"CONGRATULATIONS!!!" The MC exclaimed. He struck a dramatic pose and slowly flicked up his brown hair. He also had sparkles around him.

"OUR WINNERS HAVE WON A ROOM AT THE LAVARIDGE HOT SPRING HOTEL FOR SOME RELAXATION. GIVE IT UP FOR OUR WINNERS!" The MC said enthusiastically. The small crowd politely applauded.

"OUR WINNER'S WERE THE 10TH COUPLE THAT WALKED IN, CELEBRATING THE 10 YEAR ANNIVERSARY OF THIS STORE OPENING!!" He shouted as he handed the two tickets to Drew and May.

"I think you've made a mistake, we're not-" Drew tried to cut in to set the sparkling man straight. The man did a little pat on Drew's head.

"HOW MODEST!! HOWEVER THE NUMBERS DON'T LIE! ENJOY YOUR TRIP!" The man exclaimed before all the colored lights immediately shut off, and a large group of workers came running to roll the stage away. A fire Pokemon was released to burn the rest of the confetti. With a few seconds, it was as if nothing happened, except for the tickets in May and Drew's hands.

"Well, let's not waste them!" May giggled. Forgotten to both of them, their connected hands from when May dragged him inside.

+++++++++++++++++++++++++

"We're here!! I'm so excited!" May squealed happily, a bright smile on her face. Drew rolled his eyes at her as they walked in through the automatic doors. They entered a small cozy lobby with two couches against each wall facing each other. Both had a coffee table with magazines strewn about. An elderly man occupied the couch to their left, closest to the entrance. He was absorbed in a magazine through rectangular glasses. The room opened up more and against the right wall was a reception desk. A lady stood there on the phone. A middle aged man came out behind a door into the space behind the desk and called them over.

"How may I help you two?" He smiled. He had kind chocolate brown eyes. The skin around his eyes were crinkled, like he smiled a lot. Drew presented the two tickets from his pocket.

"We won these," was all he said as he placed the tickets on the reception desk. He looked at the dates on the ticket, and realizing they matched, began typing in his computer.

"You two will be in room 213. It's on the second floor. Your checkout time is tomorrow at 11am," He said, handing them two room keys.

"If you need anything, we'll be happy to help you here at reception!" He said kindly.

"Thank you," May replied.

"Enjoy your stay," the man said.

"Thank you, sir," Drew said as they headed towards the elevator. Drew pressed the up button and a few seconds passed before the metal doors opened with a "ding" noise. They entered the elevator and May quickly slapped the 2 button before Drew could. He rolled his eyes at her childishness. After a moment, the doors opened with another ding to the second floor. May went tearing out the wrong direction.

"Hey Spatz, room is this way," he called to her. She huffed and turned around coming towards him.

"Jerk," she whispered to him as they walked passed a couple doors before their own. Drew slipped the keycard out of his pocket and unlocked the door. As they walked in, they noticed one, huge, crucial thing. There was one bed. Both grew red in the face, and turned their heads away from each other.

"We'll uh, deal with this later. For now, I'll change in the bathroom and you change in here so we can spend some time in the hot springs," Drew said, heading into the bathroom. May blinked before opening her bag and digging around for her swimsuit. Finding it, she pulled out her plain red bikini. Nothing crazy about it just a normal pair of bottoms, and a top that hooked together in the back, and tied around her neck. Nothing special. She was in the middle of tying her top strings around her neck when she heard Drew's voice.

"Can I come out now?" Drew asked.

"Sure," May replied. He stepped out right as she did her last loop. He forced the lump down that hitched in his throat at the view of her. He didn't seem to notice how May's eyes were glued to his bare chest. She blinked, as the room was getting hotter. Her face heated up in realization, but she quickly turned away and slipped on shorts and a t-shirt while Drew slipped on a black t-shirt. May just then noticed his trunks were green. She occupied herself with grabbing her towel, sunblock and room key.

"Let's go!" She said, slipping on her flip flops. Drew followed after her, shutting the door behind them. After navigating through the resort the found the famous Lavaridge Hot Springs. The pool deck was very large. Enough for a lot of people to be spread out comfortably. It didn't seem too crowded, and there were several lounge chairs open. May and Drew claimed two vacant chairs next to each other under an umbrella. May pulled out her sunscreen.

"Hee hee," May giggled. Drew turned to look at her.

"Drew, make sure you put some sun screen on or else you'll look like a human strawberry!" May teased.

"So you're saying I'll look appetizing," he grinned mischievously at her. May's face flushed red.

