Chapter One - Class 1A

💥

A/n: I wrote this chapter in 2nd POV, so let me know whether you like 1st or 2nd better

~*~

"Are you done endangering our hideout?" Tomura growled lowly, causing you to peek open an eye and roll over to give him an annoyed look.

"I am now that you're snapping at me," getting up, you grabbed the cape that was laid out next to you and draped it over your shoulders. Energy thrummed in the green outlining, warmth stuck on the black fabric. You'd save it for later. You and Tomura left the roof, and you missed the sun already.

(Y/n) (L/n)

Quirk: Energy Manipulation

If something is creating energy she can use it to her advantage. She can manipulate it any way she wants. Watch out, she may be young and inexperienced in battle, but her Quirk packs a punch! Not to mention all the untapped potential. If she uses her Quirk for too long without getting energy from another source, she'll start using her own which leads to blackouts.

"Is there a reason you're so tense today?" you asked, stepping back into the darkness of the bar. You didn't enjoy the lack of windows, but it was home, and safe for the league's operations.

"All Might is teaching at UA Highschool," Tomura scowled, "The worst of them all teaching the next generation."

You were quite indifferent towards All Might. He'd never spoken about quirklessness before, but he had spoken about Quirk inheritance and how your Quirk shouldn't decide who you are, and you liked that. You'd never admit it to Tomura though, especially because you still stood by his ideals about hero society. It created a flawed power structure that idolized powerful Quirks over morals. The world would always need heroes - another thing you wouldn't tell Tomura - but if what they represented didn't change then the world would be doomed, full of false heroes and devastating power structures.

"And it'd be the perfect chance to track him down and kill him," you finished, catching on to what he was implying, "We just need to figure out where and when we can do it. So we need a schedule." You turned to the TV above the bar and turned it on, switching to a news channel. Most of the field reporters were in front of the UA gates, practically begging students for interviews about All Might, "Perhaps it's time we pay a visit to the school."

Having been two years since you mysteriously disappeared in Tokyo's shopping district, there wasn't much attention on your case anymore. As far as you were concerned your parents returned home a few weeks after your initial disappearance, all leads dying out a year later. But that didn't mean you were unrecognizable. You were no longer a child, but you weren't an adult either. Losing baby fat didn't mean you lost your identity, so Tomura and you both pulled hoods over your heads and medical masks over your mouths.

"Warp us," Tomura ordered Kurogiri. Ever the faithful servant, he did it without question. After a small lurch in your stomach, you were in an alleyway. Even between the buildings, you could see UA in the distance, shining and boasting its existence to all those that passed it.

Currently, there were hoards of reporters crowded around the gate. Nothing would ever be more important than what the big heroes were doing. Looking to Tomura for guidance, he simply walked out of the alley. Following his lead, you weaved your way through the reporters.

"Have you seen All Might yet?" You asked, raising your voice's pitch to match that of a curious teenage girl, fangirling over her favorite hero. In the corner of your eye, you could see Tomura nearing the gate, his hand outstretched.

"No," the reporters let out a collective sigh.

"Dang!" You whined dramatically, keeping their attention on you while the gate slowly turned to dust, "And they aren't letting anyone in either! So much for knowing how well he's teaching!"

By the time your tangent was done, the gate was gone. The reporters slowly noticed and were quick to rush onto the school ground. As soon as they passed the threshold alarms started going off. Tomura came back to stand by you, and you trailed behind the main crowd.

"This way," you stepped off to the side, leading Tomura to the back of the school away from the main group. There were alarms and locks on the doors. Holding your hand out, the lock lost all power and the door clicked open, "Let's go."

The more you walked through the school, the more energized you felt as you were sucking the power from the surveillance systems. Just one camera at a time. If you took out the whole system all at once it would raise the alarms even more.

The students were loud and panicked because of the alarm, so it was easy to know what halls to avoid. Following the basic outline of the building led you and Tomura to Principal Nezu's office easily. Pulling your sleeve over your hand, you pushed the door open and stepped inside.

