The last match in the Redemption Round, the magenta haired space cadet stepped into the platform, armed and ready to fight the boss.

Suzanne entered into the platform, her red eyes focused on her opponent. She was excited, but the vampire didn’t show it.
She was the boss. Not Trevor!
Oh, and she was half asleep.
Vampires do need their sleep, and her prey had been particularly unwilling to die.
Suzanne yawned as if it was nothing (her sleepiness was actually something). In fact, her brain was whizzing.
OH YEAH! Trevor can chew on THAT for free! Enjoy Flamefury showing YOU!
She analyzed Stella.
THAT ONE?!
Her head shot up to find Micah. Is she holding that blasted thing?
Instead, her eyes caught Trevor. Who was pointedly staring only at Stella, refusing to acknowledge that the vampire had bested him this round.
Whatever.
Shadow and the gang were laughing their heads off, hanging on to each other so that they wouldn’t fall below.
Are they laughing at ME?!
Suzanne bristled. She faced Stella, attempting to smirk and yawn at the same time.
I HATE not sleeping enough.
She cocked her head cheekily and lashed her tail, curling it into the Squad’s equivalent of an offensive sign.
Aimed at Trevor, since Stella wouldn’t understand it.
Suzanne heard the Squad’s laughter multiply, but focused on Stella, waiting.
Waiting.

Stella took out the gun from her holster and deliberately shot at the black muscular Indoraptor vampire hybrid. Fortunately she dodged the blast by an inch, recalling Micah's blast.
No way am I turning into an alien golem again.

The airheaded alien cowgirl kept shooting with her galactic gun, as fiery blasts shot out from the weapon while Suzanne let out a forcefield.
Stella threw a pocket-sized destabilizer, its appearance akin to a cleaning laundry pod as it landed on the forcefield. Flickering out like a lightbulb, it didn't help that Suzanne got cranky when she got drowsy.

Stella shot Suzanne, the vampire hybrid felt the sting of the blast, similar to a scalding blast from one of Blue's fireballs, minus the second degree burns.
NO!!! Then she looked at arms and legs, still a vampire. Oh, silly me. I can’t die anymore. I’m so SLEEPY.
She let out a sigh of relief, before she felt many more acid blasts. Suzanne hissed and pulled out of her long black cloak the exact same gun as Stella was carrying. She returned equally well once she was used to the new weapon.

Trevor squinted at Stella, scrutinizing her and her get-up. Then craned his neck to look at Bary, "is she really threatened by that twig?"
Bary smirked and adjusted her huge glasses, “I don’t know, what do you think?” She nudged Spino, and they went off into gales of laughter.
Trevor hissed. “Why didn’t you tell me about the boss position?”
“If you had gone to the stadium sooner, you would've gotten a spot, ya big dummy." Blue returned, waving the V.I.P. pass at him.
“Butttt,” whined Trevor.
“I hope you bust some butts,” Verdauga said.
“She better,” added Shadow. “At least we save on blood when Suzanne’s in the arena.”
Trevor scowled. “Stop talking about her.”
Blue began baiting him, giggling happily. Ripper joined. They were probably the best, second only to Verdauga, at annoying something.

The red eyed Izarian pressed on the charge button for her gun to load on the blast, the galactic gun whirred and radiated an orange hue as the light of the blast grew while Suzanne shot multiple blasts, missing on the moving target. Stella dodged them as she ran in a zigzag, some of the spectators were getting bored of the neon gun tag. The platform released a bevy of drones hovered in the air as they shot indiscriminately at the combatants.

"What's the meaning of this!? I'm the boss here." Suzanne screeched before Stella shot a charged blast at Suzanne's dark cloak, a luminescent orange residue burnt off the cloak, revealing the vampire's thigh. "Rude!" Suzanne had to run, to dodge the shots that came from the drones.

Stella was in a similar situation, she was running from the drones that circled around. Suzanne’s quick vampire reflexes came in handy now, as she dodged shooting down the drone by the eye as it exploded.

Micah had spotted the drones reforming and connecting into each other physically as it formed into a chain of drones. Micah's beady eyes widened as she uttered. Strepto drone. The Raptor Squad paid no mind until the strepto drone hovered into the air and targeted the combatants. Blue shot one down with her fire, and Trevor yelled, “HEY!” Blue raised her eyebrows. “I mean, stop it, let Suzanne die!” he said.
“Wait, were you defending her before?” Blue raised her eyebrows.
“NEVER!” Blue thought Trevor was a little red. She took out her notepad, which she had stolen from Bary.
Note: Why is Trevor turning red about Suzanne?
Secret: I really wouldn’t even if my life depended on it. She’s annoying.

