Karan headed towards their room, he saw through window, Preeta was crying so much.

"Pata hai preeta, Teri Shaadi me to sabse zyaada dance Mai hi karungi"

His voice filled with guilt and he stopped his words, he had committed almost a crime.

A crime in friendship, a crime to Best friend, a crime to all their promises.

Rakhi : Karan tune hame bataaya kyun nahi ?

Karan : mom main aap Sab ko tension nahi Dena chaahta tha, Sab already dad ki condition se it a stressed the. Aur main rishabh ko bataane waala tha, kyunki rishabh ne bhi Preeta ki haalat dekha tha subah me.

Rishabh thought of morning's incident when he entered their room mistakenly.

Karan : mom aap puchiye rishabh se kis tarah Preeta darr jaati thi, wo apne hosh me nahi rehti thi. Mom us Malik ne Meri Preeta ko pura badal Diya, wo kitni brave thi, wo abhi waisi nahi Rahi.

Karan was cursing Malik but he know he has also done the same to her, but not to that extent.

Everyone can easily sense the pain behind his words, guilt behind his curse and words behind his silence.

Rakhi keeps his hand on his hand.

Rakhi : Karan idhar dekh.

Karan looks up to her.

Rakhi : Mera cricketer beta itna weak thodi hai, tu to bohot strong hai beta, tu aise tutega to preeta ko kaun sambhaalega, aur tu guilty hai na Jo tune Preeta ke saath Kiya uske liye.

Karan nods his head with tears.

Rakhi : ha to apni guilt door kar, preeta ko uski Zindagi waapis dekar, sarla ji ko unki beti, srishti ko uski behen aur Preeta ko uski puraani khush Zindagi waapis dekar.

Rakhi's words gave Karan strength to overcome his weakness.

He nods his head in yes and then gave an assuring smile, everyone feels so happy seeing a genuine smile on Karan's face.

Dinner got over and everyone went back to their respective rooms.

Karan reached his room, he saw Preeta sitting near window leaning her head to pane, totally lost in her world.

"Tu agar aise tutega to preeta ko kaun sambhaalega, usse Teri zaroorat hai, yehi mauka hai aoni galti sudhaarne ka"

Karan took a deep breath.
Karan went and sit on couch, he kept a plate which was in his hand. He shooked Preeta. She came back to her sense with a jerk.

Preeta : ha Kya hua.

She saw Karan sitting there.

Karan : (softly) Khana khaa lo.

Preeta : nahi mujhe bhook nahi hai.

Karan took am morsel from food and kept it near her mouth. Preeta saw him.

Preeta : Maine kaha na mujhe nahi.....

Before she completed, Karan put the morsel in her mouth. She become shocked.

Karan : Kya hua khaao.

Preeta gulps it. Like that only Karan forcefully made Preeta eat whole food by distracting her like anyone use to do with small childrens. Food finally finished.

Preeta : (sighed) shukar hai khatam ho Gaya.

Karan giggled. He then take preeta's hand and take her to bed.
Preeta was confused.

Karan : so jaao.

Preeta : ha Kya ?

Karan : so jaao kaha Maine.

Preeta : lekin mujhe nind nahi aa Rahi.

Karan : accha neend nahi aa Rahi
(Preeta nods in no) thik hai koi baat nahi, mujhe hi fir tumhe sulaana padega aone tareeke se.

Preeta narrowed her eyes on his statement, then she remembers the incident when he took her in his arms, the night she denied to sleep.

Preeta widened her eyes.

Preeta : nahi nahi Mai khud so jaaungi.

Karan smirked, she immediately laid on bed. Karan sat beside her keeping his hand on her head, she closed her eyes.

She can't able to control now, she again open her eyes.

Preeta : Karan.

Karan : haa bolo.

Preeta : Karan mujhe Sach me nahi pata tha airaa ke saath aisa hoga, wo to Meri best friend thi (tearfully) us incident me Sach me Mera koi involvement nahi hai.

Karan : Preeta (he wiped her tears) Mai jaanta hu kuch bhi tumhaari wajah se nahi hua hai, mujhe Sab pata hai tum bilkul bhi tension mat love, main Hoon na tumhaare saath.

Preeta nods her head.

Karan entangled his hand with her's.

Karan : tum ek baar bas thik ho jaao fir ham milkar airaa ke khooni ka pata lagaayenge, aur use ekdum kadi saza denge. Ha

Preeta hummed in response.

Preeta closed her eyes fearly but karan tighten his hand's grip overs her. She relaxed a bit and soon drifted to sleep. Karan sighed seeing her.

Karan gave a soft kiss on her forehead and covered her with duvet, he also drifted in sleep sitting near her.
