Hiccup's POV

I was in the forge putting the last few touches on one of the metal bows. I looked back over at the designs. I still can't believe Mercy made such an amazing creation.

"Proud of your little girl aren't you?" Allysa said from the doorway. I turned around and smiled.

"Very proud." I said happily. She smiled and sat on a stool.

"You know she's gonna grow up to be like you Hiccup. I can see it already."

"She does remind me a lot of myself when I was her age."

"Even Astrid says she's just like you. Everyone says she's like you. All she needs is a dragon."

"Oh come on did she tell you to say that?" I said. Once I said that I heard laughing from around the corner.

"You almost had it Allysa!" Mercy said between laughs as she walked around the corner. I laughed.

"You know your mother doesn't want you to have a dragon yet." I said once I started to calm down.

"Well what if I changed her mind." Mercy said proudly.

"Good luck with that one. Astrid is almost as stubborn as Hiccup." Allysa said.

"I'm not stubborn."

"Yeah you are." A voice said. Ah I always love hearing that voice. "But I'm stubborn too so it's okay."

"We're gonna leave you two alone. Come on Mercy I want you to tell me about that boy you were with yesterday." Allysa said and dragged Mercy towards her house.
