Mehra mansion, 7:45 AM:

Neil and Ragini Mehra are outside in the front yard, sitting on a white round table having morning tea as they converse with each other.

"It seems like your son woke up." Ragini said jokingly, shaking her head fondly as suddenly a loud sound of someone playing the electric guitar came from inside the mansion.

"So he's only my son when he does something you don't like?" Neil asked with a chuckle.

"No, actually I like it very much because at least it wakes up your Princess, who would sleep for an eternity if we let her." Ragini said with a chuckle, shaking her head fondly.

"Hey now you have to stop blaming me for both of the kids' bad habits. They're your kids too, you know?" Neil asked in his defense.

"But in the bad habit department, they took after you." Ragini said teasingly, chuckling when Neil pouted cutely.

While inside Mehra mansion a girl is sleeping, while laying haphazardly on her bed, only to make an annoyed face, as she is woken by the loud sound of an electric guitar, sluggishly reaching for a pillow and covering her head with it to block out the sound but to no success.

"Oh God, all I ask is that just one day, just one day, I will wake up to the sweet sound of my alarm clock, rather than Bhai's so-called music." The girl, who was none other than Alia Mehra, said dramatically, joining her hands to pray, as she reluctantly got up from bed.

She then walked to her brother's room, which was right next to her, with an annoyed face wanting to put a stop to his pseudo-concert so that she could go back to sleep.

But as she opened his door, everything that she had wanted to say went out of the window, as she could tell that he was crying, even with his back turned to her.

"Bhai stop being 'Devdas' it doesn't suit you." Alia said jokingly to lighten her brother's mood as she entered his bedroom, causing him to stop playing his electric guitar.

"Oh, so the 'Sleeping beauty' is finally awake." The man said teasingly, as he turned around to face Alia after wiping away his tears, turning out to be none other than Abhishek Mehra.

"That's because 'Devdas' didn't let me sleep." Alia said jokingly, making Abhi smile a little.

"Okay now, come on let's go have breakfast." Abhi said as he put the electric guitar down, beginning to leave the room.

"Oh, actually I was thinking about going to sleep again." Alia said in all seriousness.

"Oh God, Mom's right, you would actually sleep for eternity... and no come on let's go." Abhi said shaking his head fondly, as he came back to stand behind Alia, so that he could grab onto her shoulders, leading her to the dining table.

"What's happening here? Are you two little kids again?" Neil asked with a chuckle as he and Ragini were now on the dining table having breakfast when they saw Abhi and Alia almost jog into the room, with Abhi holding on to Alia's shoulders as if they were a train.

"No, I'm just stopping this one from going back to sleep." Abhi said with a chuckle, as he sat next to Neil, and Alia sat next to Ragini.

"Bhai is so mean, first he forcefully wakes me up, and now he won't even let me go back to sleep." Alia said with a cute pout.

"Well maybe wake up like a decent human being, and you won't have to deal with this." Abhi said teasingly.

"Well maybe you act like a normal human being and not blast your so-called music in the early morning, and that too on a weekend." Alia retaliated.

"That's probably because in another galaxy, in another universe, somewhere he's probably a rockstar." Ragini said jokingly with a chuckle.

"You never know, I might be." Abhi said gloating, raising a nonexistent collar, making everyone chuckle.

"Well then I feel bad for the people of that universe, they've probably all gone deaf because of your so-called music." Alia said teasingly, with a chuckle.

"Come here you!" Abhi yelled offended as he got up to chase after Alia, going in circles around the dining table.

While Ragini facepalmed herself sharing a soft smile with Neil as they looked at their grown children who still acted like little kids sometimes.

"All your fault." Ragini whispered to Neil teasingly as Abhi was still chasing after Alia.

"Worth it." Neil said with a chuckle as he saw that Abhi had succeeded in catching Alia, and was now twisting her ear to get her to apologize, while Alia winced in fake pain, ever the drama queen.
