Zoya's morning had been full of back to back meetings, phone calls and new court dates added to her diary. It was only on her lunch break that she got the chance to take a breath away from the hustle and bustle of work and think about her morning. Her husband had acted normal- if such a thing existed- had her coffee ready after his workout, helped her find her most cherished diamond earrings and had hardly spoken to her, which wasn't exactly unusual or out of character, so perhaps she was just overthinking? She wouldn't have questioned it before, but after what had happened it just seemed so weird. It was said that normality is the great neurosis of civilisation and she couldn't agree more, especially since what she knew to be the norm had become so abnormal in her daily routine.

It wasn't that she wanted him to sweep her off her feet and give her a kiss goodbye that would linger on her lips throughout the day, but after he'd suggested adding intimacy to their bond, she had kind of expected more from him, at the very least a hug of some sort that would reassure her that they were okay, that last night hadn't been the biggest mistake of her life.

It wasn't healthy to worry this much about losing someone, she knew that, but it didn't exactly make much of a difference. Yes, she could have kissed him or hugged him, but that wasn't in her nature, she'd never been shy in front of him before, yet now even thinking about him sent her into a hot flush. If she was honest, she missed their usual, she missed the days where losing him wasn't a daily thought and messing up what they'd made so well wasn't a daily occurrence, but most of all she missed her best friend, the one who would always know what to say or do to wipe away her worries, concerns and fears with the drop of a hat. Swiping her thumb over the call button, she sighed heavily and threw her head back, it wasn't a good idea, she never called him like this and it would only seem clingy if she called after the events of the night before.

"Hello?"

Jumping up straight at his voice, her eyes shot open "A-Aditya?"

"That is who you meant to call, right?" He teased. "Is everything okay?" The last time she'd called him in his work hours it was because she'd broken her ankle and needed someone to take her home and even then she'd been hesitant. His keys were in his hands before she could say anything more "Do you need me to come and get you?"

"No, no" she reassured, "Nothing like that". Okay, if she didn't make this seem like a big deal then he wouldn't either. Afterall, fate was clearly not on her side since she'd managed to ring him even though she'd decided against it, so she had to have her own back, nobody else would. "Just on my lunch break, bored".

"Oh, okay" Aditya sounded confused. Sitting back down, he frowned "Was there something you wanted to talk about? It's just I'm a bit busy here and-".

"No, no you go" hitting her forehead quietly, she swore under her breath. God, she was such a fool.

"Zoya" he sat up, "Is this about the list?"

"The list?" Exactly what did that have to do with her calling? "I don't follow" and this time she wasn't just acting dumb.

"Dirty talk" he husked, tone suddenly a lot more sensual as he whispered into the mic.

"Oh uh" if she said yes he wouldn't find it weird, if she said no he would, but was she ready for that? Maybe it would be easier if she couldn't see him? But it would surely add something to their dynamic that she would also have to deal with. "We can do that, if, if you like" her face was on fire at this point, he was already hard to resist now, this definitely wouldn't help her stay away.

"If you like" Aditya shut the door, placed the phone off the hook and tightened his grip around his mobile. "Do you want to?"

She hated how he always made her say it, but it certainly made her respect him a lot more. "Yes".

"Tell me what you're wearing" he ordered, fingers unbuttoning his first few shirt buttons.

"But you saw this morning" her brows met.

"I meant what are you wearing underneath" he chuckled, the sound warming her as if he was sat right beside her.

"That lingerie set I bought three months back" her mouth was as dry as anything, unfortunately, she couldn't say the same for the space between her legs. "The red one" exhaling loudly, her nails clipped the desk.

Shutting his eyes, his tongue drifted across his lip "I dream about you wearing that often".

Zoya's eyes almost popped out of her skull "You, you do?"

"Uh-huh, wanna know what all my other dreams are?" His smile was coy, he so liked to tease her to the point of her being unable to manage her own curiosity.

That seemed like a safer topic "Sure".

"You not wearing anything at all" he could imagine her squirming in her seat at this point. If there was one thing he knew well, it was her and she never did anything she didn't want to do, although she seemed scared, if she didn't like it she would've put the phone down by now. Aditya had to tread this path gently, not coax her too far or she'd shut down and refuse to try again, he already knew this was such a big ask and the implications were huge, so he'd take it as steady as he could. "How does that make you feel?"

"Good" she breathed out loudly, "Cherished".

"So, you like that I dream about you?"

Biting harshly on her lip, she moaned out a "Yes".

"I love it when you make those sounds" he growled, "You have no idea what it does to me".

"What, what does it do to you?" Her eyes shut, she was kind of new at all of this, on the other hand, he seemed like an expert and that kind of annoyed her, one because he didn't seem awkward like she did and two because the idea of him doing this with anyone else bugged her.

"It makes me want to bend you over my desk and have my way with you" he sat up a little more.

"Uhh" her throat became horse, "Aditya".

"Oh, fuck" his voice was guttural as his breaths became heavier in her ear. "You don't know how much I want to taste my name on your lips when you say it like that".

Her legs squeezed together at his words.

"Uncross your legs, Zoya, I want you to feel all of this".

Doing as she was told, Zoya tried to hide the blush blooming on her cheeks. He knew her so unbelievably well, it was terrifying.

"Are you touching yourself?"

Her hand on her thigh dropped immediately "N-No" how did he know? "Are you?"

"Yes," his answer travelled to her with urgency.

"Oh, God" pushing her palm down on the arm of the chair, her toes curled as her body lifted.

"Will you touch yourself for me?" Aditya wanted them to reach their release together, he wanted to hear her cum for him and one day he wanted to hear her cum because of him.

"Okay" delving her fingers beneath the band of her underwear, she gasped "Holy shit" her breath released in pants as she lost herself. "Aditya, please" she was begging, but for what she wasn't sure.

"What do you need?"

Tears stung her eyes as emotion overcame her "You" leaning forward, a quiet groan of exasperation filled the air.

An inescapable growl slid through his grit teeth "Fuck, Zoya" her one-word answer resonated within him till he could no longer contain the sounds he made or the pace of his fist.

"Fuck me" she hissed from the wave of pleasure washing over her.

"Oh" he laughed throatily, "I intend to" then he hung up leaving her in a blissful state of satisfaction.

Daniel peered around the door "All okay? Thought I heard you scream".

"Uh-huh," she stood up, grabbing onto the table to stabilise her wobbly legs. "Just need a bathroom break then back to work" she walked slowly past him, smile tight.

"Anyone would think you've been up to something dirty" he nudged her playfully, hands smacking his cheek as he saw her expression, "Oh my God, you have".

"Shh," Zoya pulled him down to her height.

"Oh, you are a naughty girl, didn't know you had it in you" waggling his brows, he leant toward her ear, "Was it because of that hot piece of cake you call your husband?"

"Well, who else would it be because of?" Her hands met her hips in annoyance.

"Well I don't know, you're only friends, I didn't know things had changed".

Her face dropped "They haven't" she spoke sternly. Patting down her hair, she turned on her heel "Get back to work, Danny".

"I've said the wrong thing, haven't I?" He tended to walk around with his foot in his mouth- but he had never messed up with her, well, until now. "I'm sorry, Zoya, it's really none of my business, I shouldn't have even asked".

She smiled kindly "It's okay, go get me a coffee and some cheesecake and I'll forgive you" winking at him, she sauntered away.
