qotd : how old are you guys?

I perched myself on top of a tree and stared at the vast scenery beneath me. I was angry and pained. The fact I was claimed by another male other than my own mate irked me. Along with the fact that Tyler didn't believe me that his own Beta was the one who claimed me. His words brought me both frustration and sadness.

Plus he thought all Rogues were bad. Which wasn't true. Sure a lot of them left their pack because they were more rebellious and can't handle authority, but a lot leave for different reasons.

Running from something or someone.

Demolished pack.

Outsider.

Born into it.

Banished. Each scenario is different and you don't always have a choice. When others see Rogues they often see us as trouble. Yet we see it different, although there are some wolves out there that wreak havoc for no reason.  I do understand that rogues aren't easy to deal with, I mean hell, look at me. I'll give him credit for this, but where is my credit?

Pack life is easy. They have each others backs and can trust each other with their lives. Food isn't ever scarce, money isn't too rough, they can get jobs because they can afford to stay in one place at a time! They have it easy!

Then there are the Rogues; the lone wolves. Everyday is a test of survival. One little mouse could be the difference between life and death for us. We trust no other rogues merely because we cannot be sure if they are the rebellious ones or if they have a 'Wanted' sign released. We prefer to stay alone because we can trust ourselves.

It's not like every other Rogue out there asked for this. We don't have the luxury of choice when being a lone wolf.

It hurt to know everyone out there judged us. Yeah, we have a rebellious history, but then again it's all for survival. It is a dog eat dog world once you become a lone wolf.

I sat in the tree, thinking about how I hated that Rogues out there were judged so harshly. I was stopped once a twig snapped from behind. I became guarded and stood up straight on the thick branch.

"So, this is where The Slip hides her herself eh?" Someone asked. I turned to see a figure with a hand on his hips glaring at me.

"From time to time I suppose." I retorted annoyed. I sat back down.

"Don't get too comfy Slip." He called out again.

"Yessir." I said with a salute, add in the roll of my eyes.

Something hit me hard causing me to fall from the tree. I last minute grasped the branch last second and hung in the air. Great, now I was more annoyed that before.

I grunted. "You know, I really wouldn't continue to go down this path if I were you." I said as I landed on the ground in front of the man and rubbed my shoulder. He was overall handsome but nothing compared to Tyler.

"Not your call." He said with a wink that's usually make any girl wobbly at the knees, but it didn't phase me.

"I have personal business to take care of with you concerning my mate." He growled out angrily.

"I care nothing of your personal life. Bore someone else, I have more important things to do." I said as I yawned and stretched my arms. He let out a warning growl. I widened my eyes and feigned scared.

"Oh god! Oh . . my god . . ." I huffed out.

"He growled at me! Lord save me I'm terrified!" I said while throwing my hands in the air and started to giggle afterwards.

"You've injured my pregnant mate and now she might not have kids! You soulless Rogue!" He screamed. Okay, I started to feel a little guilty when I found out that I hurt her . . . oh god . . she was Whitesnout from yesterday wasn't she? Then there it was. Soulless and Rogue in the same sentence.

"Thank you actually. I was about to pity you, then you insulted me and reminded me how much I dislike you." I said while preparing my attacking stance.

"I was going to be a father and you are not going to  take that away from me!!!" He screamed. Okay yeah, I felt really bad. I hit Whitesnout in the stomach on the day of my capture and I had no clue she was pregnant.  I dearly hoped they weren't in the same pack as my mate.

I'd have hell for it everyday . .

Without warning, the packmate lunged
