After stubbornly getting into the dress by yourself and fixing it, you look in the...mirror? But it is a liquid surface? Either way your hair is a mess so you reluctantly ring the bell. As you wait your eyes study the silver, tracing the pattern slowly.

A woman, presumably a handmaiden like you've read of, comes in and smiles softly. "Good morning my Queen, the gown looks lovely on you, but quite the mess the king made of your hair now" she teases, gently brushing your hair.

You flush and set the bell down. "What is your name?"
"Well I believe you call me bluebell, my name is not easy as you like to say." She gives you a kind smile in the reflection,
"Well Bluebell, thank you for helping me." You hesitate, mulling over your next question. "What is my husband's name?"

She chuckles. "King Riston Kyrlec my queen. But I believe he has answered that question already?"
You sigh and smile. "I have a feeling we are close friends, bluebell. And he has told you the situation as well."

She hums. "Of course my queen. It has...angered him to see you like this once again, but his love does not falter for you." Bluebell smiles. "Breakfast is ready, do you wish to go to the library?"

The thought of turning pages and cozying up with a blanket. "That sounds lovely." You smile and lightly touch the braid in your hair, humming. "Lead the way please?" Bluebell nods and walks you out, leading you through extravagant halls with large windows. You glance out and your breath catches.

Outside was a bright and colorful world of many places, stretching farther than you can see. "It is beautiful outside" you say softly.
Bluebell chuckles. "I believe you said something akin to a fictional place called Pixie Hollow? I believe your exact words were 'It's like Pixie-'"
"Hollow on fucking steroids" you mutter.

There's a soft echo of voices and a warm presence behind you as you look out the window, a lively scene of beings and creatures, tiny for the vantage point. Your hand touches the cool glass slightly, breath caught in your throat.

"You can look upon your future later, we have places to be and you need proper clothes."
A warm hand touches yours and you turn, seeing your husband. He looks younger. Not a physical difference really, but there was something in his eyes. They seemed pained, worried, and closed off. Not that welcoming warmth you glimpsed earlier.

You nod and move away from the window, following him away from it and down the hall. An unfamiliar anger sat in you as you followed him.

You open your eyes slowly and realize you're on the floor, your husband cradling your head in his lap.
"Are you alright darling?" He held you gently, soft concern in his eyes.
You nod gently and slowly sit up. "I think...I saw a memory? But I'm alright." Your eyes flicker to the window then back to him.

Kyr scoops you up and stands, smiling. "Well I'll take you to the library, it's on the way to my meeting."
You flush, arm around his shoulders and head against his chest. "Alright." He is respectful in his hold, and his strong arms held you with ease.

He reaches the library and steps in, taking you to the couch as you look in awe. Vaulted ceilings, tall windows, and rows after rows of books filled the space. The smell of books and a fire was such a warm experience, giving a sense of ease and relaxation.

Kyr tucks a blanket around you and kisses your forehead. "I'll be back in a while to check on you, eat before you get enveloped in a book?" He smiles and heads out.

You let out a breath and shift, touching the spot where he kissed as the skin tingled. "It's weird having someone who knows me so much but I don't know them at all." But of course it would be odd, it had been a century of marriage and you forgot it all.

You reach to the small table and grab the steaming cup of liquid, sipping it gently. It tastes like honey and citrus, but lacks a strong smell. On the plate was a baked good akin to a tart, with a dark blue filling. Beside it fruit (a mix of familiar and unfamiliar) and bacon.

Bluebell comes in and smiles. "Hello my Queen, anything I can get you?"
You shake your head slightly and motion for her to sit. "I do have some questions."
She sits near you in a chair. "Of course, happy to answer any."

You smile slightly. "First, about my breakfast. The tea I assume?"
"Ulda black tea with honey. And the filling is a thittle berry jam over sweet custard. The fruits are Quala and strawberries." Bluebell points to each and then clasps her hands.

"I see. Well then, could you tell me more about this place and my responsibilities, surely it is not easy for my...Kyr to do it all on his own?" You set down the cup and slowly start eating as you listen intently.

She hums. "This place is a kingdom called Travoina, Land of Fae and all we protect. Our lands stretch a place that most humans dare not go, and have magical barriers to keep out those with ill intent. We have made peace with humans that live at the edges of our lands, and some have become a part of our culture and families, like you."

You nod and look at her. "But how am I staying young and around so long?"
Bluebell smiles. "A mix of bearing magic, being in a magical and mystical place, and your union with the King. At your union you tied your lives together. And while his life may have potentially shortened a few years, yours lengthened greatly."

"Bearing magic?" Both apprehension and bubbling, child-like joy fill you at the idea of being magical.

"Yes, you were born with dormant magic. The King is keeping your gifts at bay until you have your memory and control of them once again." Bluebell smiles. "This seems to be the same reaction as when you first learned of your magic."

You chuckle slightly and smile. "Well tell me some more, I am very interested to learn."
