Love is something beautiful,

Special.

It can't be forced,

Can't be earned,

It has to be given.

Some love is made at birth.

Love for your parents,

Love for your siblings.

Some is made in day-to-day life.

Whether it be a simple 'hello',

A pickup line

Good or bad,

Or a simple smile shared between two people.

Love is a beautiful thing

That can be shown in many ways.

Whether it be that head thing all guys seem to do

Or a girl staring at you

And finally mustering up the courage for a first 'Hello!'.

Love can be heard in music,

Poetry,

Words,

And sometimes go unnoticed.

"Buckle up."

"Have you eaten today?"

"Make sure you take your meds."

"I'll be waiting for you after school."

The words don't always have to be 'I Love You.'

Love is seeing them and breaking into a smile.

Love is shared memories and jokes.

Love is creating an everlasting bond.

Friend love, romantic love, sibling love, family love.

Sometimes you don't realize it until you've already fallen deep into the pit.

Sometimes you realize from a first glance or hello.

Sometimes it catches you so suddenly you didn't see it coming.

Sometimes you can see it from a mile away.

Love is seeing a movie,

Hearing a song,

Reading a book,

And thinking of that person.

Love is the dawn before a birthday,

The twilight before a sleepover,

The moment before going onto stage.

Love is dancing in the rain,

Watching a sunset,

Dancin' in the headlights.

Singing in the shower,

Like no one's there to see or hear.

The summer nights spent together,

Classes survived together.

Having someone there for you

Who knows you,

Understands you,

Helps you,

And dries your tears.

Love is something amazing to have.

Something hard to describe,

Yet not impossible.

With the words of an author,

The voice of the singer,

The swish of the brush of the artist.

Hard but not impossible,

To describe love.

We've all known it,

Felt it,

One way or another.
