Adam's POV

I wake up, my head pounding. Everyone is sleeping, including Seto, who's on our couch. The only person who isn't sleeping is Josie. She's sitting on the couch beside Seto, hugging her laptop to her chest.

"Josie, what happened?" I ask groggily. She turns and sighs with relief when she sees me.

"Adam... You've been unconscious for three hours."

"Are you serious? Why are you hugging your laptop like an overprotective mother?"

Josie looks down at the laptop and her grip tightens, causing her knuckles to turn white.

"I have really bad news... While you were out, I looked up a news report on what had happened. Citizens are being told to take extreme precautions around people like us." I stay silent and she swallows hard. "I think Herobrine's plan didn't end when we killed him last year."

"You can't be serious..." I whisper.

"I am, Adam. I'm scared," Josie replies. Tears spring to her eyes and I wrap her in a hug.

"I'm sorry. This is my fault," I say, trying to hide the fear in my voice.

"No, it's my fault. If you hadn't taken me in, I wouldn't have caused this to happen," Josie sobs. I put my hands on her shoulders and look her in the eyes.

"How can you blame yourself? If you weren't with us, you would have been safe and we would have become these creatures! We're all to blame! But we're glad we found you, because you're one of the best things that ever happened to us! You made us closer than ever before, and we're going to get through this together, as siblings," I say.

Josie nods and wipes the tears from her eyes.

"Let's do this."

I get up from the couch and look out over the balcony upstairs. I can see police on horseback patrolling the streets with guns strapped to their sides. I cuss quietly and walk downstairs.

"They're everywhere..."

"Adam, you have the powers of Herobrine. You can get away without them even noticing you," Josie says. "Just go observe the streets. See how bad it is."

I nod and put my sunglasses on to cover my now white eyes. I take off, my speed turning me almost invisible.

I have to find out how bad this really is.

A/N: DA DA DAAAAAAAAAA!!!

You guys do not know the temptation for me to call "Police on Horseback" Mounties. Why doesn't America have Mounties? That would make everything easier for us Canadians.
