First Day of Flukey's Ban....

On the first day of Flukey's ban from operations, he decided to spend the day at the hospital catching up with the head doctor since he hasn't seen or spoken to her in days and he had no doubt she'd be happy to see him. 

Countess opted to join him for support but he assured them he'd be fine on his own.

Inside the Ark, Flukey walked as he heard multiple conversations about what happened with the investigation and it seemed like no outside parties knew that it was Flukey who ousted one of the superiors, specifically Syuen, and got away with it.

Flukey further solidified his secrecy by wearing casual clothes instead of his Commander attire.

This successfully warded off any suspicions on him as he continued to make his way to the hospital but that didn't stop others from trying to learn the truth. 

One of these individuals being a short Nikke dressed like a detective singling out anyone and everyone and trying to get them to spill with no such luck. 

There was also another Nikke that was a shopaholic and vlogger of some sort informing everyone of the situation on her vlogs. 

Regardless Flukey was still in the clear and managed to avoid being caught by either Nikke and made it to the hospital. 

Flukey: *Sighs in relief* Finally I made it....

He headed to the front counter and asked if the head doctor was busy and if he could go see her. 

Luckily for him she was free and he was allowed to go see her and Flukey thanked them before he headed to her office where they told him she was. After a few seconds of walking, he knocked at the door and heard a "Come in" on the other side. 

Flukey opened the door and saw her.....Mary. 

Flukey: *Smiles* Hey Mary....

Upon seeing Flukey, Mary gasped and got up quickly before running towards Flukey with her arms out. Once she got close enough, she hugged Flukey tightly, his face mashed against her chest as he blushed red. 

Mary: Oh Flukey I missed you so much~! How've you been? 

Flukey: I've been good. 

Mary: You say that, but the recent events say otherwise. About how Syuen made you go up to the surface to capture a certain Rapture. Only to be saved by Absolute and avoid being discharged with the help of Mustang, Andersen, and Ingrid along with sticking it to Syuen by telling tidbits to Enikk. Is that the short summary of it? 

Flukey: Pretty much.

Mary: *Giggles* You've only been a Commander for a few days and you're already standing out. Though I'm just glad you made it out of that in one piece.

Flukey: Me too. 

Then Flukey noticed a picture frame on Mary's desk and it was of Flukey when he was younger. 

Flukey walked over to the picture and picked it up. 

Flukey: You still kept this picture? 

Mary: Of course. You look so cute in it. 

Flukey: Eh more like a crappy imitation of me trying to look cool. 

Mary: Well you certainly looked cool in my book. 

Flukey: Heh. Maybe. Though those were much simpler times before.....

Flukey trailed off as the memories started to come back and upon noticing this Mary placed Flukey's hand in hers as he looked at her and she looked back. 

Mary: I know Flukey....I miss them too. Not a day goes by where I don't think about them and wish they were still with us. 

Flukey: Y-Yeah....

From his body language, Mary deduced there was something much deeper wallowing within Flukey.

Something she wishes she could take away from him. 

Mary: What happened that day wasn't your fault Flukey. I know in my heart you did everything you could've possibly done. 

Flukey: I tell myself that all the time. Remind myself that there was nothing I could've done. But another part of me feels like....maybe I could've done something more or....I don't know. 

Mary, being a doctor and really good at what she does, understood perfectly what Flukey was going through as she's seen this same behavior in many others and stayed by his side to comfort him. 

After hours spent with Mary, Flukey left the head and started to make his way back to the Outpost and the only to get there in record time was by transit and so he took AZX to get back to the Outpost. 

The significance of the AZX was that it was the same train operated by Infinity Rail. 

Right now, Flukey was sitting on the train in silence while on his phone, playing some games to pass the time when he felt a presence near him and looked to see that it was Diesel.

Flukey: Oh uh hey. I didn't notice you there. 

Diesel: Oh you're fine. Judging from where you're going I take it you're the Commander stationed at the Outpost? 

Flukey: *Nods* That's right. 

Diesel: That's good to hear. I kinda didn't take you for a Commander given what you're wearing. Most Commanders are usually seen in their uniforms so they're easy to pick out. I only put two-and-two together with you because you were on your way to the Outpost and there was reports of a Commander stationed at the Outpost. 

Flukey: Heh. Yeah. I can see that being a dead giveaway. If I may ask, who are you? 

Diesel: Oh jeez where are my manners. I'm Diesel. 

Flukey: Nice to meet you Diesel. My name is Flukey though you can call me Commander if you want. 

Diesel: Okay then. Also I think it's nice to meet you too. 

Flukey smiled. 

Flukey: Thanks for that.

Then a door opened, revealing Soline. 

Soline: We are coming up to the Outpost Commander. 

Flukey: Cool.

Flukey got up and got ready to get off the train but before doing so he asked if he could meet the driver and Diesel didn't mind it as well as Flukey and Soline getting introduced. 

Flukey was escorted to the front where he could get a front view of the Outpost coming into view as well as seeing and meeting the driver of the AZX named Brid. 

Safe to say, Flukey had a nice introduction with Infinity Rail to the point that they exchanged contact info with him and he even said they were more than welcome to hang at the Outpost whenever they wanted to visit.

With that, AZX left and Flukey was back at the Outpost. 

Admittedly he felt kinda guilty that he didn't spend much time with Countess today but he swore he'd make it up to them tomorrow.