It slithered in the air at a breakneck speed as the drones released at a rapid succession. Lasers protruding under it, leaving blast marks on the ground.

"We have to take down the drones!" Stella hollered.

"I'm the boss!" Suzanne retorted. “But yeah, fine.” She pulled out her copy of Stella’s galactic gun.

Then they heard the blasts getting louder and CLOSER. Stella took out another galactic gun and started shooting.

They both shot at the Strepto drone. Trying to shoot down one drone after another.

Another bevy of drones were launched.

"How many are there!?" Stella shouted.

Suzanne’s strategy was to copy Stella’s armory, she also had advanced technology of Akarra’s. While the hybrid Indoraptor was organizing on which weapon would be used, The drones moved in a synchronized fashion and hovered above them 16 feet in the air as they spinned rapidly at a perfect circle to form a ring as they shot lasers at them. Suzanne shot at the droids, then Stella remembered the lipstick laser she had at her disposal. Suzanne's galactic gun was running low on plasma before a laser shot her galactic gun, burning her hand. The blistering pain caused Suzanne to yelp.

Micah was unamused by this. Then put her gloved hand around her mouth before hollering, "DESTABILIZE THE DRONES!"

"BUT HOW?" Suzanne asked.

Stella's eyes narrowed at the drones and then at Suzanne. The Izarian's light up with a plan. "I have an idea."

Indy looked at the combatants below, glaring at the magenta haired alien as she said something to Suzanne. Though their discussion was muffled by the laser blasts.
"What are they saying?" Ripper asked as he tried to lean closer. They spotted Suzanne making an irritated hand gesture at Stella.

Stella blinked as a bat hovered in Suzanne’s place and the bat flew into the drone's firing range as she flew in an erratic pattern. The drones targeted Suzanne before a laser cut through them while they fell one by one.

The laser came from the lipstick Stella had in hand. Akin to a game of laser tag Suzanne flew in a zigzag and then at a spiralling motion to avoid the lasers that came from the drones and from the weapon that Stella found.

I can't believe I'm trusting an alien. Suzanne thought begrudgingly as she flew past the drones while Stella pointed the lipstick laser at the drones. After the drones are done I'm going in for the kill. Suzanne flew back as descended to turn back into an Indoraptor.

When Stella aimed the laser at Suzanne a drone got in the way while Suzanne dodged the laser. "Nice try alien, I'm still the boss."

Another group of drones were launched only this time, they were faster and they surrounded the competitors, ready to eliminate them.

The Squad joined in, Blue proudly firing flames at the drones. Bary begged with Ripper to launch a tsunami, “PLEASE LET MEEEEE!”
“You’ll hurt someone,” Ripper was not amused. “Blurgh,” he spat out water as Bary buffeted him backwards with a wave. She yelled at Spino, “WATER HURTS THEM!”
Spino made a wave grab a drone and pull it to him. “NO IT DOESN’T! HELP ME GET THIS UNDER CONTROL! WE NEED TO STUDY IT!”
He stowed it in the Spino and Bary ‘trash bin,’ a huge bag full of random stuff that they had collected to ‘study’.

After the Raptor Squad had realized that the drones were waterproof. The Drones scattered and hovered approximately 20 feet above and they changed formation. Releasing a laser light at each other, materializing a forcefield to keep the Raptor Squad hostage as they were lifted up in the air. They did all that they could to break away from the barrier, even their transformations were inefficient.

Blue released green fire at the forcefield making the smoke surround them and Bary circled the barrier with darkwater. The smoky water blinded the drone cameras, before Blue got rid of them. The drones that ensnared the Raptor Squad hovered out of the arena as they were dropped off. As the forcefield faded, Spino got injured wrestling the stubborn drone into the ‘trash bin,’ Ripper used his skills on reversing the injury, meanwhile confiscating the drone.

Indy took the battle to the air. While the drones were agile, Indy was speedy. The drones went for her wings, but they were too leathery. It didn't take long for the drones to trap her in a forcefield and took her out of the arena as well.
“Excuse me,” Suzanne said.
Stella blinked as a bat hovered in Suzanne’s place. She circled around the forcefield, conjuring her own that limited the drones’ movements. Though she didn't expect to get stung by one of the drones. She fell while Stella ran up to catch her.

Despite that they were escorted out, the Squad charged back in to catch their friend.

