"Next up in the Melee Division: Master Yin versus Ratu. The elderly yamitzu master and the little orphan boy. A fight for all ages." Eleanor announced.
"Later in the Magic Division: Ryan versus Ryo Balthyra. The summoner, or the elven swordsman? Find out after the commercial break." Johnathan announced.

"A steep price for a mediocre product. Honestly, who in their right mind would pay for a vacuum with a mop head attached to it?" Eimy was standing nearby a stand near Ratu when she saw the advertisement. The little redhead abandoned the stand when his name was mentioned. When she looked back to where Ratu was, he was gone.

Yin headed his way to the arena while Ratu did the same. Meanwhile Ruben and Dirlu walked together, the noblewoman eyed the Cinnabarian while he stalled as long as he could.
"If this is a scam, I will file a complaint to the supervisor." Dirlu warned, Ruben gritted his teeth.
"If you want what you invested, you'll have to wait." Ruben hinted.
"We have walked around the building for 2 minutes and you've done nothing other then distract me. If I wanted to be entertained, I would've stayed to watch the tournament instead of following your fat butt around." Dirlu replied while she waved her fan.
"If it were up to me, I'd give you the money and leave this maze." Ruben lied, he wanted to keep the money and have her wonder off elsewhere, but the Victorian styled noblewoman had her eyes on her money and she wanted it back with interests.
"Then give me my 9,000ğ." Dirlu demanded.
"I only have the 4,500ğ that you gave me." He retorted.
S Penumbra was walking around, watching the perimeter when she saw the fat redhead again, only this time he was arguing with an elegant brunette.
"I want my money now!" Dirlu demanded.
"Is there a problem ma'am?" S Penumbra inquired, just his luck. Dirlu looked at the woman with an uniform.
"As a matter of fact-"
"I'm trying to return the money, but I only have half of whatever this is." Ruben showed the three 1,500ğ bills. "I only have wons, gules, rubles and dollars. I have no idea how to pay what I owe her." Dirlu looked at him while S Penumbra casted an accusatory glare at him.
"Is that so?" S Penumbra asked while Dirlu nodded in confirmation. "Follow me."

The other competitors (excluding Hwa Hae Ji, June Lily, Stella Spacey and Shadow Vividstripe, Herring and Piros) watched as the elderly Yamitzu master and young boy arrived just in time for their match.

Alexandra flew back to where the other competitors were, once she saw Phixa crestfallen, the angel walked up to the hybrid phoenix.
"I saw the match. You were great out there." Alexandra said.
"You're just saying that to make me feel better. I bet you couldn't see the difference between him and I."
"I saw the difference by the look in your eyes." Alexandra looked at Phixa in the eyes.

Meanwhile, at the infirmary...

"I can't believe I lost, I still don't." Haeji commented.
"Me neither." Mochi second it.
"I just wanna eat something. I would kill for some food right now." Haeji whined before Herring entered the infirmary with a smile on his face.
"Haeji, you're not gonna believe this. I found a woman giving away free food." The young fisherman brought free samples from different foodstands. "Then I searched for other foodstands and this is what I could get." Herring showed a sample made out of cold cuts, another one of cheese and crackers, another sample of a cereal brand, another one of almonds, another sample of green chips, and a sample made out of applesauce.
"Yes! Gimme gimme!" Mochi meowed.
"No, me first!" Haeji interjected as she took the applesauce sample and licked the small plastic cup dry.
"I also saved this sample for you. It came from a stand called Hansel's Pretzels." Herring gave the sample to Haeji. "Now I know why many were fighting for the samples. They taste delicious."

The Yamitzu master allowed the red-haired boy to enter the arena first while he took his sweet time to enter to the opposite side of the arena. Yin kept a smile on his face as he stood in front of the little runt.

"Well this is new." Adrian admitted as he saw the combatants and their physical age gap between Yin and Ratu, despite that some of the competitors were older than Yin yet looked like young adults. Though on this case, an elderly man and a child fighting in the arena was apparent, though controversial.

The referee stood in the middle of the arena. "The rules are simple: No magic, no killing." Glen said before he blew the whistle.

Ratu twirled the cudgel, then held a firm grip on the wooden weapon. Yin stood still with a smile on his face, hands behind his back before Ratu charged. Yin drew a semicircle on the sand with his shoe before the red haired jumped over the drawn semicircle to whack him, the Yamitzu master blocked the attack with the palm of his hand. Then Ratu tried to whack the aged martial artist multiple times while Yin blocked each attack with one hand, the other hand behind his back. When Ratu stepped on the drawn semicircle, Yin used his hand to break the cudgel in half with one strike while he used his other hand to palm Ratu in the sternum, with a single push, Ratu got pushed back with such force as if he got ran over by a freight train. His small body winded back past the center of the arena as he groaned in pain, his arms and legs down while Ratu looked up at the sky, his vision blurry before getting knocked out.

Glen blew the whistle, ending the match.

