Synopsis: Elowen Farstriker is a fourteen year old girl, living a simple life on a farm in Southdale. One day in the village, she begins to hear strange rumors of dragons, elves and other tales of the Old Days. She's heard all these before and thinks nothing of it, but when her parents' barn burns down with apparently no cause, her curiosity thrusts into the middle of an ancient battle between the forces of nature. And apparently, she's the only hope either side has of winning.
