Nyx woke up in the same spot. Tired and fatigue, she sluggishly tried to get up but felt immense pain in her stomach. She looked down to see her abdomen covered with bandages, slightly bloodied.

"If they done this, surely some more hospitality would suffice." Her voice laced with irritation at the lack of care the person gave her. If they took such tender care to her body why not take her out of the alleyway where more wanderers could appear?

Why did they do it in the first place?

As much as she wanted to go home and rest she needed to find who did it and question their motive.

Using her evol, she gracefully brought back her sword into her hand. Using it against her bodies so she can forcefully stand up. She grunts in pain and she stood up, clutching her stomach. She places her sword on her back, and walked away.

Her quiet walk amongst the dead zone gave her time to think. How the light from the sun cascades a pleasant imaginary glow despite battling against the gloomy clouds and shinning upon the worst zone possible. How her black heel boots click and splash against puddles formed in the cracks on the concrete.

After all her battles and suffering she endured through the N109 Zone, why did she received help this time around? Why so mysterious? How was she going to find this person?

Was it really worth it?

Well, it was the only person she actually interacted with somehow, since she avoided everybody since her desertion. She was paranoid in a sense.

Admist her lonely walk, did a crow fly by. In a desolated landscape where technology and nature collide, a crow with mechanical wings soars through the sky. Its glossy, black feathers are interwoven with sleek metal plating, the wings clicking with every beat. The crow's eyes, a vivid, penetrating red, glow with an eerie intensity, hinting at an intelligence beyond that of ordinary creatures. Its mechanical nature allows it to glide silently through the air, and its red eyes scan the world with a cold, calculated gaze. It soon found it's objective and swooped down.

What was distinctive about this person?

She was trapped in her thoughts until she heard a caw not far from her. She turned her head to see a crow sitting on top of a ruined lamppost.

She tilted her had in confusion because crows weren't common in the zone but none looked like that one. It's mechanical wings with its eyes gloing crimson just like the figure. Was it the crow from the roof?

Surely it had to be. The coincidence of her searching and the timing of the crow could never be more of a clear sign.

She quickly used her evol and grab ahold of the crow. It screeched against her hold as she brought it closer. When it finally made it to her she quickly grabbed it with her hand and inspected it more in depth.

Her gaze fixed on the enigmatic crow before her. Its sleek, black feathers were intertwined with gleaming metal components, forming a set of mechanical wings that whirred softly as the bird shifted in her hold. The crow’s red eyes glowed with an unsettling, almost sentient light, tracking her every movement with a penetrating stare. As she adjusted her black fabic against her face, she noted the precision-engineered joints and the delicate wiring visible beneath the feathers.

She gently extended her gloved hand, her fingers brushing against the cool metal. The crow tilted its head, and she could hear the faint hum of its internal mechanisms at work. The mechanical wings moved with an almost organic grace, a testament to an advanced design that seemed to blend the boundaries between nature and technology. Her fascination grew as she continued her meticulous inspection, aware that each detail might hold the key to unraveling the mystery of this extraordinary creature.

"Who do you belong to?" She mumbled to herself.

The only way she could know is if she followed it.

So she slowly opened her hands and let it go. But it didn’t do that at first, instead, it hopped in her hold, now inspecting her. Though after a few seconds did it fly away.

She began run as the crow flew away. She used her evol to make her glide against the concrete more swiftly. The water current under her heels made her move more like if she was on skates.

Where was the crow leading her?
