Wyatt let out a scream, falling to his knees. "NO! STAR! NO!"

Cassie stood in frozen shock.

Dagger's voice laughed over the intercom.

"Ding dong ding dong! A body has been discovered in the ballroom! You have a limited time to investigate before we conduct the Sixth Trial!"

Wyatt swallowed the lump in his throat. "What sick person would do this...?"

Dagger appeared behind him, grinning like he'd won the lottery. "Someone who wants to get out of here. Clearly, they saw the Ultimate Detective as an obstacle."

Wyatt growled. "Shut up."

Dagger chuckled. "But, since you just lost someone so important to you, I'll give you a nice piece of your memory. It concerns your best friend."

Wyatt blinked. "Best friend?"

Dagger laughed. "Yes, yes! Your best friend, Leo Stigmata!"

Wyatt frowned. The name sounded familiar. "Where is he?"

Dagger whistled. "Oh, he's in a despairingly horrible situation with his girlfriend. They're going through the same scenarios as you guys. Except for the fact that the host of that murder party has this weird, creepy hobby of breaking cute couples apart. More despair. You guys are all single, so I forced you in here instead. The forever alone kill fest."

Cassie growled. "You and the host of that party are both sick."

Dagger bowed. "Sick with despair, yes. Anyway. Who knows? If you manage to live through this trial, then maybe I'll let you go, and then you can go save the poor lovebirds. Good? Good. Now get out of my sight, you worthless human beings."

The two of them walked away as Dagger disappeared.

Cassie frowned. "Hold up. If the girl Dagger was dancing with what was his girlfriend...wouldn't those two be in the so called 'Dying to Love' mansion?"

He bit his lip. "We're missing something in this big picture. There's a secret we haven't discovered yet."

Chase came from behind them, looking distraught. His hair was tousled, his eyes bloodshot. "I...I found clues."

Wyatt blinked. "Chase? You OK? You look like you've been smoking something."

Chase scowled. "Thane poured cold water on my face to wake me up."

From behind him, Thane smiled sheepishly. "He sleeps like a rock."

Chase held up a gun.

Cassie shrieked and flinched back. "Where did you get that!?"

Thane held up a hand. "Calm down. We found it in Wyatt's room."

Wyatt cringed. "H-hey...you know it's not me, right? I wouldn't murder!"

Thane sighed. "Wyatt, plead all you want. True, you're a suspect, but it's not like we're starting the trial yet."

Wyatt nodded frantically. "R-right. I can prove my innocence."

Cassie bit her lip. "Let's go investigate Star's body. Just...get it over with."

They nodded, running back to the ballroom, out of breath by the time the doors opened.

Nothing had been changed about the murder scene, making it seem even more nightmarish. The blood was still slightly wet, yet there were clumps of dried blood here and there.

Wyatt walked over to Star cautiously, examining her before shaking his head. "I can't do this. We need Harmony. Where is she?"

Thane sighed. "Beats me. But let's split up and search. I'd say groups, but there's only four of us. So solo is better."

"I'll stay here and look on the roof," Wyatt offered.

The three of them nodded to his response, walking out of the ballroom.

Wyatt let out a breath as he stood up, walking outside.

There seemed to be nothing. The sky was eerily quiet, nothing in sight except for the relaxing flow of the cherry petals falling off the tree.

He decided to check the storage room, using the key in his pocket. The metal door swung forward with an eerie creek. The shadows on the ground sent a shudder down Wyatt's spine as he shook his head, clearing his mind before looking around.

The first thing that caught Wyatt's eye was the pink stain in the corner. As he crept closer, a distinctive silver piece of metal could be spotted.

The shape was clear when he was a few feet away.

It was a bloodstained gun. The same type of gun that he'd taken to his room, except for the fact that this one had been stained with someone's blood.

Wyatt picked it up slowly, looking at it cautiously. There weren't any bullets in the barrel.

He stepped back, deciding that the gun had been used to murder Star. Wyatt continued looking around the small room, examining each box carefully.

As expected, most of them were untouched, containing brand new guns or neatly stacked packs of ammunition.

"What is this mansion? A war zone?" Wyatt muttered to himself as he stood up, careful to lock the door behind him as he left.

As he walked back to the ballroom, there was a giggle behind him.

Wyatt turned around to come face to face with R.

R laughed as Wyatt screamed, backing up. "Hi there! I came back to see you! Looks like someone murdered another person! And they even somehow got into the secret room!"

Wyatt held a hand over his chest, trying to calm down his pounding heart. "God. What are you doing here?"

"Duh. I heard about Star's death. What else? You thought I came back to see you again or something? Because that's gross, and I wouldn't think twice about that."

Wyatt frowned. "Are you always on your period or something?"

R scowled, attempting to punch him. His fist went through Wyatt's face harmlessly.

He smirked. "Nice try, ghostie. I'm going back now. Seeya."

The ghost disappeared as Wyatt passed by the cherry tree, looking up at the petals before he sat down briefly and closed his eyes. He let out a shaky breath, standing back up as he walked back into the ballroom.

Not long after, the rest of the group came in, shaking their heads.

"I didn't find her," Chase mumbled, leaning against the wall.

Wyatt nodded. "Same."

Cassie sighed, looking around. "We looked everywhere. Where could she be?"

There was a moment of somber silence, until Thane cleared his throat. "Let's try the autopsy ourselves. Maybe we can figure out some clues from it."

Wyatt turned Star's body over, blanching as he screamed.

Someone had cut Star up, her face beyond recognizable anymore. Any signs of previous wounds were removed, replaced with a bleeding cut instead.

Wyatt's hands shook, dropping her.

Thane held a hand over his mouth in shock. "C-calm down. Let's split up again. W-we need to find the knife that did this. If it's one of us, it definitely should be somewhere in the manse."

Cassie and Chase nodded quickly before bolting away, followed by Thane.

Wyatt collapsed to his knees, looking around frantically for any sign of a knife.

Nothing appeared to be in the ballroom, causing the stress in him to rise up more as he stumbled up, preparing to run back to the storage room.

A gunshot rang once more through the lonely mansion, the time stopping in place.
