Hiccup's POV

"Me? Did he really think I would become this 'all mighty dragon slayer' or something?" I questioned.

"He did." Gobber began. "But when you were in the arena and said dragons didn't have to be killed, he thought differently." I raised my eyebrow. "He saw how much you took after Valka, and by the look on his face I knew he was full of worry. He thought you were going to be taken like Valka. And he couldn't loose the last piece of family he had." I sighed.

"I don't know what to say."

"Just go home Hiccup. Relax with your family." Gobber said with a smile as he pat my shoulder. I smiled and stood up.

"Thank you Gobber." I said as I turned and walked to the door.

Astrid's POV

"I think you should go Hiccup. It'll be so much fun. Everyone will love you."

"I can't Astrid. I can't miss anything here. I missed the first one and I don't want to miss the second."

"Hiccup if anything happens I'll be in good hands. I'll have the gang, Valka, Gobber and Mercy."

"But you wouldn't have me." I sighed and sat down and lowered my head to meet his eyes, which were staring at the floor. "Would you want Gobber to tell them to come here? We can get everyone to help prepare for them."

"Would it make much of a differnce?"

"Of course! You'll still be on Berk where you can reach me at all times. So you'll never miss a thing. Because I'll be right by your side." I smiled. He smiled and brought his head up.

"I can talk to Gobber and see if he can have everyone gather here. But I'll go over there later I just want to relax."

"Is something bothering you?"

"No it's just, I can't get what Gobber told me out of my mind."

"What did he tell you?"

"He told me this story that my dad always told me when I was growning up, and I guess my dad based the story off of what he thought would be future me." He stated. I could tell this was something he was deeply thinking about.

"Anything else?"

"He also told me that when I said we didn't have to kill dragons in front of the entire village, that my dad saw my mother in me. He filled with fear because he thought I was going to be taken too."

"Since you had the same opinion as your mom." I finished for him. He simply nodded. "Why is this bothering you?"

"I don't know." He sighed and sat down in a chair, looking down at his feet. "Maybe it's because he could've actually lost me."

"What?" I asked skeptically.

"Well, when you came to the cove that day and met Toothless," he started. He looked unsure about saying this. I nodded. "I was gonna run away."

"Hiccup what?! Why?!"

"I was going to take off with Toothless and find somewhere else to stay. Probably just an uninhabited island. I would've built a house and lived with Toothless for the rest of my life." He explained sadly.

"Hiccup that's completely-"

"Insane. I know." He finished for me. He sighed and looked up. "I just couldn't bear having to think about the shame my dad would feel when I couldn't kill a dragon. I had always been telling him I wanted to kill dragons and be a Viking and when I tried with Toothless, I- I just couldn't."

"Why didn't you tell me this sooner?" I questioned and placed my hand on his shoulder.

"I never really thought about it much. I always looked at the positives in my life, like you, Mercy, mom, the gang, Toothless, our unnamed soon to be son or daughter, everything that makes me happy. But sometimes, the negatives can come back."

"You can't go around them. Or under them. Or above them. Sometimes you have to go through the negatives. Even if it's hard. But just know, I'm here to help you through them. Okay?" He looked up at me, then embraced me in a deep hug.

"Thank you Astrid. You don't know how much I love you right now." I heard him whisper. I slightly smiled.

"And you don't know how much I love you." I whispered in response.

Allysa's POV (I think we should see what the gang does without Hiccup and Astrid)

"Ok what should we do today?" Fishlegs asked everyone.

"Um, we could dragon race." I suggested.

"No way. She cheats! Just like Astrid." Snotlout complained.

"Oh quit your whining you blubbering oaf." I sassed.

"Shut up Allysa." He mumbled.

"We could blow things up." Tuffnut said.

"Let's start with Snotlout's house!" Ruffnut shouted and the twins climbed on their dragon.

"No! My parents got really mad last time!" Snotlout shouted. Fishlegs and Meatlug walked over and stood next to me.

"Want to edit the book of dragons?" He asked me.

"Yeah it's at Hiccup's house though." I replied without taking my eyes off of the occurring fight.

"Can you go get it?"

"In a few minutes I want to see how this ends."

/~time skip~\

"Ok can you remember any dragons from your home island or the island you were imprisoned on?" Fishlegs questioned.

"I don't think there are any new ones. I've seen them all in the book already." I replied.

"Alright then I guess we're finished. For today, I mean." He stated.

"Okay so now that we're done doing nerdy things can we do something fun?" Snotlout complained from across the arena.

"You haven't even done anything." I said.

"I'm still bored though." He replied.

"How about we play 'throw Snotlout off a cliff'." I said and glared at him.

"I like that idea." Ruffnut stated.

"Oh would you guys grow up already." Fishlegs said.

"Yeah that doesn't really sound like fun." Tuffnut groaned.

"Totally sounds stupid." Ruffnut also groaned.

"And so did that sentence." I said and placed my hands on my hip.

"Hey guys. What have we missed?" Astrid greeted as her and Hiccup walked in.

"Nothing much really. Normal twins being stupid and Snotlout being arrogant." I replied.

"Okay I have had it with your snappy-!" Snotlout complained with an angry tone while walking to me, but was cut short when I placed my hand over his mouth.

"So yeah, nothing special." I added with a smug grin.

"So anyway. Gobber was officially able to move that party to Berk so we're expecting visitors starting at the end of this week." Hiccup announced.

"Oh awesome! Who are we expecting?" Fishlegs questioned.

"Lots of people from lots of places. I know one chief is bringing his entire family. Which I think is him, his wife, his 15 year old son and 10 year old daughter." Hiccup answered.

"Did I hear another 10 year old girl is gonna be here?" Mercy asked popping out of nowhere, making all of us jump.

"Yes. Another 10 year old girl will be here." Hiccup said once he caught his breath.

"Good because all of my friends are guys and it's getting on my nerves." She said and crossed her arms.

"They'll actually be the first ones here so be ready for visitors on Friday." Astrid stated.

"What's her name?" Mercy asked.

"Not sure. I think it began with a J. I don't know." Hiccup hesitated.

"Alright so do we need to make preparations? Like clean up the Great Hall or find open houses for them to stay in? What do yet have to do?" I asked.

"Twins, Snotlout and Fishlegs, go start cleaning the Great Hall with the other villagers. Astrid, Allysa, Mercy and I will find empty houses and clean them." Hiccup said. Everyone went to their dragons and flew off in separate directions.

Ugh this is going to take forever. There are a lot of houses on Berk how are we supposed to know which ones people live in? I guess we just knock on doors and see if someone answers. I mean how long could that take right? Forever. I gotta figure out a better plan.

"Hey you know I have a copy of the list of empty houses right?" Astrid told mess she walked up behind me.

"Oh that will be really useful thank you." I said and retrieved the list from her grasp. "So you excited to meet the wives of the other islands?"

"I don't know. I'm probably going to get a lot of questions about my pregnancy and then their going to say weird things like 'make sure it's a strong and healthy boy because that's what men want' or something. I mean seriously, I'm not here to please a man and Hiccup knows that. He gets what he gets." She replied.

"Ooh sasstrid." I joked. We both laughed.