"Wait," said Indy to Bary. “There’s half a score of them.”
The half score was demolished fast, as the Squad really didn’t want to make a bad impression on an arena, full of people. As they liked the fear a squad of dinosaurs brought on the Colosseum. Trevor caught Suzanne.
Blue nearly busted Indy’s claw in her eagerness to take down the last one.

Suzanne flitted back into the arena and turned back into a human. She cocked her copy of Stella’s gun before stowing it in the remains of her cloak, muttering, “Stupid thing destroyed my best alien skin cloak, ugh.”

Shadow remarked to Trevor, “Oh, look at that. Blue, don’t you have a rug made of the same alien skin?”
“I do, I do!” Blue jumped up and down.
She got out some painting tools and the Amoebian-skin rug, and began painting a sign that, knowing Blue, could only be offensive.
Shadow raised her binoculars and spied Micah at the other end of the arena. “Oooh, good one!”
Trevor snatched the binoculars and focused on the arena, then threw them to Blue. He sniffed, pulling the hood of his alien skin cloak up to hide his face.
Meanwhile, Indy was discovering a sweet tooth for human brains. She was chewing the gooey stuff extremely fast.
Blue’s sign was finished:

Do you like my Amoebian skin rug?

I think it’s rather fashionable.
Also, I need another one.
Yours, alien!

Bary had helped her spell Amoebian.
“First Hexice, now that intolerable alien,” remarked Spino. “Seriously.”
Indy saved a brain for Blue, “You should try this, it’s really good.”
In the arena, Suzanne dodged a shot from Stella and conjured another copy of the gun, turning it on and throwing it at Stella while using the other one to shoot at her.

Stella's shoulder pad got scorched. She tried shooting before she spotted something much worse. "Seriously?"

Micah was terrified, but not at the Raptor Squad's offensive gesture, but at the A.I.D.

Artificially
Intelligent
Destructor

[Advanced Android ingeniously designed to study the target and adaptable to eliminate invaders from the premises. Its solid outer shell is welded out of steel and tungsten, therefore durable and nearly indestructible to most attacks. Distinct from any machine from the drone unit. Its mainframe is safeguarded from hackers and difficult to deactivate.]

The A.I.D. recorded the fight and the cannon on its shoulder, glowing before the ominous red light blasted the Raptor Squad, they were atomically transported out of the arena, while the skin rug that was raises disintegrated into ashes as it landed on the ground.

Micah's jaw dropped open. Those thick headed fossils got apprehended by the A.I.D. How on Amoeba did a low-budget stadium afford an expensive military machine?

The host pressed a button to make an announcement. "I have to inform you all that the combatants are immediately disqualified. I apologize for the inconvenience."