"Look through the cabinets," Tomura ordered, walking over to the computer. Logged in. The Principal didn't have time to log out before he was sent off to deal with the problem.

Half of the cabinets were locked, the ones labeled as student information. That made sense, they would protect their student's information more closely than the public heroes that taught at the school.

Pulling open the other ones didn't reveal much either. Building codes and budget information that would do the league no good at the moment or in the future.

"Got it," Tomura printed a file from the printer in the room, and you were gone.

You went out the way you came, noticing that the students had quieted down. When you cleared a hallway, you sent power back to the camera, slowly draining the excess energy you had. There was no need for it at the time, and it'd be all too easy to draw out some more if you needed it. Without energy, the world didn't run.

Tomura and you were sure to be off the school ground before the rest of the reporters were dealt with. You were back in the alleyway and in the bar five minutes later.

"So when's the next plan going to be put into place?" You questioned, watching as Tomura carefully flipped through the pages.

"They have a class field trip two days from now to a place called the USJ."

"Universal Studios Japan?"

Sending you a glare that silently asked if you were stupid, Tomura returned to the paper and scratched at his neck, "All Might will be there along with two other teachers. Master?"

"I'll send word." You jumped. You hadn't realized Kurogiri had turned on the communications with All for One, "Be prepared."

"Perhaps you could spare a Nomu?" Kurogiri suggested, and your eyes widened at that.

Nomu were a top-secret project that you had only heard bits and pieces of. Kurogiri knew more than both Tomura and you did, but even then it wasn't much. What you did know was that they were weapons, deadly and prepared to kill All Might.

But it wasn't just All Might there, Class 1-A would be present too, teens your age. You wanted to hate them like you hated many other heroes, but who were you to judge them without seeing them? You'd know their intentions soon enough, and the minuscule worries you felt for their safety would become nothing but intrigue in seeing how they fell apart under the pressure of true power.

"Yes, I shall spare our best Nomu for this mission. All Might is weakening, Tomura. This is your time to strike."

Then All for One was gone.

Sighing, you picked your cape up off the stool it'd been draped over since you came in from the roof that morning. Stopping behind the bar to get a bottle of water, you went back up to the roof without telling the others. They'd know where you were. Tomura would yell at you again, but silently forgive you when you made dinner for everyone after.

A new generation of heroes, huh? How would they react to the quirkless, to the unaccepted? Would they stay pure-hearted, or give into the temptations that fame presented? You'd be pleasantly surprised if they were morally right, but tomorrow and perhaps some encounters after that would tell.

"How fun," you mumbled to yourself as you laid out your cape and sat down on top of it.

~*~

Two days later everything was ready. You were simply waiting for Class 1-A to actually arrive at the USJ before the front line squad made their grand entrance. There were several common thugs waiting in the bar with you, but there were more already at the USJ in the various locations that Kurogiri would warp the student to.

Having so many criminals in one place was making you antsy. You could tell Tomura was slowly becoming the same way from the way he would scratch at his neck every so often. Eventually, you tired of the sound and slapped his hand.

"Touch me again and I'll kill you," he hissed.

"Scratch your neck again and you'll be dead before you can lift a finger," you snapped back. Neither of you were serious in your threats. You'd known each other for four years and considered each other siblings - even if Tomura would never admit it openly. When you're raised under the same crazed villain and are trusted to start a movement to change the world it's easy to become close.

Kurogiri came out of the back room, and everyone knew it was time. Tomura didn't seem too keen on giving a rousing speech to rally the masses, so you took it upon yourself. You had read enough books to know what people wanted - needed - to hear if they were going to fight to the best of their ability. Empty words with the knowledge that many of them could very well fall to the hero students they'd be facing.

"For too long we've been pushed down, forged by the fires that the hero world refused to put out. It's time to embrace the flames. We have one goal, deal with the students and kill All Might. Do it well."