"No, I-I-I mean, that you'll be ask red as one... Plus your hair," May said nervously. During the exchange, both had already started lathering up with the lotion. May quickly realized she couldn't get her back. She turned shyly over to Drew.

"Ummm... I can't get my back.. Could you help me? Please?" She squeaked. Drew's expression became amused as a sly smile crept its way onto his face.

"Sure, I'll take care of it for you," he grinned. May wasn't prepared for the cold lotion to hit her back, and the strong hands that gently began rubbing. May turned into the strawberry. After about one torturous minute, they were done, or at least May was.

"Maaaay, I'm afraid I need the same favor," he sung. Her strawberry blush grew deeper into an deep red. May pumped a glob of sunblock on her hand. She started to rub it in and was definitely not distracted by him at all, not his toned muscles. Nope DEFINITELY not. After another minute, the sunscreen situation was finally over.

"That was so embarrassing!" May squirmed as she scooted over.

"Don't worry about it, most of the people here are young couples," Drew pointed out. He was right, there was another young couple sitting diagonal from them. The girl was rubbing sunscreen on the boy's back.

"Yeah but still, we're not a couple, we're partners!" May whispered.

"So what? We're close," Drew shrugged it off like it was nothing. May twiddled her fingers around each other.

"We have to wait for our sunscreen to set," May stretched, laying back in her chair.

"Would you like something to drink?" Drew asked.

"Yeah, water would be great," May said. She tried to look away from him as he stood up. A light blush dusted her cheeks. He walked away leaving May frustrated.

"Stupid hot Drew! I'm worse than his fangirls, ogling at him!" She murmured quietly. She sat up and pulled her legs to her chest. She buried her face to her knees and kicked her feet. "Snap out of it!" She chastised herself under her breath.

"Hello there," a cocky voice called. May unraveled herself.

"Umm.. Hi?" May responded curiously. There was a brunette boy with brown eyes, his chest revealed and wearing black swim trunks with two red stripes on both sides. Still, he couldn't compare to Drew. Her mind of course had to run back to him in every moment.

"What's a pretty girl like you doing out here by yourself?" He gave a flirtatious smile. May wasn't prepared for that sort of pestering.

"U-Um, excuse me?" May asked, befuddled.

"I just walked in and happened to see you, all alone, a brunette beauty! I couldn't stop myself from coming over," he said. May didn't like his attitude. He had the aura of too much arrogance, like she should be happy he graced her with his presence. She should kiss the ground he stood on because he was man gold. She felt her blood boil as he fixated his eyes on her chest. She crossed her arms over it as he slithered closer. She was extremely uncomfortable.

"Why don't we get out of here? We can go back to my room and-" He was cut off.

"Hey bub, leave her alone would you?" Came a familiar voice. May sighed internally in relief.

"Finders keepers man, I saw her first," the guy said with a smirk. Drew's cold jade eyes stared the boy down. Drew set the glasses of water down and stood tall over the brunette boy.

"Finders keepers? Well then, get lost 'cause she's with me," Drew growled. The boy laughed awkwardly before turning and leaving, not before sending a wink at May.

"You okay?" Drew turned to her, his expression concerned. May clenched her shaking hand into a fist.

"Yeah, I'm alright. What a jerk!" She spat. She picked up her water and took a generous angry slurp.

"Guys like that make me sick. No respect at all," Drew huffed.

"Wow Drew, what a real man," May teased.

"Uh wow, you're welcome," Drew said feigning hurt.

"Thanks," May said seriously.

"You're welcome, I hate people like that," Drew leaned back in his chair.

"We shouldn't have too much longer until our sunscreen sets in," May yawned.

"Yeah, luckily it's a nice day, not too hot for the springs," Drew commented. May sneaked a peak at him out of the corner of her eyes, appreciating the view. Unfortunately for her, Drew caught her.

"I know, perfection such as this is hard to come by," he joked.

"I-I wasn't staring at you like that! We were in a conversation so I was looking at you!" May lied quickly, retreating her gaze from him. Her heart was racing. She had been caught. She hated the feelings she had for her partner.

"What are you getting so defensive for?" He raised an eyebrow at her. "It's just a joke," he teased. May huffed.

"It's bad to let you go around with your head inflated, I had to make you let out a little air,"

"Gee, how thoughtful of you," he deadpanned as he moved his arms to cushion his head. May stood up and walked in front of the lounging boy. She grabbed his hands as his eyes opened and began trying to pull him up.

"Let's get in the water Drew," May grunted, ultimately failing to lift the boy up.

"Only if you can get me up," he taunted.

