3 months after she was saved.

Marinette's POV

Its was quite perplexing that I didn't have the slightest memory of that night. When I asked Adrien he said he didn't know either. The only ones that did now was my greatest enemy and my best friend, Alya refused to tell me and Chloe... Well duh she still hates me.

I felt like they were all trying to deceive me by lying. But if I learned anything from being Ladybug, its not to let my emotions run away. Well the bad ones anyway.

"Hey Mari!" Adrien yelled from the entrance of the park entrance. I pretended not to hear him and ran for the wooded area on the east side of the park, knowing that he'd follow.

The little clearing we made was quite nice. Darkness surrounded it except for one little patch where the light came down highlighting the bench that we usually sat at. We talked about everything under the sun plus some.

I stood in the middle of the small meeting place with my back turned towards the entrance. I was waiting for Adrien but he never came. When I turned around who I saw chilled me to the bones. It was Hawkmoth in the flesh.

"Marinette. You might think me strange to visit you here. Now. But trust me everything has a reason. What I'm about to do has a cause and is not normal." He pulled his long boney hands from behind him and made a bowl shape. Out the hole in the canopy of our little hangout spot came a pure white butterfly. I knew what was happening but my legs couldn't move. I panicked as I saw those purple sinister hands force dark magic over the pure little bug.

I tried to scream but my throat seemed to be filled with mud. He whispered something to it and then it came for me.

Everything went black and all I heard was these simple powerful words, " Marinette, you will act like yourself but sabotage everyone who has ever wronged you by whispering to them 'your next'. You have full knowledge of everything people are thinking and can see what anyone is doing at anytime by rubbing this stone three times. Do you understand?"

With out any acknowledgement of what I was saying, I said "yes hawkmoth. Thank you"