The villains gave a rowdy cheer. Maybe it was your mask, hiding your face from the world, or the fact that no sane fifteen-year-old would be a part of the League of Villains, much less in the position of power you held, but you knew they all saw you as a young adult. Their respect would quickly come into question if they knew your age. This was your first chance to prove it didn't matter.

Kurogiri opened the warp. Tomura, the Nomu, and you stepped through first. In the distance, you could see the clustered group of junior heroes at the staircase near the entrance. They had no idea what was coming.

Behind you came the first group of villains. They moved past your trio, giving a wide berth. Despite the fact that Tomura, the Nomu, and you weren't moving or showing off your Quirks, you were still giving off an aura of power that intimidated all of them. It felt good. You weren't being looked down upon, there were no insults coming your way. You were there, and you were powerful.

Then one of the hero teachers gracefully jumped down the impossibly long flight of stairs, immediately jumping into action to protect his students. Admirable, but stupid.

"Eraserhead," you told Tomura as if he didn't already know, "Quirk is Quirk Nullification. Underground and rarely in mainstream media, but powerful."

"Not enough to defeat us," was all Tomura said back.

Eraserhead easily took out five of the criminals within the first two minutes of his fight. Impressive. But whether or not he could use his skills to defeat the numbers you brought was yet to be seen.

"Which one of you gutter punks is next?" He asked after a particularly harsh takedown.

"There he goes, trying to intimidate us. He is strong, and since he's hiding behind those goggles, you can't tell whose Quirk he's erasing. He's making it hard to work together or rely on each other's powers. How annoying," two fingers reaching up, Shigaraki managed to scratch his neck despite the hand in the way. "The worst thing about dealing with pros is when they live up to all their hype."

"Kurogiri, go for the students. Separate them," you ordered the warp-Quirk owner. That'd put part two of the plan into place.

Following your orders without questions - as you were Tomura's second-in-command - he disappeared from view and popped back up a few seconds later in front of the fleeing students and pro her Thirteen.

"We have a problem," you said quietly to Tomura when you finally took the time to see what and who you were dealing with, "We're missing a key player."

"All Might," Tomura's annoyed tone grew even worse at the realization, "Continue with the plan. He'll show if enough of his precious students are in danger."

The entire front portion of the building was enveloped in purple mist. Taking this as your cue, you gave Tomura's arm a single nudge and left the group. There were several areas to choose from, to observe.

Unlike all the other criminals that were joining the attack today, you would not be directly attacking the students or the teachers unless provoked. Of course, your choice sparked an argument with Tomura, but you were much more interested in observing Class 1A and their potential. Eventually, Tomura had to agree with you that knowing what you could eventually be going up against was smart.

With that, you chose the most normal city environment- a ruined area in a black, which meant no energy from the powerlines, but you had enough stored to be fine as long as you didn't come into contact with any trouble. Not to mention you were constantly extracting it from the air without consciously doing so - what with the sun and wind and all, but that power always went to your body directly, keeping you on the go.

Hands in fists at your sides, you shot out energy beams that propelled you off the ground and into the air, leaving scorch marks at your takeoff location. Traveling by air would draw attention to yourself, but with the heroes distracted and students scattered, who would be able to stop you?

Landing, you found it easy to track down the students that were sent to the ruins location. The students were kicking their asses, impressive in all aspects. At first, it was just one in the building, he had an explosion Quirk. You stood across the street to observe, looking through the window of the fight. The first student inside was aggressive, unafraid of injuring the criminals and more concerned with how quickly he took them out. Then you saw another student enter, and he was much different. What a person would expect from a hero. His ever-present smile and the conversation he and the other students seemed to have showed their obvious differences.

Then the aggressive one looked out the window, and met your eye. A feral grin formed on his face, and you took that as your cue to leave. The other one was still talking to him, which meant he hadn't noticed you. You'd keep it that one.

Using the darkness to your advantage, you backed up into the shadows and slunk out of the city. Using your Quirk would mean giving away your position, so you were willing to be at a temporary disadvantage if it meant getting away.

