Short 1
Charolette's molting conundrum

We currently see Charolette walking down the halls of the council base, humming to herself with a smile. Then Ezra walks next to her "oh hey there Charolette, you seem happy today" she says to her half sister. "You bet! I don't know why but I feel so invigorated for some reason!" The Arachne replied with gusto.

All of a sudden they here a small crunching noises, looking back they see Mathew jump after being startled. "Hey what are these?" He asked, the two girls walked back and picked one up "don't know. Does look familiar though" Charolette said then blushed.

"That looks like a carapace, but the only one here with a carapace is..." Ezra didn't have time to finish her sentence when her sister suddenly took off and locked herself in her quarters. "Charolette what the heck?!" Ken screamed as she passed him, Ezra rushed over to see what happened. Then saw another exoskeleton on the door, "they're mine alright! I'm molting!!" The spider girl yelled.

"Oh uh... do you want us to get you anything or..?" Ezra asked "n-y-... would it be a lot for a moist towel and some ointment for sensitive skin?" Charolette asked.

Two hours later

Everyone was now in the main area of the base with Ezra reading over some reports, "I do hope Charolette's okay" She said. "I'm sure she's fine, hasn't she molted before?" Kelly asked. Only to hear a terrified scream "though have been wrong before" she muttered as everyone ran to Charolette's room. "Sis?! Sis what wrong?!!" Emerald called out gently knocking the door, "something is wrong! Very wrong!" The Arachne replies.

"What you get some weird exoskeleton or something?" Kelse asked when the let out another yell. "No! I have legs!" Charolette yelled, which had confused everyone, "Uh Charolette... you're an Arachne, you always have legs" Selene remarked. Then the door swung open and shocked everyone "NO I HAVE LEGS!! TWO LEGS!!" She yelled again.

It was true, instead of having her normal spider like lower half Charolette now had two bipedal human like legs that ended in spider like claws. And her other legs had been moved to her back and resides on her shoulder blades like some pair of wings.

"... what happened to you?" Ezra asked, "I have no freaking clue" Charolette replied, then suddenly had a green light scanning her "not a problem" two voices said. They looked to the sources to see Kelly and Selene scanning her with an odd device, "we'll just scan your DNA structure and determine the cause of this sudden mutation" Kelly explained. "R-really?!" Charolette asked, "hey you know what they say, sistah's before Mistah's, and there ain't any here right now so sister you come first..." Clarissa was saying before Charolette pulled all of them into a hug with her shoulder legs "OH THANK YOU YOU GUYS ARE THE BEST SIBLINGS EVER!!!" She said.

"Thanks... but can we please be the best siblings ever that breathes?" Xylene asked as her face turned blue. "My arm's popping out of its socket!" James cried, later on Kelly and Selene finished their analysis with their scan. "Hey Charolette! We just finished looking over that scan of you" Kelly said.

"Wow that was fast" she replied putting on one of Ezra's pairs of jeans, "as it turns out that sudden mutation was actually a natural metamorphosis of some kind" Selene explained. "Natural Metamorphosis? You mean like how caterpillars become butterflies?" She asked, "Yeah, only you can switch back to your spider behind" Kelly added.

The spider girl looked behind her, then concentrated on her original form with her lower half being a spider. In a flash her arachnid half returned, "woah cool! Now that I think about it, why do I have this power anyway?" Charolette asked moving her spider legs to get used to them again. "Most likely having that Chimeratrix on you for so long allowed you to change your legs from more human to more Arachne for different purposes" Selene said, "and purposes meaning your Arachne body is built for various purposes while your human body is built to utilize the Chimeratrix better. But that's just a theory so further observations and testing are necessary"  Kelly added.

Charolette Smiles "oh cool, thanks girls, I wonder what mom and dad are gonna say when they see this" she said then out on a confused face. "Though there is one thing I don't get" she said switching back to her human legs, "what?" Kelse asked, "why the heck are there water balloons stuffed into my human pants?!" The Arachne girl asked.

Everyone deadpanned as Ezra spoke first "Charolette... dear sister... it's very clear you know those aren't water balloons" she said. "That's clearly your butt" she added when Charolette jokingly for some reason I don't know why she shook her hindquarters while making a weird fish picker face.
