There are many interesting traditional festivals in Vietnam. It is the most important and popular holiday and festival in Vietnam.The dates of Tet differs every year but it generally takes place around late January or February. Tet is considered the best occasion for family members to return home and reunite. Before Tet, Vietnamese people clean and decorate their houses. Many people go to the market to buy flowers such as marigold, apricot blossom, peach blossom, kumquat tree,...Moreover, they buy many things: candies, cake, jams, fruit, new clothes,... Tet has a lot of interesting activities. Vietnamese people often eat traditional dishes like sticky square cake, braised pork belly with duck egg,...They often go to pagoda to pray for luck and health. They often worship their ancestors with five – fruit tray. Vietnamese people often visit relatives and friends, they exchange New year's wishes, adults give lucky money to children. Many people also enjoy watching fireworks, dragon dancers and playing cards together. Tet helps family members love and bond with each other more. So I guess that's all I want to share about Tet in Vietnam.