Once out of the ruins, you looked around and tried to decide where to go next. The closest spot was the landslide/mountain range, so you flew over there. In the landslide area, all of the criminals were already frozen in place. Whatever student sent there made quick work of them. In the mountain zone, there were three students in that area, already facing the thugs positioned there. You perched yourself on the peak of a mountain, and waited patiently.

The boy had an electricity Quirk, which would come in handy if you were discovered and needed an emergency supply of energy. One of the girls had a Quirk related to sound, and the last you were unsure about. But based on her costume, she needed her body revealed, hinting towards some sort of creation Quirk.

Your suspicions were confirmed when the back of her uniform ripped and a large sheet covered her and the other girl. Insulation. The boy was covering his body with electricity, but wasn't directly shooting it at anyone, which meant-

"Go Kaminari."

Bracing yourself, you grunted under the force of the power the boy put out. You weren't in the direct blast, but you'd put the electricity level at around 1 million volts, so it was inevitable you got hit with it. If only his Quirk had the same effect on you it did on the others, they'd have a much easier time if that was the case.

When the attack was finished, you let out a long breath and a quiet laugh. All of that electricity did you good. You wouldn't be surprised if your eyes were glowing green, that always happened when you channeled large amounts of energy.

"Good going Kaminari," you mused, deciding you were done with that area as well.

As much as you'd love to move on to another area and observe even more of the students, you also assumed that the other students were dealing with their common criminals just as well. But they were pawns, easily expendable.

"Time to meet up with Tomura, then. He'd be pissed if I got myself caught," hands at your sides, you shot off. The power surprised you at first, but you quickly adapted to the change in pressure.

Landing lightly on your feet, you easily figured out how the fight was going for both sides. Eraserhead's elbow was destroyed, and Tomura was taunting him about his Quirk limitations, not only that but his battle limitations. The students were doing so well because they were in groups and were getting lucky, Eraserhead was different.

"On your feet Tomura," you pulled Tomura up by his forearm, standing next to him as Eraserhead defeated his next wave of enemies and turned back to your two.

"Look at you, you're still standing! You really are so cool!" Tomura mused, "Oh, by the way, hero. I am not the final boss."

Nomu stood behind Eraserhead, grabbing his head. It was over for him, and you couldn't help but avert your eyes. No one would know because your mask was covering your face.

"We're here for All Might, Tomura, this hero-"

"Don't tell me you're going to lose your lunch, (Y/n)," Tomura sent you a warning glare, "How else will All Might be summoned if we don't cause a little chaos?"

"He isn't here, and we're blocking the rest of the group from leaving. If one of them gets out, they won't just bring All Might, they'll bring the rest of the staff."

"That's why Kurogiri is dealing with them," Tomura turned his attention back to the injured hero, "What do you think of him, Eraserhead? He's the bioengineered, anti-Symbol of Peace. But you can call him Nomu."

Nomu let out a shriek as his master called his name. Reaching down, he grabbed a hold of Eraserhead's arm and pulled. You looked away again. You liked Eraserhead, liked the questions his Quirk posed. The ability to take away the power people held and make them feel quirkless, even if it was just for mere moments.

"You can erase people's powers," you stated the obvious, steeling your nerves to look directly at him, "But like all Quirks it comes at a cost. And when a creature like a Nomu is already incredibly strong, you'd be much better off saving your strength."

As if to prove your point, Eraserhead turned to face the Nomu and activated his Quirk. In response, the Nomu snapped his other arm like a twig. Of course he wouldn't trust your words, you were a villain. But he'd learn that you weren't one to lie to get what you wanted. You didn't need to. The Nomu lifted Eraserhead's head and slammed it into the ground, so hard that a large dent was formed.

Kurogiri popped up next to Tomura, "Tomura Shigaraki."

"Kurogiri, did you manage to kill Thirteen?"

