I should have seen it coming. I should have known that he would protect me at all odds. I didn't realize how I felt about him even after he confessed and kissed me. Now, I can't stop crying.

He's on the ground with gashes and scratches. One particular large one across his torso where he took an air slash. Though there was one wound different from the rest, in his left chest area, a gaping hole resided. HE had shot him. After all that had happened. Now, I can't take my blurry eyes off of his lifeless form. I realized too late that I didn't like him, I loved him, and I needed him.

I hovered over his body, waterworks not stopping. Hopelessly shouting his name. I should have known that's how our story would end. Just like it always does. Then we will be forced to die again and again, until one day, we can finally be together. Then, I woke up. Then came the tears again. Thank Arceus it was just a dream. Who knows though with everything that has happened, what it could mean...

I got this idea for it, but then I was like, nah, I'll do something else, so this was a scrap idea that I added some love stuff into and made it a one-shot. I enjoyed writing this because I love writing in first person but, I feel like it's better with writing if you do it in third. Anyways, thanks for reading!
