Chapter 31: What do you think of this scenario?

She is really gone. I sigh. I lay my back on the pillow. I stare at the white ceiling because I can't do anything else here.

Minutes already passed when I heard a footsteps approaching my room. This time it's a lot clearer maybe because of the heels. I didn't pretend to be asleep again. Instead, I sit down properly and fix my messy hair a bit.

The door swung open and it turns out that it is Mrs. Margaux Rivera. Like the usual, she always walk with class. Her look is still the same, no more and no less. She didn't bother to smile but she approaches me slowly this time.

"How I pity you, darling," Mrs. Margaux said as she stops approaching me.

I didn't change my expression. Pity me all you can, I don't give a damn.

"Your entering gymnastics, right?" she said while smirking.

I nod my head once and behave again.

She chuckled. "By the way, I am going to assign you as last contestant because of this. I don't want you—"

"Mrs. Margaux, I am alright," I said to cut her off. "I can handle the competition very well. I don't need special treatment. It is unfair."

"Darling, it's not unfair nor special treatment. I want you to be the last because I know you'll win. Save the best for the last, right?" she said with a intensity on her voice.

I went home yesterday after I talk to Mrs. Margaux. I didn't interfere with her decision again because she is persuasive. I know that if I happen to hit her nerves, I'll be in grave danger. For now, I have to keep myself on track so that I can save my friends first.

When I got home, everyone is in the living room. There was no sign of shock nor nervousness in their faces. They just hug me and everything became normal for me.

Currently, I am in my private cabin inside the gymnasium. Today is my competition in rhythmic gymnastics. I am want supposedly be in fencing completion but this happens.

I am still reading the list that Heartle gave me. I suddenly chuckle when I saw Oliver's name on a e-sport competition. He really loves everything about technology, isn't he? Then, I saw Heartle on the archery contestants list. She pick what she loves too. Few minutes later, I saw Loris' name in muay thai competition. A chuckle can't help but to escape on my mouth. Loris hates fighting for no reason but why is he entering? I shake my head. Now, I wonder why didn't Heartle ask me about mine?

My eyes widened in an instant when I saw my name on the list. I glance at Heartle and she is looking at me with a victorious smirk on her face. I slant my head a bit and glared at her. Why would she put me in the rhythmic gymnastics?

"What?" she said while looking away.

"Stop acting innocent, Heartle. I saw a motive in your face," I said as I let my back feel the wall.

She laugh. "You are a good gymnast! You did a routine in the middle of a mission, right" —she glance at Oliver— "Oliver?"

Oliver didn't bother to look at us but he raised his thumps up. Heartle slant her head a bit and smirkes at me.

"You should have put me on the fencing competition," I said while rolling my eyes.

She chuckle. "Check the list out." I immediately started checking it out. "Are you ready to fight with..."

"Theo," I mumbled when I saw that name.

I am done with my makeup and I am wearing my costume as well. I am done doing some stretches and I already reviewed my routine. I am just patiently waiting for my name to be called. I'll be using a ribbon.

The door opens and a staff entered. "You are the next, Miss."

I nod my head and stood up. The staff left me while I grab my ribbon. I started walking and eventually left my room. When I am already out, the other girls are chatting. They shared about their experiences or more likely bragging with their experiences.

I shake my head and proceeded.

"Let's welcome Estelle Clemence!"

I started walking like a true gymnast. I proceeded into my spot and kind of smiled. I brace myself and then the music started playing after.

I gracefully pointed my ribbon on the floor and made some circular motions. I heard the audience starts clapping as I lift the ribbon into the air. I bow my head and sway my ribbon into the other side. I lift my right leg a bit when my hand is on the top. I swish my hand into my left side and turn around while my body is leaning back.

I lift my body while splitting my legs when I am on the air. I landed while swaying my ribbon from my right side into my left side. I lift my left leg and attaching it into my knee. I turn around five times while swaying my ribbon into the air. On my sixth turn, I slowly turn while my hands are on the air.

I overlap my hands passing through each other while I gracefully step back. I made another set of circular motions. I lean my body forward while my other leg is on the air—making a straight line while my upper body is leaning ninety degrees from my straight legs.

After that, I gracefully land my leg and dance like a princess on the loose while swaying my ribbon. I attach my leg into the back of my head as I lean backwards. I bow my head while my hand is making a motion on the air.

Suddenly, I heard a running sound. It's not from a human. I immediately drop myself in a graceful manner while my hands are still doing some motion. There, I saw an arrow approaching me. I gracefully roll my body on the floor as if it's part of my routine.

From laying, I dramatically sit while my hand is also dramatically swaying with my ribbon. I stand as a new arrow is approaching my way. I dance like a princess and my ribbon is doing better than a while ago. I successfully dodge the arrow.

I immediately toss my ribbon on the air as a new arrow is approaching my way. I can't help but to roll my eyes. I drop myself down and roll my body in different ways. I lift my hand and catch the dropping ribbon. I successfully caught it as the music is already over.

I stand up and raised my right hand at the same time. I smiled when I saw my friends cheering for me. The crowd went wild as well. The judges are standing and so I believe that I have made it. Win or lose for as long as I made them satisfied, I am satisfied as well.

I left the area and went backstage. The other girls are shocked, I must say. Their eyes got bigger and their body are stuck on the spot. I slightly smile and went into my room.

Yeah, I was right. The bows are coming from the spot where I assumed that is good for assassination. I chuckle. Funny how things are going. I saw that spot and at the same time, I am the victim of that spot. Crap!

"Nonetheless, I am happy for now. I will be back to take my rightful place that you taken away from me. Adíos."

"So, I decided to give Underground Academy an upgrade. This upcoming months and weeks will be unique. So stay tuned! Adíos."
