Dr. Nathan Noceda, lead scientist in the country, or even the world, on Nanomachines. A genius concept of a hive mind of microscopic robots that can do anything with the proper command. Construction, medicine, military; the applications were endless and he was at the forefront of it all! It was the proudest achievement of his life... but with every good thing, comes a downside. His down side? The unknowing neglect her was showing his loving wife, Camilia, and 7 year old daughter, Luz. It wasn't until his daughter was in an accident, leaving her in a coma, on the brink of death for him to realize it. It was weeks Luz spent in a coma, before he came up with an idea. What if he used his Nanos on Luz? Sure it wasn't approved yet, but the Human test were showing progress. Still, they were used in small doses like pills, not something like this.

"It's the only way."

Camilia was against the idea at first but if this was the only thing that could save her little girl, she would bite her tongue and let her husband do this.

'In theory, the nanobots not only self replicate but can replicate any material they sample. By introducing them to Luz's flesh, blood, and bones; they should be able to heal her injuries and save her.' Nathan thought as he use a scanner to scan Luz before he injected the nanobots into her bloodstream. 'Please, work. I can't lose her.'

How could Nathan be so blind? The greatest thing he ever made was never the nanobots, it was his daughter. The one he neglected until now. With them being injected to her, all they had to do is wait. 3 days later, Luz had finally awoken from her coma and was met with a near crushing hug from her mother when she found out.

"What happened?"

"Oh Mija! I'm just so glad you're alright! There was a terrible accident and you got hurt and you've been asleep for so long until your father saved you!" Camilia said with tears pouring from her eyes.

"Dad saved me?" Luz questioned. "How?"

"His technology."

Luz didn't know what her father worked in for a living but she was happy that he saved her life.

Over the next few days, Luz was checked out by doctors. When all seemed good, she was allowed to leave. All was well... until a month later.