"Ugh! You're awful!" She exclaimed after another failed attempt. He chuckled at her. How dare he look so cute while annoying her! Finally it seemed he decided to help her. She was able to get him up. Unexpectedly, he yanked on her hands, drawing her closer until she's pressed against his chest. Time slowed down as he let go of her hands and snuck them to her waist. May was on fire. Then without warning, he lifted her up and slung her over his shoulder.

"Drew!! You jerk! Put me down right now!!" She squealed, kicking her legs in protest.

"Sure thing!" She didn't need to see his face to know he was smirking. Suddenly, she was falling. Until she hit warm water. She held her breath at the last second. She broke the surface coughing and gasping for breath.

"You're the worst!" May whined. She couldn't help herself from breaking out into laughter.

"Only to you," he winked as eased himself into the water. She punched his chest playfully.

+++++++++++++++++++++++++

"Is pepperoni good?" May asked, her voice muffled by the door in between them. Drew rubbed his sopping wet hair with a towel.

"Sounds good!" He replied back. She seemed to bounce back from everything so quickly. He could still feel the burning rage towards that entitled boy. The thought of May being swept away from him rubbed him the wrong way. The really wrong way. That alone could eat him up entirely from the inside.

He prided himself in being decently generous, but when it came to May, he didn't know how to share, granted he didn't think she should be shared at all. Then when she was against his chest, he could really feel her skin. He decided it was dangerous to be so close to her.

He finally stepped out of the bathroom. She was sitting on the king sized bed, her hair wet from when she showered before him. She had on maroon exercise shorts and an oversized gray t-shirt. Her skitty was laying next to her, calm for once.

"Room service will bring it up when it's done," May smiled cheerfully. Suddenly her stomach howled in protest. She turned red in embarrassment.

"I hope you can wait a little bit longer," Drew chuckled.

"Smartallic," she murmured.

"What was that Dog Ears?" Drew asked provocatively.

"You want to go Grasshead?" She fired back. Her eyes bore into his for a few seconds before they broke into laughter. The two conversed for awhile, May stroking her Skitty gently as the kitten let out satisfied purrs. Oh how Drew was jealous of that cat, taking her full attention off of him, enjoying her attention way too much. Suddenly, their conversation of future appeal combinations was interrupted by a knock on the door.

"Pizza Delivery!" A voice called from behind the door. May hopped up, disturbing the relaxed cat and paid the deliverer. Drew sighed as she brought the box over.

"You didn't need to pay for it," he complained.

"Yeah well I wanted to," May said stubbornly as she opened the box between them. They sat down on the floor and enjoyed their meal. May got pizza sauce in between her cheek and the crease of her mouth. Before he even realized, he reached over and wiped it off with his thumb, retreated back to his prior position.

He wiped his thumb on a stray napkin and proceeded to pretend like nothing happened. However the two couldn't look each other in the eyes, it would convey too much, so the two avoided the others gaze, their faces red.Their conversation carried on, but the two still didn't look each other in the eyes.

They talked some of the night away and played card games. May's mom insisted she should bring them on her adventure, (a good thing because he enjoyed the competition of May.) After she demolished him in a round of Uno, they finally decided to go to bed.

He just wanted to go to bed so he wouldn't keep getting schooled by her. He swore she was shuffling the deck to her advantage. Call him a sore loser. That's when the realization dawned on him. Again.

There was only ONE bed.

He guessed they had forgotten in their focus on the games.

"So what are we going to do?" Drew asked cautiously.

"We have no choice but to share, unless you want to sleep sitting up in that dinky chair in the corner," May said. Drew sighed. Unfortunately she was right.

"But it's a king size so there should be enough space!" May said positively. She grinned at him and his heart thumped in response. On both sides of the bed there was a nightstand, and each had a lamp. Both were on as the two got in. How relaxing, the girl he liked was laying about a foot away from him. That was good for his heart. Against his better judgement, he rolled over and to his surprise, she was looking right at him. The lamp casted a golden glow over her face. Their eyes met. Blue and green, searching for an answer to their feelings.

"It's weird, we can put our sleeping bags right next to each other, but if we share, we have more space between us," May whispered. Drew gulped. She was close enough for him now. He got up and turned his lamp off to distract himself from her.

"Oh yeah, I almost forgot," May said sheepishly. She got up and turned her lamp off. The two situated themselves in the same position. Facing each other. Their eyes were beginning to get used to the dark. He could see her outline and the way the covers moved around her. They just layed there, in the darkness, staring at each other.

"Can you... Move closer?" She asked, her voice barely audible. Drew suppressed a heartsick groan. He complied and moved himself closer to her. He was so going to regret this.

