Note: There are a bunch of random stories I had written a few months back but was unable to share it here on Wattpad. Now that I am planning to write more random stories and work on the ideas I have been keeping pending since almost ages now, I thought it was better to share the old ones as well.

This one specifically was written somewhere in September 2018. As usual it's random and just for fun.

Side note, I will be re-arranging the parts ensuring bifurcating One Shots for different pairs separately. I don't want to create separate book for separate Pairing or each one shot. Too much of work. Not my thing.

Disclaimer: There will be few more coming your way shortly.

Sometimes, I just don't understand my father. Like for example, the day when Aditya, a devil in disguise enters our lives.

The way he stood at the door step, with a backpack on one shoulder while the other hand lay on the suitcase beside him. His disheveled hair bounced on his forehead, filming a thin layer over his eyes, he had his eyes trained at me. I shifted uncomfortably under his gaze. His eyes slid down the length of my body for a moment before it stared right back into my eyes. The twitch in his lips caught my attention and my eyes fell onto his lips. It seemed as if he was amused. I wondered, why?

No matter how innocent he tried to look, he reeked mischievousness. I stood there regarding him at the door step, when my father stepped in, "Oh! Aditya, please come in, beta!" To say I was stunned would be an understatement. My father, my Abbu would never be so warm and welcoming to someone until and unless he knew them personally and approved of them.

"Abbu," I whisper yelled to gain his attention while he brushed away my attempts. "Zoya, please get something for Aditya." I couldn't help but gape at him. On the other hand, Abbu signaled me to follow his instructions. I stormed out with the only nagging thought, 'Who the hell was this Aditya?'

Later, it turned out that he was Harshvardhan Uncle's son. Harshvardhan uncle and Abbu were childhood friends. But what shook me to the core were the words that Abbu declared,

"Aditya, you'll be staying with us."

Had it not been Noor who elbowed me in the gut, I would have been standing still for much longer. "Zoya," Abbu turned his attention towards me and continued, "show him the guest room and make sure he feels at home." Abbu smiled genuinely at him while he adorned a sheepish smile.

'Great!' I thought as Abbu had allocated him the room right across mine. Just freaking great! If that wasn't enough, I figured out that he had enrolled in my college, my class. I think the whole universe was plotting against me.

"Zoya," I glare at him in response. His lips press into a thin line while he tries to suppress his smile. That cheeky-bum! "Can you please pass me the bowl of pasta in red sauce?" he whispers ever so slightly as if he is unaware of everything around him. As if there was any other variant of pasta on the table. Such an unintentional move, I wished to retort.

"Sure," my jaws clenched as I uttered with my fists balled at my sides. The bowl was kept next to Noor but he had to ask me. I shrugged the thought away and grabbed the bowl, careful enough to not smash it across his head. He never left a chance to poke her.

As I handed him the bowl of pasta in red sauce, his hand held over mine. How much ever, I wished to strangle him then and there, I didn't wish to create a scene at the dining table with my family seated around us. He titled slightly into my seat before murmuring, "Thanks!"

I glanced back at the table and saw everyone enjoying their meals, as if nothing unusual was going around. of course, my Abbu wouldn't find a flaw in Aditya.

His not so straight words kept coming back at me. He was becoming more annoying with each passing day.

"The colour red really suits you," he had remarked as I climbed into his car. While buckling his seat belt he leaned into me and I caught a whiff of his cologne. Fresh, woody and musky. His minty breath splashed across my bare skin, leaving a trail of tingles. Even though my eyes narrowed at him, I felt the heat spreading across my cheeks. His words broke my trance, confirming my suspicion, "whether it's the dress you wear or the flush on your skin." Never can Aditya let go off of his mischievousness. No matter what.

I lay on the bed, on my stomach, with my books sprawled all over as I started to prepare for the test next day. A knock at my bedroom door, startled me. I glanced at the digital clock that read: 12:15 A.M.

Looking around, I shifted my weight on one elbow and found a dark figure standing at the door. My brows furrowed when I heard his voice, "Preparing for the test?"

"Yes?" I straightened myself as he walked in.

"Then I think, I will join in," he sat on the edge of the bed next to me as he added further, "we can prepare for the test together."

"I don't want to study with you," I snapped at him. Whatever I had expected was not the goofy smile that spread across his face. "Then what would you wish to do with me if not study," he suggestively offered and my eyes widened at that.

I slapped his arm, as he tried leaning into me, "You've been such a perv." I shook my head in disbelief and dropped my notebook onto his lap, gesturing him to study.

"If you think so," he winked at me before grabbing onto the book. His smile didn't falter even for a second and I scowled at the thought. If I was to defend my sanity, I had to keep him distracted with books and not me.

How I wish I knew what conspired in his brain while I tried to calm my nerved and concentrate on the words scribbled across the pages. But nothing lasted for long in his presence. I was unaware that soon my attempts would be crumbled or maybe I was getting myself into trouble, as I stared at the words I had mindlessly jotted.

Ways to distract Aditya Hooda.

While I certainly knew that the man himself was a big time distraction, I slipped the paper beneath the book and stared at him.
