Uh, hi everyone, it's been a while, hasn't it? I'm so sorry for having abandoned this book, I haven't had inspiration on it for a long time.

The truth is, I started this book towards the end of year 8/ F.1, here in Hong Kong. I'm now in year 11, F.4, the last time writing in this being well over a year ago in F.3 and now when I look back at this I cringe at every single detail.

I've been wanting to do this for a long time, but now that I finally have motivation, I'm announcing it. This book will be under rewrite and editing for the next four months- the later chapters probably won't be changed that much but the earlier chapters... ackkkk- the storyline probably won't change, but let's see when my mind explodes oops. I did think of just unpublishing this, but it's such a huge part of my writing career and was what opened my eyes to this world- without writing I'd be dead, it's the one thing keeping me sane even if I never post my work oops- and I could never bear to delete it. It's my first memory of writing and of wattpad.

So instead, I'm going to rewrite some part of it. If you would like to reread the parts I rewrote, when I finish it all I'll publish the epilogue (which has been sitting in my drafts for way too long!) and I'll tell you which parts were majorly changed then!

Another reason why I'm choosing to rewrite this is because I'm starting to make plans for a sequel. That's right, a sequel is coming! I don't know when this will happen, but if I do manage to finish writing my ao3 things by February and return to updating chasing stars in march, the sequel will hopefully be up by the summer.

It won't be about the protagonists in this book- well, I mean, they'll appear, especially the girl who will be one of the deutagonists- but the protagonist will be Lily (I'm so predictable sighs). It of course follows canon, but rather than focusing on the romance part of the story, it follows Lily's relationships/ friendships with other people around her, especially her sister. It'll be called for forever, after a song in Dear Evan Hansen (a musical I love very much!) which talks about a friendship that was completely made up on spot. You can make your guesses if you'd like to...

Lastly, I'd like to thank my partner-in-crime for writing, winterdawnzephyr for being there for me and this book right from the start. It was you who inspired me to write this, who read every single chapter first thing every time I updated, who gave me advice and so so much motivation to continue this. Although she's no longer active on wattpad, and she only ever updates her anthology, go check her out!! She's one of the best ever writers of our age, and her writing just inspires me so much- if I could ever be as good I'd be really grateful, but I'm more grateful for that fact that she's been here for me for years- we were in the same class for six years out of the eight we were in the same school, how crazy is that? I know I tag her in every single book/thing I write but Winter really is a gigantic part of my writing life and I'm really thankful for her.