"The rescue hero is out of commission. But there were students I was unable to disperse and one of them got outside of the facility."

"Shit."

Tomura's hand automatically reached up to his neck. Unlike most of the other times when you stopped him before he could damage the skin, you allowed him this moment of self-destruction. If not for your own satisfaction of being proven right, then to give him time to think.

"Kurogiri... You fool... If you weren't our warp gate I'd tear apart every last atom from your body," Tomura growled, then abruptly stopped, "There's no way we can win if dozens of pros show up to stop us. It's game over, back to the title screen. And I was looking forward to finishing this today. Damn it. Let's go home."

Hearing a splash behind you, you turned to the source. Heads ducked down, but they were too slow. Three students in the water mere feet behind your group. Idiots, all three of them if they thought they were safe so close to you.

"Oh, one more thing. Let's make sure the Symbol of Peace is broken," Tomura followed your gaze to the water. The students had popped back up, and this time were frozen in fear.

"Tomura, this isn't the way to go about things," you warned. The students were your age, and innocent until proven guilty in your mind. Terrified, and completely unprepared to face the true evil that the league represented. You'd lived in the darkness for years, they didn't have the same luxury of feeling ready for battle.

"Just one," Tomura semi-agreed, shooting forward.

"Tomura!"

Tomura placed his hand over the face of the girl in the middle, but nothing happened. Looking back to Eraserhead, you held back a sigh of relief. No excuse made up for the truth of the situation: if Tomura killed a student the same age as you, you'd feel as though he was killing you. The only difference between you and the student at that moment was a label society placed on the two of you. You didn't know enough about them and what they thought of the world to decide how you'd treat them yet. And you didn't kill innocents. Tomura, however, didn't care.

"You really are so cool, Eraserhead," Tomura looked back to the severely injured hero, who still managed to cancel out his Quirk despite all his debilitating injuries.

The Nomu slammed his head into the ground again. The green-haired boy leapt out of the water, aiming a likely super-powered punch at Tomura.

"Nomu, go!" You ordered, being his second master. The Nomu was off of Eraserhead and in front of Tomura in a millisecond.

The force of the punch was astonishment, shattering several of the lightbulbs in the area and stirring up a dust thick enough to hide the area from view. With that chance, you knelt next to Eraserhead. Shallow breathing and unconscious.

"You don't need to be conscious for this," you flicked your wrist and a green light quickly shot from your hand to his back. The color quickly faded, and you stepped back again. The teacher didn't deserve to die for protecting his students, so you gave him a fighting chance by giving his body a bit more energy. It was up to him and his body whether he made it after that.

The Nomu reached out for the kid, Tomura reached out for the girl, and the girl reached out for her classmate. You took off in a sprint to join the throes, unsure of what your plan was once you got there. But soon enough your body stopped in shock as the doors to the USJ burst open.

All Might had arrived.

"Have no fear, students," All Might's voice boomed across the USJ, his famous smile replaced by a scowl, "I am here!"

"Ah, looks like our game's getting a continue," Tomura stepped away from the students, his attention now on the reason we were there in the first place.

"I couldn't shake the feeling that something had gone wrong here when Aizawa and Thirteen didn't answer my calls. So I hurried over, running into Young Iida on the way. He told me of the villainy at work here."

"After all this waiting, the heroic piece of trash shows up."

"The students don't matter anymore, Tomura. We need the Nomu for All Might. There's no need to break his spirit when we can kill him now," you encouraged, sending wary looks to the students who were still too close for comfort, "Just give the order."

In a flash, All Might was down the stairs and holding his injured colleague in his arms. Then his gaze turned to you, and the three students were out of your reach in another flash. The force of the wind knocked the hand off Tomura's face.

"No, no, no. It wasn't supposed to go this way. He's still fast, Father. Somehow he managed to hit me. Of course a government hero relies on violence. I wasn't prepared. I couldn't even see him when he moved."

"But he's not as fast as we thought he would be," you knelt next to Tomura, "Do you want me to deal with the students?"

