Both Neil and Avni were walking after that village guide. He led them to a small cottage. It was almost at the outskirts of the village. He handed them the key.

Man: ab aap log dekh lo.. mujhe ghar jana hai jaldi..

Neil took the keys and looked on. He saw the lock. It was an old rusted kind of thing hanging in the door. Avni looked on feeling confused.

Avni: (to herself) ab yeh lock khol kyu nahi raha hai.. itna drama to serial mein bhi nahi hota jitni overacting yeh aadmi real life mein karta hai.

He was still standing there with the keys in his hands.

Avni: ahem ahem.. kholiye na..

Neil looked at her and then back at the door.

Neil: mera mood nahi hai..

Avni: what the f... Sorry.. kya matlab hai mood nahi hai?

Neil: nahi hai matlab nahi hai.. tumhe kholna hai to khud khol lo...

He said handing her the keys of the house. She made weird faces at his words. She was about to insert the key into the lock when stops thinking something. She turned and saw Neil looking at the door lock and keys intriguingly.

Avni: wait a minute.. Kahi aisa to anhi ki aapko yeh lock kholna aata hi na ho...

She popped her eyebrows while Neil looked away trying to avoid her eyes.

Neil: mujhe sab aata hi.. lekin woh... woh..

Avni: woh...

Neil looked away trying to think something valid to reason for this.

Neil: woh kehte hai na ki ladies first to main bas wahi kar raha tha... isiliye maine keys tumhe di.. kholo jaldi...

Avni narrowed her eyes at him but said nothing. She turned and opened the lock. As she opened the door Neil looked at her with amused eyes.

Neil: (to himself) aisa ajeeb lock pehli baar dekha hai.. aur isne khol bhi diya... strange..

They walked inside the house.

It was of simple design. There were two rooms. A small kitchen area to the left of the hall. It was furnished with a small sofa set.

Neil: yeh kya hai??

He almost shouted making avni flinch in fear. She faced him and gave an impossible look to him.

Avni: dheere nahi bol sakte kya aap.. aur yeh kya kya kya hota hai... ghar hai accha khaasa...

Neil: is se bade to humare servant quarters hote hai... kaha phas gaya hoon main.

Avni rolled her eyes at his arrogant statement.

Avni: ab kya hai na.. is chhote se gaao mein aapko five star rooms to milne se rahe... jo hai yahi hai.. isi se kaam chalana padega..

Neil: lekin isse ghar kehta kon hai... main Raj se baat kar raha hoon...

He was about to turn to go out but avni stopped him.

Avni: please calm down Mr. Khanna kuch dino ki baat hai manage kar lenge.. atleast yaha hum safe to hai na...

Neil sighed and looked around.

Avni: (sighs) so ab jo humein yahi manage karna hai.. woh right wala room main le leti hoon aur aap saamne wala le lena... hall or kitchen common reh jayegi..

Neil looks on disnterested.

Neil: fine bye me.

He stomped to his room taking his suticase behind him While avni looked at his retreating figure. She sighs.

Avni: aaj tak aisa akdu, khadoos, sadiyal, gussail, rassi se khula bail (bull)...

Her cursing session came to a halt hearing her phone ring. It was her mom. She smiled at sat on the couch chatting with her mother.

Neil on the other hand stood at the doorstep observing the room.

It was a simple room with a single bed an almirah a small dresser and study table in the right corners. A small door stood between the dresser and study table which he guessed was the washroom.

He sighed.

Neil: ab is kamre mein rehne ke din aagye hai mere...

Throwing his bag in a corner he sat on the bed looking around.

Avni on the other hand also had the same kind of room. she smiled at its simplicity. Arranging herself neatly in the room she was about to lay on the bed whn she heard the door knock.

Avni: aa rahi hoon.

Saying this she walked to the door opening it. It was Rakesh standing there. he was one of their helpers in the shooting crew.

Avni: kaka aap.. ayiye na andar.

Rakesh: nahi beta woh.. hum to bas yaha samaan dene aaye the.. Raj sir ne bheja hai... kaha 21 dino ke liye bohut hoga yeh...

Avni smiled seeing the bag in his hands.

Avni: thankyou kaka..

By this time Neil had also came out of his room.

Rakesh: beta woh mujhe kuch aur bhi kehna tha..

Avni: kahiye na kaaka.. kya kehna tha?

He swallowed a lump down his throat looking at Neil. Avni frowns seeing his actions. She looked at Rakesh and then at Neil.

Avni: kaka aap daro mat .. bolo kya hua hai...

Rakesh: beta woh aapka ghar baaki gharo se door hai na to yaha ka kaam aapko khud hi karna padega.

Before avni could say anything Neil screamed from behind.

Neil: KYA!! tumhe lagta hai ki main yaha ghar ke kaam karunga? ummeed bhi kaise ki tumne... aur tum..

Avni: kaka.. aap jaye.. hum manage kar lenge.. agar koi aur zarurat huyi na to... main bata doongi.. aap jaye.. (whispers) dinosaur ka pata nahi hai kab aag ugalni shuru karde.

Rakesh nodded and ran away for his life. Avni closed the door and turned towards neil.

