"Docking in Hanger bay 7." Vinnie stated

Reaper eyed his rifle, realizing his mistake and put it above the seat, then pat it twice, before grabbing the M7S Caseless SMG Vinnie brought for him, as he did, the pelican docked onto the dimly lit hanger bay, while the pelican's hatch opened, Reaper brought up his SMG and turned on the laser and flashlight, then began to scan the environment

Vinnie and Scarlett came out of the cockpit slowly, with Scarlett's SMG also up, Vinnie, not wanting to flag her, kept her's aimed at the ceiling until she had an opening, Reaper gave the duo the hand signal to stay put, he slowly inched his way onto the hanger bay and continued to scan the environment, not noticing anyone, then gave the signal to move up

"I've got a bad feeling about this." Vinnie stated quietly

"Agreed. Where should we head first?" Scarlett asked in a whispered tone

"I'll check the bridge. The two of you check the barracks." Reaper replied quietly, before halting, the others picked up on this and did the same

"Plasma burns. We've got trouble." Vinnie stated

"Agreed. Change of plans, stick together and move out to the bridge." Reaper replied, before taking point out of the hanger bay "Scar, watch our six." Reaper ordered

"Already on it." She replied

"If we-" Reaper began before being interrupted by the intercoms

"Finally, fresh meat. Come puny humans, it has been so long since we've had a good fight!" An unknown voice stated, but sounded like a brute

"Shit. They know we're coming. Alright, since they know, you two fall back to the pelican and defend it against any threats. I'll deal with our new friends." Reaper ordered

"Are you sure? Whose to say it's not a trap when you get to the bridge?" Scarlett asked

"And if it is, at least you two can attempt a rescue. Now go, no more wasting time!" Reaper ordered before sprinting down the halls

"We should've brought David so one of us could've followed." Vinnie told Scarlett

"Too late now. But hey, don't forget we put a tracker on him just in case." Scarlett replied

"Fair point. Stays in one position too long, we know something is wrong." Vinnie said

"Exactly an- uh oh." Scarlett began before taking cover

"Shit. Who the hell are they? They don't look like Covenant." Vinnie whispered

"And Covenant don't scrap human tech during an intrusion. They already managed to take off a thruster. And put Reaper's DMR in a pile of junk. He ain't gonna be happy." Scarlett whispered back

"What do we do?" Vinnie asked

"Well, considering there's six of them, we can take them. I'll take the brute. You take the grunts and they're backup jackals." Scarlett said, before rushing the brute captain, mag dumping her SMG and clambering on top of the brute before stabbing it in the neck all in the span of 4 seconds, while Vinnie shot the grunts in the head with her M6C SOCOM before grabbing a jackal as a meat shield and fired her SMG at the other, filling it with holes and began to shoot her meat shield in the head, splattering blood everywhere

"I'll take Reaper's DMR and try to scavenge anything useful from these guys. In the meantime, try to reinstall the thruster." Scarlett ordered

"Got it." Vinnie replied