"Well this was the shortest match to date. Not to mention the first knock out since the tournament started." Johnathan stated.
"We would like to remind the audience that none of us at the Gladatorium condone child violence, the rules strictly states that the minor cannot compete in the tournament without the approval of a legal guardian. Since the child's legal guardian signed the terms and conditions of the tournament. He will be held responsible for the health of the minor, the infirmary will cover the injuries of the minor, but charges will not be held against the members of the tournament, that also includes staff members and other participants unless one of them violate the rules established." Eleanor reminded the viewers.
"While that being said what do the judges think about this?" Johnathan asked, before the camera showed Adrian.

"Every country, world, and dimension has its own set of laws. Though my cowrorkers and I only judge based on the performance of every fighter in the arena to assure they are not violating the rules established in this infrastructure. We at the Gladatorium consider this event as a sport, to create a friendly atmosphere despite the fights programmed here. Whoever threatens the safety of the participants will be removed from the establishment. We take the well-being of our guests very seriously and we will not take this lightly to whomever disrupts this rule." Adrian clarified on behalf of his coworkers and to the viewers watching.

Yin walked to the other side of the arena and lifted the unconscious boy and carried him, the elderly martial artist walked out of the arena, down the stairs and to the room where the other competitors were waiting before the nurses carried the boy.

"Worry not, I only blocked most of his nerves. He will be feeling numbness on his limbs once he comes to." Yin explained to one of the nurses. The back of Ratu's head, hair and clothing had sand while the child got taken to the infirmary.

"Up next in the Magic Division, Ryan and Ryo will go head to head. Summoner versus Elf. Who will win?" Johnathan announced.
"Later in the Melee Division: Shadow versus Stella. Who will be the most dominant? The Prehistoric or the Futuristic? Find out after the commercial break." Eleanor finished.

Shadow got hungry, she didn't worry about it much since she had a stash of human limbs to feed on, but once she opened it, it was empty. Blue, no doubt that she had a hand in it, especially if it was human hands.
"I can't wait to get out of the infirmary." Haeji sat up. Shadow looked at Haeji as if she would be her next meal before she shapeshifted into her human form. As much as she would like to accompany Haeji in her recovery, she had her own needs.
"My match will start any minute. Wish me luck." Shadow said as an excuse to leave the infirmary. Even in her human form she could smell the humans bustling around. The craving became stronger by the minute. She had to get back to her world before her instincts kicked in. "Hands." Shadow hissed at the sight of one while the receptionist typed in the password to activate the portal to Raptor Island. Shadow walked out of the portal in short strides before quickening her pace until she ran in her Indoraptor form, reaching up to 75 miles per hour.

A human girl with purple hair and piercing green eyes was keeping a low profile after her escape from the human trafficking from Relizia to the border. Her pale complection was noticeable from weeks of isolation. Just when she felt freedom, something goes wrong. As if a shadow followed her: being one of the slaver owners, the dinosaurs or the shapeshifting hybrids that are on the loose. Ever since a group of paleontologists managed to resurrect the dinosaurs, the scientific comunity ran wild, including the dinosaurs. After a band of dinosaurs ate the paleontologist and scientist that could reverse the effects, the human population reverted back to being the prey. The human population started to dwindle ever since. She still remembered how her family got enslaved, then devoured by the dinosaurs. During her confinement, she witnessed the cruelty and exploitation of her race, she made some friends, some maimed, some dismembered, one of them got sacrificed and eaten. Some slave owners were human themselves, they justified their allegiance for the sake of their own survival.

What kind of life is this? To be taken from our homes to be consumed by monsters. I can't wait to leave Raptor Island. The girl thought, while she waited for the ship to arrive. Shadow looked at the girl and salivated, licking her poisonous saliva from her lips and sharp teeth before her silhouettes shapeshifted into her human form, her dark tied into a ponytail, her dark caramel skin, sleek black shirt, dark red pants and her red eyes beaming at the sight of her prey as she sneaked up behind her. One day, I'll come back to this Island to face the ruler of Relizia and free my people.

"Leaving so soon?" Shadow asked before the human runaway turned to see another teenage girl, just like her. Though there was something off putting about her but can't describe what exactly.
"Who are you?" She asked before Shadow grinned, revealing her sharp teeth before that it dawned on her that she was one of the hybrids.
"Your shadow." Shadow's red eyes dilated before she bit the human girl's neck, sinking her teeth to her throat. The purple haired girl tried to pry Shadow away from her, but her body got paralyzed by the poison circulating through her cardiovascular system. Shadow took a bite out of the girl's neck, tearing her flesh. After taking a good look at her victim, Shadow consider taking her form while the girl's piercing green eyes stared in horror. Shadow used her sickle claw to break the girl's clavicle and used one of her bones as a sample to take on the girl's form. Shadow's dark hand radiated with a violet fiery glow before she crushed the bone with magic.

Shadow's human form changed from a dark complection to the spitting image of her victim. Long violet hair, pale light skin, and piercing green eyes. The last the victim saw was Shadow licking the blood from her lips before she died. She reverted to her Indoraptor form before dismembering the corpse with her sickle claw. She organized the  limbs and organs in her stash to replenish her supply.