'Deal with' as in give them a good fight before inevitably retreating back to Tomura.

"No! Stay here, stay close. All Might really is getting weaker, and that means you'll want to be here for the show."

"Carolina-"

"Nomu."

"Smash!"

The water behind you created a large wave from the force of the wind, but Tomura and you remained unharmed. With that signal, the Nomu began his final battle with All Might. All Might sent a few punches the creature's way with no results.

"It really doesn't matter where I punch you, does it?" All Might questioned.

"That's because he has shock absorption, All Might," Tomura revealed, "The only way you're going to hurt him is to slowly gouge out his flesh. Of course I don't think he'll sit back and let you do that. You've finally met your match."

"Thanks for telling me how to beat him," All Might grabbed the Nomu by the middle, 'All I have to do is wear him down, and then it's on to you."

With a loud crash and plume of debris, you and Tomura waited to see what All Might attempted to do. When the smoke cleared, All Might was stuck in a trap of Kurogiri's creation. All Might likely was trying to bury the Nomu, but Kurogiri's portals stopped that from happening and formed a square of injury on both sides. But the Nomu had a tight grip on All Might's side, and blood seeped through his white shirt.

"Smart move," you nodded in admiration, "But villains play dirty, All Might. Unless you forgot. It's not a one on one fight. There's no honor when all you want to do is win."

Dropping his grip on the Nomu, All Might instead took the Nomu's hand and pulled it away from his side, "If this is your best, then you picked the wrong place to attack. You should just give up now!"

Empty threats from a man who was no longer sure he could win the fight. Tomura seemed to pick up on that as well.

"Kurogiri?"

"Normally, I wouldn't want blood and viscera flooding my warp gates, but I'll make an exception for a hero as great as you. Since you're too fast for the eye, Nomu had to restrain you, and once you're halfway through the gate I shut it and tear you in half. I'm going to enjoy tearing you into pieces."

From the distance came the green-haired student from before, desperate to save his favorite hero. It was foolish, and Kurogiri said as much, opened a gate that he'd immediately close to take off his arm-

Boom!

"Get the hell outta my way, Deku!"

"One of your poorly trained thugs told me you're here because you think you can kill All Might," another student approached, freezing just enough of the Nomu to keep it from harming All Might, but not enough to affect the hero himself.

Three students, all of them powerful, and obviously confident enough in their abilities to come straight to the main battle. Then there was a fourth, who went straight for Tomura. He easily jumped out of the way.

"The symbol of peace will not be defeated by delinquents like you."

"Kurogiri, how could you let this brat get the best of you?" The aggressive one was holding Kurogiri by the neck, having figured out where the only tangible piece of his body was located. You've gotten us into a real jam here."

"Heh, you got careless you dumb villain. It wasn't hard to figure you out. Only certain parts of you turn into that smoking warp gate. You use that mist to hide your body as a distraction- thinking that makes you safe. But if you didn't have a body, you wouldn't be wearing this neck armor. You try anything funny and I'll blow your ass up right now."

"(Y/n)."

"On it."

Four students, one All Might. As long as the Nomu recovered fast enough then you shouldn't have much of a problem with the students, but you weren't about to underestimate their strength. That's what all the other criminals did and you saw what happened to them.

You'd leave the aggressive one for last. He wouldn't be able to move from Kurogiri without risking his escape, so if you avoided any long-range attacks from him then you'd be safe. So you went for the red-head.

"Woah!" The red-head activated his Quirk and you two began your fight.

He was skilled in close range, and based on his skin it hardened which was why he was so resistant to any energy blasts you sent his way. The only way you could finish him was to drain his energy enough to knock him out. Hearing a slight crackling to your right, you jumped back just in time to avoid being frozen in place.

"You aren't afraid to fight in groups either, then. I'm honored you think I'm that dangerous."