She reached out and gripped his t-shirt, pulling herself closer to him. She wrapped her arms shyly around his waist and entangled her legs with his. Oh boy did he regret this. Drew was having a full on panic attack inside at her closeness. She rested her head against his chest. Going on an impulse, he wrapped his arms around her, pulling her even closer. He could smell the hotel soup coming from her.

"Hey Drew?" She looked up at him, her eyes curious.

"Y-Yeah?" He gulped.

"When did we stop being rivals?" May whispered, searching for something in his reaction.

"Well, when we became partners. We can't be rivals if we're partners," Drew laughed softly.

"Of course, right. What's next though? After this year's Grand Festival is over, and there are no more partner contests, will we just be rivals?" May pondered, concerned.

"You're not just my rival though," He said sincerely. May's eyes sparkled. "You're also one of my closest friends," Drew said straight forwardly. "But that won't stop me from going all out against you in contests!" He said competitively. May giggled.

"Thanks," she said, snuggling into him, his heat output soothing her. They lay like that for a few minutes, just comfortably embracing.

"H-Hey Drew? I-I.. I don't think... Being friends is e-enough for me..." May murmured so softly Drew could barely make out what she said. He immediately went red.

"W-What?" He asked, surprised.

"O-Oh it's.. n-never mind!! I-It was stupid anyway!!" She said nervously. Her voice sounded forced.

"May..." He said softly.

"What I meant was.. Um.. I wanted to uh.. Be best friends! Yeah.. That's it!" She said quickly, her voice was breaking, like she was trying not to cry. He put his palm on her head and rubbed it around a little bit, playfully. Her hair did not appreciate the gesture.

"May?" Drew asked.

"H-Hm!!" She said stiffly.

"Just shut up," he said lightly. May squeaked. He gently moved his hand up to cup her cheek. He wiped a stray tear with his thumb.

"Why are you crying?" He asked sweetly.

"Oh, it doesn't matter anymore," May sniffled.

"But you mean a lot to me, May, it does matter," he said.

"I'm okay!" May smiled. The falseness of it showing through to the surface. Drew brought his other hand up to hold her vacant cheek. His green eyes stared into the sapphire ones staring intently back. His eyes had broken down his barrier to reveal the adoration in his gaze towards her.

"Hey May," Drew said confidently.

"Y-Yeah?" She answered swiftly. A smirk grew on his face as he moved in to whisper in her ear.

"I don't want to just be friends either. I want to be way more than that," he confessed, leaving the girl a blushing, and uncomprehending mess. He retreated his face from the side of her head, full on facing her again. He quickly wetted his lips.

"C-Can I.. Kiss you?" He asked hesitantly. May's blush depended as she gave a small nod in allowance. They leaned in, tilting their heads naturally to the right.

Finally their lips bushed against each other, teasing for what was to come next. May shivered from the bottom of her spine up. Finally their lips official melded together. It wasn't unbearably dry, but it wasn't really wet either. The kiss was innocent until they broke for air.

Drew had to restrain himself from stealing another kiss from her, but May had other ideas. She pulled on his shirt, bringing him down. She reestablished the kiss, but it was different from the last time. Egged on by her boldness, Drew pressed harder against her lips and began to move his lips against hers. May moved her hands up to Drew's hair and was gripping and running her fingers through it. Drew snuck his arms around her lower back and pulled her against him.

The kiss kept heating up, a searing passion unleashed from all tension built up between them. Finally, they broke apart, their lungs screaming for breath as their heartbeats pounding in their heads. Drew tentatively rested his forehead against her and closed his eyes. They fell asleep in each other's embrace. Not knowing exactly what they were, but there was a change in the air. A split path being forged into one.

*wipes of sweat from forehead* Wowzers. THIS TOOK FOR FREAKING EVER T^T T^T. It's my longest one shot other than the A to Z collection. I put a lot of hard work into it and I hope it's good >~<.

Also, thank you guys soooo sososososo sooooo much for over 150 followers! I couldn't do it without your support and I mean it!!

Also I'm thinking of redesigning this cover (with the same picture) to make it look better because the words are ugly to be honest. Since this is my best story, I want to make her look beautiful you know?

Anyways, I'm going to try and start soon on writing chapter two of Silenced and Shattered so those will be out probably in about a month or two. This one shot took so much out of me.

I'm a really casual writer and it took me, after an initial 800ish words I had written from like January 3rd or something like that to January 28th. That's how much I got done, then I got lazy and life happened. Then this week I decided to add to it a bit cause I needed to get it out and that it would be decently long. Holy cow. It took about four, 1 hour sessions over these past few days just to finish this behemoth.

Anyways, I hope you all enjoyed! Until next time!!
