Mel and I were school sweethearts
Dated till four years after college
Knowing each others private parts
Until I encountered certain knowledge

Cheating with Paul for the final stand
The depth of sadness she did discover
nightly suffering the back of his hand
Becoming a mother and no more his lover

I on the other hand got with her friend
We set each others hearts abuzz
Whether cupid's revenge or a godsend
I found love right where I was