Behind you, you could hear the Nomu screeching and the ice on his body shattering as his body parts regrew. The red-head came in for another attack, and you threw a punch, channeling more kinetic energy in it to make a more powerful impact. The red-head skidded back a few feet, but remained unharmed. Wincing, you looked down at your hand. Bloody knuckles.

Another slight crackling and you dodged an ice attack again. Turning to the dual-haired boy, you aimed a blast his way. He formed an ice wall soon enough to protect himself from the blast.

"You pack a strong punch for such a small person," the red-head was back, throwing rapid punches that you struggled to stay away from.

Ducking under another punch, you took the chance and tackled the red-head. Before you could throw you off, you placed a hand on his chest and drew energy away from his main bodily function to shut them down. Immediately, his eyes drooped. But before you could knock him out, your body was tackled off.

"Kirishima!" It was the green-haired boy. The aggressive one called him Deku earlier, but that seemed to be more of a nickname.

"Can't punch me without hurting yourself, can you?" You looked to his left hand, which was wrapped as if it was broken, "Easy enough."

Sending a sturdy punch to his chest with your already bloody hand, he went flying off. Stretching out your hand with a wince, you were thankful that the kinetic energy charges were doing most of the work.

"(Y/n), free Kurogiri," Tomura ordered.

Sprinting for the aggressive one, you threw out an energy blast to counteract the explosion he activated when he noticed you approached. The two cancelled each other out, and you ran through the remains of the blast with a determined glance at Kurogiri's still form.

"Damn villains, just don't know when you give up, do you?" The blonde growled, obviously unsure of how to handle the situation.

"Neither do you, it seems," lifting your hand, you gave off a blast that hit him straight in the chest. He grunted, but didn't move much. You were impressed.

"My turn," he lifted the hand with the gauntlet on it, and you heard the other UA students running out of the way from behind you. He pulled the pin.

"Nomu!"

The blast was brutal, and despite the Nomu shooting over there to take the main brunt force, your body was still thrown back. Groaning when you hit the ground, you blinked slowly to regain normal vision.

"Todoroki, now!"

Eyes widening, you tried to get up before the ice reached you, but it was too fast that time. Another burst of wind and the blonde was in front of you. All Might must have moved him when the Nomu showed up to keep him safe.

"Look at this, who's powerless now?" The blonde quickly recovered from the shock of being moved so quickly and glared down at you.

"Kaachan, you should take off her mask. We don't know if it shows her-"

"Shut up, Deku!" Despite snapping at his friend and threatening him by lighting up his palms, he still moved to rip off your mask.

"No!" Shutting your eyes, you pulled the energy you had stored in your cape and focused it into your hands. The ice shattered and flew in all directions. You panted, slamming your elbow against the ice around your knees to free them as well.

"These are kids and you didn't hold back?" All Might yelled at Tomura, referencing the Nomu and 'Kaachan'.

"I didn't have a choice. He was threatening my companion. They still are," Tomura pointed to you, "Besides, these kids are no angels. The plain-looking one? He tried to kill me with a maxed-out punch. What kind of hero does something like that? You think you can get away with whatever you want if you say it's for the sake of others. Well, you know what, All Might? That pisses me off."

Finally breaking through the ice, you stumbled to your feet as Tomura finished his final speech before the fight began again. The four students immediately got into battle positions when you got to your feet, but you no longer had any reason to fight them directly.

Using the rest of the energy you already had stored in your body, you shot yourself over to Tomura, Kurogiri, and the Nomu, nearly falling to your knees when you landed.

"Out of HP?" Tomura asked you quietly.

"Just give me a minute. I can fight if I need to." You drew in more energy from the sun outside, and took out some of the remaining lights to draw that energy as well. Despite your body aching less, you were still fatigued. The drawbacks of your Quirk were kicking in. After this, you'd have to train your stamina more.

"Don't attack," All Might ordered his students, "Get out of here."

"You would've been in trouble earlier if it weren't for me, remember? You need our help."

"I thank you for your assistance. But this is different. It's going to be alright. Just sit back and watch a pro at work."

