"Harumi has never been so... vile these days..." The Empress said.

"We thought we made her outgrew her hatred against you ninjas...but we were wrong...we aren't good parents. We have been wishing that we could have a child for so long...and then Harumi came along...she completed our lives. She was happy, we gave everything she would ask for, but we still feel like we didn't give enough. We made her a princess, we loved her the same way we could have if she really came from us. We never knew that she could be so vile, villainous, and destructive. She was so rebellious. So hard headed. We caught her many times already, sneaking out with sacked food for the less fortunate. We could've been proud, she was very generous, she has the heart of a princess, but we were so worried about her safety. We can't just let her run off by her own. She is a very valuable treasure, our daughter, our only child..." The Emperor said.

"She said something about you rejecting her everytime she asks you about her leaving the palace." Lloyd cuts off.

"Y-yes..." The Emperor looks down. "As the Royal Family of Ninjago, we are very valuable to criminals especially to kidnappers, I'm sure you are aware of that, and our family line has been living on for a long time now. As much as we love Ninjago, we also value our safety and our daughter's safety. That is why we chose a very private life... after all, she is the only child we had..."

"Wait, I know it's hard for you to lose your one and only child, but, locking her up in a palace? I am no parent but I feel like she also needed to interact with other people, not just the palace guards. I know you have to be strict with your kids but that treatment was way too harsh."

"We know she needed other people too, but... we are just so worried about her... and she was the next heir to the throne, we couldn't allow anything to happen to her." The Empress replied. "And honestly, we weren't always that strict of her."

"Until I read what she wrote on her journal that I gave to her." Mr. Hutchins takes his turn in explaining. "When she was first brought to the palace, she seem to be very down, so I gave her a journal so that she can write what ever she feels. I thought it would help her get her mind off things but... one day, as she was on her lessons at the palace library, I went to check her room to see if it needed any cleaning, knowing that she can e a slob at times." Hutchins gave a cough and continued talking. "To my surprise, it was cleaned and spotless for the very first time. I look around for any sign of suspicion when I noticed her journal on her desk. It was opened to a page which I just happened to take a copy of it off. Here." Hutchins hands Lloyd a rolled piece of paper. 

Lloyd reads the page. "Dear Journal..."

[Harumi's Voice]

"I never liked the Emperor and Empress, they are just a useless pair of people that the city decided to protect. They have given time in protecting them, but they never cared to save my parents from dying! And that pesky guardian of mine Puke-Kins. He may be ok a bit, but he is strict about me going out. I mean, whenever I wanted to visit my friend, he'd send me a bunch of guards as if I was going to attack my friend's house! UGH! How much longer will I bear with these old people! I wish I was just with my parents, happy, living a simple life... with all of this going on right now, I don't think I want to stay here much longer. 

Ever since Garmadon killed the Devourer, I look up to him. I don't understand why wouldn't people see his perspective in ruling Ninjago... and come to think of it, this adoption is the perfect key to the throne. Once it is passed down to me, I can give it to Garmadon, the rightful ruler of Ninjago. But alas, he has turned good... but I have a feeling that his dark side will return, I just know it. One day, Garmadon will rule forever!"

"It was my bad to be snooping around her personal journal, but if I didn't read that page, she would've executed her plan. I quickly informed their Highness about this wicked thoughts that have been corrupting the princess. We did not inform her about the discovery though. Ever since then, their Highness replaced her tutor with a well-known professor and gave her etiquette lessons. She was then forbidden to come in contact with the outside world.  Not much of something you expect to make things better, Harumi became a bit frustrated of the idea she felt like a prisoner with an irremovable chain. We became aware of her losing communication to the civilians, we felt so heartbroken after those bitter decisions we have made. But alas, those decisions became something we regret making. Furthermore, she was able to escape some nights, some were her bringing food to the poor, some were nights she came to meet up with unknown bikers. We never spoke a word to her about those bikers because maybe she was threatened to make a deal with them, but we were wrong, those men were members of the Sons of Garmadon. We never expected her to slowly create a dangerous fraternity. We just somehow wish we were better parents..."

"It's alright your majesties, there are no perfect parents in this world. We all make mistakes. We just have to make the best out of them." Lloyd said. "And as for trying to stop her, it really seems all this were set in stone..."

"We were wrong about you, Lloyd Garmadon. You may not be a royal, but the way you treat us and the people, is a way that only a responsible and loyal leader would have. You may be a ninja, but our eyes see a brave industrious prince. Forgive us, for being so judgmental in the first place, we only wanted what was best for our daughter." The Empress said.

"I understand." Lloyd said as he bows down before them. "But as a ninja, I am born to serve for the safety of the people. I thank you for the honor you bestowed upon me, your majesties."

"The honor is yours to take, Master Lloyd." They said as they bowed down.

A figure sneaked behind a concrete wall as they slowly got inside the trapdoor. Lloyd asked to be the last person to get inside. As soon as he was able to get in, the figure jumped on him and pointed a dagger to him while Mr. Hutchkins and the royals got inside as quickly as possible.

"I GOT YOU NOW NINJA!"