Neil: don't even think main ghar ke kaam karunga...

Avni: sochi to woh cheez jaati hai jo 100 mein se atleast 1 percent bhi ho sake..

Neil: kya matlab.

Avni: matlab yeh ki maine aapse kaha? nahi na... phir kyu ucchal rahe ho... Nahi karna kaam mat karo... araam se baith jao main khud kar lungi.

Saying this she held the strap of the bag and tried lifting it but failed.

Avni: (to herself) itna bhaari...

Neil saw her and shook his head.

Neil: (to himself) agarbatti jaisi hai.. chuimui kahi ki.. (to avni) ruko main uthata hoon

Avni: koi zarurat nahi hai.. main kar lungi.. tum jao yaha se..

Neil: theek hai phir karo khud hi.

He walked to the sofa at sat their scrolling through the instagram. Avni dragged the bag full of necessities to the kitchen. She was panting heavily.

Neil: (chuckles to himself) aayi badi main kar lungi... 

He made faces mimicking her words. Shifting his focus back to his phone he sat on there.

Some time later.

Neil: (to himself) bhook lagi hai... Phir se isi ke paas jana padega.

Taking a deep breath he kept in phone on the table and walked towards the kitchen. He saw avni who was standing on a stool trying to pick some boxes from the top shelf. Whole of her focus was on the task. She did not noticed Neil coming to the kitchen.

As she tried one more attempt to grab the box she felt the stool wobbling. The next moment she was suspended in the air. She had her eyes closed fearing a fall but opening one of them she found a pair of hazel brown eyes already staring at her.

It was Neil holding her securely in his arms. They had an eyelock. When Neil seemed lost in her eyes Avni felt awkward and tried coming out of his hold. Neil made her stand straight and looked away feeling embarrassed.

Neil: sambhal ke kiya karo na.. abhi gir jati tum...

Avni looked at the ground fidgeting with her fingers. She nodded in a yes adjusting her hair behind her ear.

Avni: thankyou...

He said nothing just looked at her face. she looked so cute when embarrassed. He chided himself for thinking about her this way. Looking away he cleared his throat.

Neil: ab.. main room mein hoon kuch calls karni hai... Aata hoon...

Avni nodded her head. Neil walked away taking his phone from the table. Coming into the room he thought about the recent moment he had with avni.

Neil: jab dekha ki woh girne wali hai main kyu nahi rok paya khud ko usse pakadne se... Uski aankhein kitni khoobsurat hai.. (he smiled) Kitni cutely react karti hai embarrass hone pe... uska chehra... aaj se pehle aisa khoobsurat kisi ko  nahi dekha maine... uski aankhein...uske gaal.. uske honth... (he stops)

Neil: honth.. neil seriously... kya soche jaa raha hai tu.. dimaag thikane pe rakh..

He shook his head and sat on the bed scrolling through his phone. 

Avni on the other hand stood in the kitchen stirring rice in the pot.

Avni: tu bhi na avni. itni careless hai... abhi gir jati na to kamar toot jaati phir pata chalta tujhe...

She recalls her moment with neil.

Avni: shukar hai us khadoos khanna ne bacha liya par ab uske saame jana kitna embarrassing hoga... Woh to koi mauka nhai chodega mujhe taane sunane ka...

She sighs thinking about something. sometimes later she turns the stove off.

Avni: khana to ban gaya ab khanna ko bula lete hai.. 

she giggled to herself and walked away covering the bowls and placing them on the coffee table in the hall.

Neil felt drowsy sitting in the room. He heard a soft knock.

Neil: kon hai?

Avni: is ghar mein jo pacchhis (25) log rehte hai na unhi mein se ek.

identifying this voice he rolled his eyes. He got up and started towards the door.

Neil: (to himself) drama queen seedha seedha nahi bol sakti... ismein bhi madam ko das episode lagane hai...

He opened the door and greeted her with a fake smile. 

Neil: mujhe to pacchis log dikha nahi rahe..

He said making it sound like taunt Avni pressed her lips but before she could say anything her eyes fell on the condition of the room. It was all messed up. 

Avni: hey bhagwaan,. yaha konsi jang hui thi.. yeh sab kya hai?

His room was all messed up his clothes laying on the chair next to study table, the empty suitcase stood on the dressing table. the almirah was empty but wide open. The bedsheets were totally ruined.

Avni: yeh kya tareeka hai samaan rakhne ka..

Neil: meri galti nahi hai.. samaan zyada hai.. kamra chota...

Avni shook her head in disbelief.

Avni: ab kya aapke liye showroom banwa doon? Adjust to karna padta hai na..

Neil: tumhe shaunk hai tum karo... mujhe nahi karna..

Avni: main to yaha khaane ke liye bulane aayi thi.. lekin yaha aake lagta hai pehle safai karni padegi..

Neil: NO WAYS!! dekho tumhe jo karna hai karo.. mujhe bohut bhook lagi hai... main khana khane ja raha hoon.

He walked out of the room leaving avni gaping her mouth.

Avni: khadoos khanna.

She walked after him to the hall. Both sat on the opposite couches. Avni served a plate for him and sat back. he took a bite. Avni looked on for his reactions.

His eyes widened.