The Squad found themselves in a dark midnight forest.
At least, Suzanne was sure it was a forest. If forest trees were blue.
Never mind, it wasn’t. She saw the rest of the Squad, AND some shadows.
Ah shoot.
She lunged at it and her vampire fangs shot out. She brought it down, her eyes glowed red with bloodlust as she sank her teeth into the fresh neck of her victim.
It doesn’t taste human.
No time, though, there were many others. Suzanne could sense it. She had to get out!
The Indoraptor-vampire hybrid leaped up a tree as someone tried pursuing her.
She squinted against the dusky atmosphere. The sky seemed dark green.
Oh!
She clawed around, thinking if she brought the Squad’s power jewel with her.
“Chill,” said a voice.
Shadow and Verdauga dropped silently from a branch above.
“I got it,” said Shadow.
“Let’s do it!” said Suzanne, looking up to see the Squad dangling their legs off the branches. Blue was still gnawing on a hand. They looked completely chill. Well, they survived Nevaeh.
“There’s a problem,” said Shadow. “We don’t know where we are.”
“Oh,” scoffed Suzanne. “My turn to tell you to chill.”
Shadow got it. “RIIIIGHT!”
She turned to Trevor, “Hey, want some hands?”
“Yeah, pass ‘em up,” Trevor said. He licked his lips and settled down.
“Go and get them!” Shadow pointed below, wiping her own sweaty hands on her shorts.
“‘So not faaaaaiiiiirrrr,” complained Trevor, then he jumped below, landing soundlessly seven feet below.
The scene was suddenly lit by a fire. Apparently someone had been carrying a torch. Now the trees were lit by an unearthly green flame. A huge Indominus Rex prowled below.
The hybrid was engineered from mostly Velociraptor and T. Rex, but the Squad speculated there was some Allosaurus in there, as well as Giganotosaurus, Majungasaurus, Carnotaurus, Rugops, Therizinosaurus, cuttlefish, tree frog, pit viper, Sarcosuchus, and many others.
This made the armor of the I. Rex literally indestructible. As the shadowy figures found out to their loss
“Stand ready, here comes dinner!” squealed Shadow, and leaned out to catch a body.
The fire burned hotter, threatening to envelope the land.
“HURRY UP!” yelled Trevor, back in human form, scrambling back up the trunk.
“Where are we?” Ripper shouted back.
“Figure it out!” Trevor screamed. He seated himself on a branch next to Suzanne and the two were immediately not going to help in any way. Suzanne dropped her fangs. Trevor hissed.
Shadow leaned over the body, which had a bluish tinge.
She drew a dagger from where it was hidden on her waist.
“Where are we?”
The creature remained silent.
“Oh, I see, you’re not afraid of dying,” Shadow deduced. She began carving a leg, slowly, skinning the creature with a longer skinning knife as she went. The Indoraptor hybrid even smiled at her victim’s screams.
“So she’s still nuts,” whispered Blue to Ripper.
The creature screamed.
Shadow carved the leg halfway off and started on its face, doodling an S on it. Blood splashed. Then she set the dagger nearer the eyeball, before slowly gouging it out. Very. Slowly.
“NO!” yelped the creature.
“Maybe I won’t take an eye,” Shadow considered, “if you tell me.”
“Fine,” the creature blubbered out something.
“Got it, Anne?” Shadow nodded at Suzanne.
“Yup.” Suzanne tapped her head. “All in here.”
Shadow continued on the eyeball. “Sure you’re telling the truth.”
The creature wailed.
“Okay then, thank you very much.”
She sliced the head off quickly, as well as the hands. While Suzanne set the crystal up, Indy worked on the skull, trying to get to the brain.
The crystal glowed blue and green, Bary looked into it. “Doesn’t look like the Colosseum, but hey, it could be. You never do know, and if it’s not, we’ll take the risk.”

One minute later, the barren dusty landscape had, aside from snake carcasses, the groaning Squad.
“Oh my freaking Indo,” groaned Suzanne, “I’m dead.” She flopped onto her side.
“Where is this?” Shadow sat upright.
Verdauga squinted. The place was a barren flatland. Just a dusty grey landscape. The sky was dusty, the ground was dusty, everything was grey and drab.
“We’re in the Dustbin. Holy heck,” suggested Blue.
Ripper helped her up. “Too little dust. So, where are we?”
“GUESS WHERE!” yelped Spino. “I see the Colosseum!”
It was far away, but there it was.
“WHAT?” Shadow said in disbelief.
“Isn’t that good?” Verdauga turned to her.
“No, idiot doodlenose!” Shadow sniped. “How in the name of deathfire did it get like this? Like, what is this?”
Spino pushed his glasses up his nose and suggested, “It is scientifically probable that the premises are fueled by a pellucidian crystalline source, however, substantial areas as the premises mentioned require a considerable amount of intensity to be fueled by the abovementioned. Any pellucid crystalline source with the intensity like that would be potentially destructive to the locality within a maximum of 18.352824921008375 miles, according to my calculations.”
“You’re saying,” Shadow attempted to decipher his words, “that the diamond thing above the Colosseum doors … it’s destroying all this?”
“You are correct,” asserted Spino. “In some primeval way of speaking.”
Shadow gritted her teeth. “I need to speak to the host. Right. Now.”
She switched to Indoraptor and almost flew - 70 miles an hour - towards the Colosseum.
The Squad knew A.I.D.s were possibly watching. Indy and Trevor camouflaged, as did Rexy. Normal T.Rexes couldn’t, but very luckily for her her genes had been tweaked a little to incorporate cuttlefish and tree frog.
The Indoraptors didn’t need much camouflage, neither did Blue. They flew by so fast, it would be hard to see them running.
Overhead in the haze, an A.I.D. struggled to focus. Finding it couldn’t, it reluctantly zoomed away.
The Squad came in sight of the Colosseum. Shadow stared up at the gem.
“I need some explanations, or …” she stared down at her claws. Saliva dripped from the hybrid killer’s mouth and her red eyes narrowed.
Indy sucked on a brain, slowly devouring it as the albino Indoraptor watched her older sister. I hope she doesn’t have a good explanation.
Indy would like a few more brains. The last good one she’d had was an Argentavis, that had been good.
The Squad prowled silently into the gates, searching.
Because the secret message that needed no sharing was, they would not let her go no matter the explanation.
You just don’t mess with dinosaurs.
