The loud racket of his phone alarm filled Kokichi's ears. He instantly woke up, and shut it off. "Time to begin my plan to give Shuichi the best anniversary ever," He thought. He looked to his side, expecting to see his boyfriend of four years sleeping there. However, he saw nothing.

"DAMMIT!"

He quickly jumped out of bed, and ran down the stairs, only to see Shuichi sitting on the couch with a cup of coffee. He looked up at Kokichi and smiled, "Good Morning, Kokichi."

"Why the hell are you awake?!" Kokichi pouted.

"I figured out about your plan, and I couldn't let you do that, So I needed to wake up earlier." He, explained.

"Of course," Kokichi sighed. Shuichi had always been good at those things, being a detective and all. "Well, can you at least let me make you breakfast?" He asked.

"I expected you'd ask that," Shuichi said, taking a long sip of his coffee, "so I already have it done."

"What?! He really is a fucking Sherlock...." Kokichi said quietly.

They sat down at the table, beginning to eat. "Shuuuuiichii, I really wanted to spoil you todayyy," Kokichi complained. "You've one upped me every year and I didn't want that to happen this time!"

Shuichi placed a hand on his cheek, "if it makes you happy, I'll let you make lunch for the two of us. So long as you don't use a stove."

"Fiineeee. It's a deal," Kokichi agreed, rolling his eyes. 

(Time skip because I'm rushing to get this done. XD) 

The two of them had wanted to spend this day at home, just the two of them, and that's what they did.

The day was coming to a close as it was now nighttime, right after the meal Shuichi had prepared. The two were now sitting alone at the table. "Weeeell Shuichi. I got you something really special this year."

"I'm not too sure about that," Shuichi said. "You should go first."

"C'mon, it's common knowledge that you save the best for lasssttt," Kokichi teased.

"If you insist," Shuichi sighed, smiling. He took a deep breath and slowly let it out. "Kokichi, these past four years have been the best years of my life. You never fail to keep things interesting or let me know that I'm loved. Words cannot express how much I love and appreciate you, but I'll do my best with this next question."

Kokichi stared straight ahead with a look of shock in his face.

Shuichi got down on one knee. He reached for his pocket and took out a small black box.

"oh shit..." Kokichi thought, although he couldn't stop himself from grinning.

Shuichi opened the box to reveal a ring. "Will you marry me, Kokichi," He asked with a nervous smile on his face. Kokichi grinned widely as he had come up with what to say next.

He grabbed a similar looking box from his pocket. "Only if you'll marry me," he said, opening the box. Shuichi stared at the box with a blank look on his face before bursting out into laughter, Kokichi joining in. "Of course!" Shuichi shouted, still giggling slightly. They pulled each other in a tight embrace, happy to be together.
