❦ story ❦

seapaw was the stereotypical 'innocent one' of the apprentices. she was the agreeable, amiable one, the one who never got angry at anyone. she was the stickler to the rules in case the warriors caught them and the one who could avoid trouble if she made a mistake.

she just never felt much like... well, a 'she'.

ever since seapaw was a kit, he felt more like a 'he' than a 'she', a tom's soul in a she-cat's body. in early life, he had dismissed this as some strange feeling, a phase he'd forget about with time. however, this wasn't the case. it was never the case.

whenever someone referred to seapaw like he was a girl, he inwardly flinched, but thinking he was just going crazy, he went along with it. but the feeling never went away.

eventually, the feeling of being trapped got so intense- he felt like he was living someone else's life, like he was pretending to be someone else. he didn't feel happy, and he was sick of hiding his feelings just for the sake of what everyone thought he was.

he decided, when he mustered up the courage, he would tell everyone about his real identity.
