Sabrina POV

       The doors were shaking. I looked at Ramira with fearful eyes. She looked so calm, so determined, as always. I didn't understand how. We were trapped, dead end, no where to go. A loud BOOM emits from the doors once again, making everything quake. She looks at me and I see the fierceness in her earthy brown eyes, and I know she can see the fear in mine.

      "Stay calm Sabrina. Trust me. Do you trust me?" She asks, cupping my face with both hands. I nod, my blonde hair falling from my braid into my face.

     "Of course. Always." I reply. She nods once.

      "Then run."
       "I am NOT leaving you!!"
       "You must."
      "You'll die!"
      "Yes. That is a total possibility. But you have to go Sabrina. I have dedicated my life to protecting you. You. Your life matters. Not mine."

       "It does to me!! You can't I won't let you!"

       "IT IS NOT A CHOICE!" She yells over the BOOM that shakes the building once more. My eyes fill with tears, blurring my vision. Then I blink and they spill over. Her gaze softens.

       "Shhh, don't do that don't...." She wipes one away and hugs me. "I promise I will find you. In this life or the next. I will come for you."

     Then I am being shoved towards the back wall, and she presses a small bird on the carving there. A door slides open to reveal a dark tunnel.

       "Go!" And Ramira is pressing a cloth in my hands, and pushing me into the tunnel. I spin around to face her.

       "Ramira!"

      The door is closing. "I'm sorry Blondie!" She says, in a broken voice. She's crying. My heart pangs and then she is gone. The entry sealed, leaving me in darkness all but for the thing glowing inside the cloth. Clutching it to my chest I run. Run into the inky black shadows.