"Have any of you seen Shadow?" Ripper asked. Suzanne shrugged while Indy shook her head.
"She's probably eating hands." Blue commented, while Suzanne licked the bowl of dried blood. Shadow walked up to the Raptor Squad with her new human form.
"Hey guys, I got fresh human limbs." The Raptor Squad looked at her quizzically before Suzanne sniffed at her like a bloodhound before Shadow turned back into an Indoraptor, giving an annoyed look.
"Yeah, it's her alright." Suzanne confirmed.

"What did I miss?" Shadow asked.
"Not much." Indy said.
"The mirror guy beat the bird girl, and the old man beat the kid with one strike." Blue said wagging her tail.

June had gotten out of the infirmary, patched up from the cuts: one on her cheek inches away from her right ear, one on her forehead, another one on her clavicle, one on her left forearm and another on her right arm, one on her hip, another on her thigh, and the last one on her calf.

Vilma glared at June from afar while the young blonde headed to where the other participants were, halfway around the hall she met up with Faim. The receptionist watched while the blonde fighters were talking. "I was going to visit you at the infirmary. Glad to see that you recovered quickly." Faim started.
"I was going to stay there until I received a notification from one of the judges. I passed." June replied with renewed vigor, just when she thought that she lost her chance to save her sister from her captors, the notification came to her as if it were godsend. "Now I have more of a reason to fight." June gave out a genuine smile.
"Careful, there is a chance that I'll be fighting you." Faim nudged at June before Eimy spotted him.
"Did I miss anything?" Eimy asked while she saw them in mild curiosity.
"Not at all," Faim said to her, "June, meet my sister. Eimy." June turned to see a woman wearing a colorful headscarf, a white blouse, a dark vest, an apron, baggy pants and zori shoes, though she had brown eyes and blonde hair like her brother.
"Nice to meet you," Eimy extended her hand before June did the same to give her a handshake. "I didn't get the chance to watch your match since I had to accompany my boss."
"It's fine." June replied while they released the handshake before Eimy put her hands in the pocket of her apron.
"How's your sister?" Faim asked.
"She's doing fine." June replied though she kept a straight face, she didn't want them to know about her situation.
"Did she come with you?" It was Eimy who asked.
"Not really." How was June going to tell them hat her own sister had been kidnapped for years and the only guarantee she has by freeing her is by winning this tournament.
"I was considering inviting the two of you to our place after the tournament, isn't that right, Eimy?" Faim suggested.
"Perhaps another time. It was nice knowing you, June. I have to find Dirlu before she finds me, see you later Faim." Eimy said before she went back to look for Dirlu.
"Later." Faim gave a dismissive wave at his sister. He knew that she was going to bail at the mention of inviting someone home.
No way I'm lettin' him “invite” another guest, I already have Mewmi mooching on the house for nearly 4 years now. I'm the one who does the cooking and cleaning, if Faim even tries to invite another guest over, either he pulls his weight in doing the chores or I'm moving out. Eimy thought as she looked for her boss.

S Penumbra brought Ruben II and Dirlu to Quinn's cubicle, Quinn was the new intern to work for the receptionists. Quinn's goal was to be in charge of administrating the Gladatorium's finances. Arrows's Administration, that was until Patricia took over the reception and got Samoht promoted at the reception, which S Penumbra could testify that Sam remained a lazy mook and had to keep her eye on him. Quinn could be a hyperactive cinnamon bun, though she was a bit of a chatterbox.
"Quinn, you got clients." The supervisor notified personally.
"Goodie! How may I help you?" The bubbly employee asked.
"I paid 4,500ğ on a wager and won, but this man still hasn't returned my money with interest." Dirlu said.
"With the foreign money I'm getting she's the only one whose given me these kinds of bills." Ruben showed the three 1,500ğ bills before he passed it to Quinn.
"Oh, yeah. Goung told me about the currency on his world..." Quinn recalled.
"How much is it?" The Cinnabarian asked her.
"Depends on the currency you have." Quinn stated before Ruben II took out the ₩50,000 bill, 650 rubles, 50 gules, a copper coin, and 3,000 turkish lyres.
"With the ₩50,000 bill you could get at least 1,200ğ; with the 650 rubles you could get 65ğ; the copper coin has no value, and the 3,000 turkish liras you have 485ğ. Leaving you a total of 1,750ğ. The only way you can raise the value of the currency to pay her is to convert it the rubles to liras, the liras to won and the won to euros. An euro is the equivalent of 2,600ğ; foreign currency is tricky at best." Quinn rambled while she converted the currency to what she could estimate was Ğ1.25 (it takes 10,000ğ to turn into Ğ1.) What Ruben received was 10,258ğ he gave the Ğ1 to Dirlu to get rid of her and Ruben stayed at the cubicle to negotiate with Quinn about converting the money to rories and gules.

A/N: Honestly, I don't care how inaccurate the numbers are, I just wanted to write how a fictional currency could play out compared to a real one, hence world building. Name one story other than this one that has tackled with fictional currency. I dare the naysayers and literary critics to mention a title.
