When we think about royalty, only wealth, freedom and power comes to mind right ? Many people think that because you belong to the royal family you have everything, all the happiness of the world right ? But for the prince Shu Kurenai, being in the royal family means exactly the opposite...the loss of happiness, the loss of freedom and the loss of love...having powers doesn't mean being happy.

Mr.Kurenai : Shu...are you ready for tomorrow ?

Shu : Yes father...

Mr.Kurenai : Don't forget that this party is the most important moment of your life.

He furiously left the throne room and goes directly to his bedroom and entered inside while stomping his feets.

Shu : Call Y/n to my room please.

He said to the maid who was cleaning his room.

Maid : Sure your majesty...

She bowed at him and left from there and after few seconds you approaches to his bedroom and knocked on the door.

Shu : Come in!!!

You opened the door and entered inside just to see him staring at the ceiling blankly.

Y/n : You called me your majesty ?

Shu : Drop the formalities Y/n...you don't need to call me that.

He walked towards you and held your hand, softly caressing it while looking into your eyes.

Shu : I missed you...

Y/n : Shu...

Shu : Hmmm ?

Y/n : W-We can't do this...it's wrong.

He looked at you while raising an eyebrow.

Shu : Y/n...we already talked about this.

Y/n : But you are getting married and still you are in a relationship with me.

Shu : You know my opinion very well about my wedding so, please don't start again.

Y/n : But Shu I am just a maid and we are in a relationship and moreover you are going to get engaged tomorrow.

Shu : But I don't want this---

Y/n : We can't go on like this Shu.

Shu : What are you trying to say ?

Y/n : I-I don't think we should c-continue this.

He looked at you in disbelief.

Shu : D-Don't you love me anymore ?

Y/n : Do you really think I am doing this because I don't love you ? I am doing this because I love you way too much and I want the best for you.

Shu : Oh! Really ? Do you think our break-up is the best for me ?

Y/n : I am just a maid here Shu...the king and the people will never accept me as their queen and people will say that I seduce you when I didn't.

Shu : And do you think I want someone that isn't you to be my wife ? For god's sake you are the love of my life Y/n...I don't want to share my room, my bed and my life with someone else!

You begins shedding tears.

Shu : I love you Y/n...please don't give up on us.

Y/n : I am not giving up Shu...I am just facing the reality.

You wiped your tears away and left his bedroom.

~Next Day~

It was the day of the engagement and today the king will announce the marriage of prince Shu, everything was ready and the maids, workers, servants and chefs were also dressed up more formally than they usually do...the guests starts arriving and started to enjoy the party but Shu hasn't come to the party hall yet.

Maid : Y/n...prince Shu called you in his bedroom.

Y/n : Why ? Everyone is waiting for him here.

Maid : I don't know but he was looking tensed.

You got worried and immediately went to Shu's room and after getting permission to enter you got inside.

Y/n : Do you need something your majesty ?

Shu : Yes but first stop calling me that.

Y/n : Can you please tell me what do you need ? Everyone is waiting for you in the party hall.

Shu : Let's run away...

You gasped loudly in shock.

Y/n : W-What ?

Shu : Let's run away! Let's just move out of this kingdom...let's live our life as a normal couples who loves each other unconditionally.

Y/n : Are you out of your mind ?

Shu : I am perfectly in right mind...I never wanted this life and running away with you is the best option for both of us.

Y/n : Then what about the kingdom ? Who gonna be in your place ?

Shu : If I died Suoh would take my place which means If I run away then Suoh will rule this kingdom.

Y/n : Still even If he takes your place this is not right.

He walked closer towards you and caressed your cheeks softly.

Shu : My love please...I don't want to live this life anymore...I don't belong here so, please Y/n let's run away.

You stayed quiet for a moment thinking If this what you wanted or not...from one side you feels like trapped by the obligation to stay but from another side you just wanted to be happy with Shu.

Shu : Will you marry me Y/n ?

Your eyes widened...you were already shocked but he gives you double shock.

Y/n : I think you've finished what you wanted to talk for so, you should go to the party hall before someone else comes here to called you.

Shu : But you didn't answer my question.

You avoids the eye contact with him.

Y/n : You are a prince and I am just a maid Shu, you are going to get married to a princess and I don't want to continue this relationship...I just can't take my soon to be queen's place, you only belong to her.

Shu : First look at me...

He lift your chin up.

Shu : Now say what you were saying ? Do I really belong to a princess ? Weren't your heart ached when she would be near me ? Can you imagine someone else in my room, on my bed and most importantly carrying my child in her womb ?

You closed your eyes tightly and clenched your fists as you can't hear it anymore.

Y/n : Let's run away Shu, please take me with you away from here...If the king and the people find out about us then they won't let us live peacefully.

He leaned in and kissed you gently which surprised you then after few seconds he broke the kiss and gave you a long kiss on your forehead.

Shu : Just order me love...no need to plead me.

He hugged you and closed his eyes feeling relief that finally he can live with you in peace.

Shu : We are gonna live our life freely...I love you so much Y/n.

Y/n : I love you too my prince.

~After 2 Years~

Everything was finally perfect, you both had the life you both carved for so long and after running away you both moved out of the kingdom and started living in a small house in the forest with lots of happiness.

Shu : My queen...can you please take a rest ? I don't want you to make any efforts. 

Y/n : Shu...I am pregnant not invalid.

Shu : I know but I don't want you to get tired...it's not good for you and our baby.

Y/n : We both are fine Shu...

Shu signals you to come over him and you walked towards him then he put you on his lap and starts caressing your five months baby bump.

Shu : I am so happy that we got out of there...I would never imagine my life in any other way.

Y/n : Hmmm but do you remember you said after our baby come out you will take us for a family trip and this time I will choose where to go.

Shu : Alright my queen...the decision is all yours.
