling gently.

"I believe so, Anzu. They would have found out eventually." He said as the girls looked at him with wonder filled eyes.

"Far away as we can go, stood a very old and very Enchanted Forest. But its magic wasn't that of goblins spells or fairies. It was protected by the most powerful spirits of all... Those of air, fire, water, and earth. But it was also home to the mysterious Destinian people."

"Were the Destinians magical, like me?" Aqua asked as Isao shook his head.

"They were not magical, they just took advantage of the forest gifts. Their ways were different from ours, but they promised us friendship. In honor of that, your grandfather, King Ansem, built them a mighty dam to strengthen their waters. It was a gift of peace."

"That's the biggest gift I've ever heard of!" Piri gasped, in surprise and wonder.

"It is, isn't it?" He chuckled as he continued with his story, "And I was so honored to get to the forest to celebrate it. I wasn't at all prepared for what the day would bring. We let down our guard. We were charmed. And it felt so magical. But something went wrong. They attacked us and your grandfather... was lost. The fighting enraged the spirits and turned their magic against us all. There was this... voice I heard. Someone was saving from the raging battle and the magic. I was told the spirits then vanished and mist covered the forest, locking everyone else out. That night I came home... King of Radiant Garden."

"Wow... That was so cool. Whoever saved you, I love them." Piri said and giggled, but then had so many questions, "What happened to the Destinians? Did anyone else survive?"

"What happened to the spirits? What's in the Forest now?" Aqua asked.

"I don't know. The mist still stands. No one can get in, and no one has since come out. As for the forest's people, they could still be in the forest, as there living their lives peacefully." He told both of his daughters.

"The forest could be dangerous still, since the spirits could be still angry, bit we are safe." The mother smiled at them and reassured them.

"Yes, but the forest could wake again, and we must be prepared for whatever danger it may bring." Isao told them as he and his wife noticed it was late.

"And with that note, it's time to go to bed." Their mother said, getting ready to turn down the lamp light.

"Wait! I have so many questions!" Piri pouted, "I can't wait til the morning either! Why didn't the monsters attack anyway if they're so mad?"

"Save them for another night, Piri. It's time for bed... Good night girls." Isao told her with a small smile, kissing their foreheads. He left the room afterwards.

"Mama? Do you think the forest will wake again?" Aqua asked her mom, looking curious yet a little worried.

"Only Atahallan knows." She said, looking down at the floor.

"What's that?" Aqua asked, curious.

"When I was a little girl, my mother would a song about a special river called Atahallan. That was said to answer all the things about the past. About what we were apart of." Anzu told them.

"Wow..." Piri leaned her head against Aqua's shoulder.

"Will you sing it for us? Please?" Aqua asked, looking at her mother.

"Okay, cuddle close!" She cuddled with them as the giggled, "Scoot in!"

Aqua giggled as her and Piri cuddled with her, smiling at her. They were excited that their mom started to sing to them.

Where the north wind meets the sea

There is a river full of memory

Sleep, my darling, safe and sound

For in this River all is found

In her waters, deep and true

Lie the answers and path for you

She sung and Piri fell asleep, snoring, while Aqua stayed awake. Anzu picked up Piri and brought her to her bed as she kept singing.

Dive down deep into her sound

But not too far or you'll be drowned

Yes, she will sing to those who hear

And in her song, all magic flows

But can you be brave what you most fear?

Can you face what the river knows?

Anzu tucked Aqua in, who was yawning. The older sister was lulled to sleep with their mother's voice.

Where the north wind meets the sea

There's a mother full of memory

Come my darling, homeward bound

When all is lost, then all is found

Aqua closed her eyes as she fell asleep. Their mom left the room and both girls peacefully slept.