If the students actually listened and left, you'd be extremely relieved. Not only would that take away the chance of having to fight them again, but they'd be out of the line of danger.

"Nomu. Kurogiri, kill him. (Y/n) and I will deal with the children. Let's clear this level and go home."

With more power than he'd ever shown before, All Might went straight for the Nomu and delivered a punch that sent everyone into the air. Twisting to face your back toward the fight, you somersaulted when you landed to avoid hurting your ankles.

All Might's new strategy seemed to be to deliver so many punches with so much power that the Nomu couldn't keep up.

"I can't get near them," Kurogiri reported, being pushed back towards you and Tomura.

The pair were moving so fast that their arms were blurs compared to the rest of their bodies.

"If you can really withstand me going at you with one hundred percent of my power, then I'll have to go beyond that and force you to surrender!"

All Might delivered his final punches. One that drove the Nomu to the ground, another few that tore up the ground with the force, and one final one that threw the Nomu straight out of the building and so far away that he couldn't be seen anymore.

"Holy shit," you whispered, eyes wide. That wasn't the plan, and that wasn't expected either. He beat the shock absorption out of the Nomu.

In the dust of the fight, All Might turned to face you, Tomura, and Kurogiri, "You've been bested, villains. Surrender. We all want to get this over with quickly."

"He cheated," Tomura fumed, angrier than I had ever seen him, "He beat me. He's not any weaker at all. And look what he did to my Nomu. He cheated!"

"Cheating or not, it's time to go, Tomura," you kept your eyes on All Might, worried that turning away would present him with an opportunity, "We'll continue this fight another day, but we can't do that if we're captured."

"What's wrong? Not attacking me? Didn't you say you were going to clear this level earlier? Well, come and get me, if you dare."

He was bluffing. And if you could see it then Tomura would too. The fight with the Nomu took too much out of him, and he was hoping you'd surrender rather than continue the fight. But the pro heroes could show up at any moment, so it wasn't as much a bluff as it was a stall.

"Tomura-"

"Tomura Shigaraki, please do not fret," Kurogiri stopped Tomura from ripping the skin off his neck, "Look at him, he has definitely weakened. The Nomu's attacks were successful. He's on his own. The children appear to be frozen in fear, and look, our underlings are recovering. We likely have a few minutes before the reinforcements arrive. If we work together we can do this."

"Tomura no," I argued, "We can't risk being captured if the pros show up sooner than we expect."

Despite being the fifteen year old, Tomura was the childishly stubborn one. I blamed it on being raised by All for One completely, instead of living normally for longer.

"You're right. This is it. We have no choice. We have to kill him now."

Tomura and Kurogiri shot forward, expecting you to follow. Idiots. They were too desperate and absorbed in the mission to be realistic! How come you were the youngest in the group and you understood what the outcome would be?

From the distance, Deku shot forward as well. It was a race to see who would hit who first. Then there was a gunshot, and you knew it was all over. Sprinting over to the group, you quickly grabbed Tomura's uninjured arm and pulled him closer to Kurogiri.

"I knew this would happen," you hissed.

"This is game over. Let's go home so we can-" Another three gunshots went off, and they kept coming as even Kurogiri wrapped you in his warp gate. Tomura's body was limp, but he was still conscious.

"Kurogiri, let's go!" You yelled. The two of you were halfway through the gate when you got sucked in the other direction.

"This is- black hole!"

Sticking an arm out of the portal, you shakily aimed and shot the largest blast you could manage with the last of your energy. It didn't hit Thirteen, but it did hit the student in pink next to her, causing her to stop and immediately look after her student - who'd have nothing more than some bruising because the attack itself was so weak.

Kurogiri completed the portal, and all three of you were taken back to the bar. Landing on the wood floor, you groaned in pain, knowing you'd soon have to get up to help Tomura deal with his bullet wounds.

"We should have left when I said," you mumbled, body aching.

"Shut the hell up."
