Chào mọi người. Đây sẽ là một chương đặc biệt vì nó 100% bằng tiếng Anh. (À tất nhiên là trừ những dòng này và tên chap ra nhé hehe).

Lý do cũng không có gì sâu xa. Chuyện là mình- một củ khoai tây mọc mầm học ngoại ngữ- được ông thầy khó tính giao cho 1 đề bài khó nhằn, vào một ngày đẹp trời. Đó là: Em hãy miêu tả cuộc sống của con người vào năm 2175, sau đó chỉ ra lợi ích và tác hại của nó. Chuyện cũng không có gì nếu như mình chỉ dùng google dịch và viết lại nội dung, nhưng hôm đó mình đã viết toàn bộ bài bằng tiếng Anh, dùng hết khả năng để miêu tả bằng tiếng Anh và không dùng google dịch một chút nào, cho nên sau khi nộp bài có chút tự hào nhè nhẹ (Ngại quá hihi :>).

Vậy nên, mình quyết định đăng lại nội dung bài đã viết hôm đó lên đây, như một câu chuyện fantasy ngắn, với một chút thuyết âm mưu, mục đích giải trí là chính. Cả bài của mình khoảng 300-400 chữ thôi, nên các bạn hãy đọc từng chút, tra từ điển và ngẫm nghĩ thật chậm để hiểu hơn nhé. Dù văn mình bằng tiếng Anh có thể không giống với cách hành văn tiếng Việt, nhưng mong là nó vẫn mang lại cho mọi người cảm giác gì đó mới mẻ. Và hy vọng các bạn có một chuyến phiêu lưu thú vị khi đọc tới cuối cùng.

A ray of light shines upon my taupe layer hair and the left part of eyelid, as the robot sounds "beep", alarming 5.00 am. I wake up in the dawn of my birthday, as a matter of fact, the 153rd birthday. The birds are singing benevolently while I make coffee and reset my smart house system, and open the electric calendar, on which there is a clear date: February 27, 2175. I enjoy my steaming breakfast and coffee, as well as throwing myself into deep thoughts. Life in the 23rd century, especially the year 2175 has developed incredibly and brought plenty of breakthroughs to human beings, but it also potentialized significant drawbacks.

The very important advantages of life in 2175 are flexible personal information. It's been 30 years since my last time changing my name. I have had a lot of official names, such as Linh, Violett, Mimi, but the current one is Urin. I can swipe any card which include my name, and the "ting" sound appears, accepting my identity, afterwards I successfully buy a train ticket to the city center where I work. This is far different from the 21st century, where people had to use one name, passport, or identity card during their entire life. In 2175, people can use any personal information they want, as long as it is recognised by the govenment and local authorities. It's 5.00 pm, my working time is up, I decide to book a flying car to get home. The city lanes are packed with cars , motorbikes and bikes, while the train runs elliptically above, as people return home and spend time with their families. I used to have some families of my own, but this period of time I prefer being single. And apparently, I can legally married to more than one person. In short, life in 2175 may be more free than previous centuries, as people can change their profile at any time.

On the other hand, no matter how modern and impressive it is, immortal life in 2175 still have some negative effects to human psychological health. As it is my birthday, I invite my best friends and close siblings to a restaurant to have a night party. There are crytal chandeliers shining above the large hall. Music lingers in the air, together with perfumes. Automatic robots run as waiters to serve wine, champagne, and food at the party. My friends give me best wishes for the new age, their eyes are filled with hope that I would never be sick or old. In 2175, people do not afraid being old and pass away, as medicine and science can keep them live fovever. Nonetheless, being immortal also means that people have lost the definition of death, and the death becomes one of the most misterious, even terrifying topic. People in 2175 seem to have less courage than people 100 years ago, they seem to have more anxiety, depression and stress, especially in the field of age and beauty. I have witnessed some of my friends suffer from sleeplessness and long-term tiredness when they worried about how to become younger. Phobias are more complicated than in 2022.

When the stars locate in the dark night, and the city sinks into silence, I gently say goodbye and slowly walk down the automatic road to go home. I take off the navy ball gown, turn off the lights, and fall on the white cotton pillow. In my thoughts, modern life in the future may have a lot of benefits, help people enhance their life quality, but also bring various uncontrollable situations. However gorgeous the life in 2175 is, it is still a life with pros and cons; as a result, people should adapt to any change of it, instead of being nervous or doubting.
